Went in on a Friday night and it was not that busy. Ordered our for food for take out and about 25 minutes later we got our food after they let it sit on the counter and didn’t bother to call our names. And we weren’t the only ones to experience this. The food is buffet style and while it tasted good it definitely didn’t agree with our stomachs and we both got two different meals. Definitely not going back.

I inquired about the«lunch deals» but the cashier didn’t seem too interested in helping me choose the best option. When she said something about getting less food in the lunch special I decided to go with the standard entrée since it was only a dollar more, and I was pretty hungry. When the cashier rang it up though I was surprised at the total. Turns out that shrimp is a premium. I didn’t want to deal with any more of this so I just kept the order. I stopped going to Pickup Stix a few years ago only because they seemed to be on a sugar crusade. Their food was so sweet that not only was it like eating dessert, but I couldn’t even finish the meal lest I be running a marathon with heart murmurs. Anyway, they have significantly reduced the sugar making the food taste as it should, but they were really tight with the shrimp! What makes this especially irritating is that I paid extra. Summed up: poor service, higher than expected price, and stingy with the shrimp commands a below average rating.

Great food, customer service is not as good as it used to be. I went in today and bought a gift card. When I tried to use it they told me I could not and I had to wait 24 hours. Why didn’t they tell me that to begin with. I felt that the manager«ksenia» or whatever was very rude and highly incompetent. The cooks undercooked my fried rice and it was a total hassle to have them correct it. I will probably never come back here. They should fire this manager. 2 stars!

Stopped in the other night after soccer practice and my daughters were not feeling Chipotle next door, so we went in here to get some Honey chicken. The food was fast and fresh. The girls inhaled their meal. Even better then the chicken was the service. The staff working that night(Wednesday Oct 14 @ 7:30pm) were extremely friendly and should be commended on their service. They offered my daughters the special fortune cookies as a treat and made their night. Thanks for the easy meal and friendly service!

The food was fresh and delicious! And they used all natural chicken in their dishes. There are also gluten free menu options. I’ll be back again for sure

If I could give them no stars I would. That being said. My friend and I went to pick up stix for lunch today first of all, the wait time was listed on the receipt at 10 minutes. We waited 20 minutes for food with no apology for the delay. They had their fryer down, no biggie just an explanation would suffice. Once we get our food we take a few bites and my friend sees a white hair in her food. She immediately went to the counter to let the staff know. I didn’t catch her name but she has red hair, she accused my friend of dropping HER hair into the food. The hair was white, my friend does not have white hair. Then the girl asked what she wanted her to do about it. Uh excuse me?! She finally offered to refund her money and make new food. As the chef was making food he would turn around to look at us to laugh and turn back around. Before they could even finish making the food we left due to poor customer service. Extremely rude staff. No professionalism. Will not be back.

Haven’t been to this place in a while !! Went in today for some lunch, and it hasn’t changed at all. Still the delicious savory dishes and great big portions. Full of favor There was a line, but I can see why. Great Food

Got the Kung Pao shrimp lunch special. The sauce was too salty for me, seems like too much soy sauce but it’s an okay taste. Prices are good but I’d still probably go to panda instead — 3.5 stars. Staff was friendly though.

Came here for lunch and the first thing I noticed was how clean the building was. All the tables, floor and soda machine area where all kept tidy. Although the line was kind of lengthy, the staff was ontop of things and kept everything moving quickly while still being kind and professionally. The manager was also in the kitchen helping to keep everything going and was also out front greeting the customers and clearing tables. This shows that he is truly passionate about what he does. The foods speaks for it’s self. I got a honey chicken entrée and words can not describe how delicious it was. If I could I would give this place 100 out of 5 stars. Will return for sure!

LOVE this location! All of 3 times that I’ve been there, the staff has always been SOOOOOGREAT! Super friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and I love that you could sub tofu in any of the dishes. I have always appreciated that you can actually see them cooking the food. My little one makes such a mess when he eats and they staff never seems upset. They always bring us extra napkins =) Not your most authentic asian food, but if you’re looking for something fast, fresh and better than Panda Express, than Pick Up Stix is the place to go.

Friendly hard-working staff. Employees are fantastic. More than amazing. All of them hurried to get the food out even though super busy. Stacie M was the most amazing — so organized and efficient. She juggled 5 orders at once and never missed a step, never confused them and got us all exactly what we ordered. I was very impressed. Sadly, some of the worst tasting Asian food we’ve ever had. Way worse than any buffet or Panda Express. The chow mein was simply noodles. And one huge half-dollar-sized piece of onion. That’s it. Nothing else. Orange chicken — tasted burnt underneath the coating. Bad flavor. Fried rice — no taste. Bland. Now do you ruin fried rice? Wonton soup — no flavor, 2 dime-sized baby wontons that fell apart in a LARGE soup for 2 – 3 people. Are we supposed to cut them in half? Soup had a good amount of carrots and shrimp. Crispy Potstickers — bland, no flavor, lame. Costco/Safeway brands are better. Wet Potstickers were ok. Curry chicken was spicy but decent. So out of 7 dishes, only 2 would we order again and the rest really did go in the garbage. So disappointed. Really was hoping for something great considering all the good reviews.

They are the best at what they do. For quick take-out, Americanized Chinese food, you can’t beat them. The house chicken is fantastic. The beef and broccoli is great too. Firecracker chicken is made hot enough to please most, as long as you aren’t under the mistaken impression that burning your mouth off impresses people or something. It’s hot enough to burn you again the next morning, which is hot enough for me. The food is cooked fresh to order, and that is obvious when you take your first bite. The fried rice is decent, but the chow mein noodles are top-notch. My only knock on the place is that orders are for two people, and priced accordingly. It’s not quite enough for two hungry people, but too much for me to eat on my own. So I wind up spending more than I’d like on more food than we need. Luckily, it’s pretty good when I reheat it for lunch the next day. I don’t often eat Chinese take-out at the upper end of the price scale for this market, but when I do, I prefer to do so at Pick Up Stix. :)

I came here with a girlfriend just the other day. I was happy to see Kung Pao Shrimp on the menu. Heyohh! I am a spicy loving gal! The cashier was informative and very attentive. After having delivered us our meal, he frequently checked on us, making sure we were enjoying our meal. Great customer care. The difference in service really stuck out from that of the Panda Express chains in the area, which was refreshing. The menu is also of broader selection. I will be enjoying other lunch breaks here in the future. This location is also conveniently off of I-15. Other nearby conveniences include Starbucks Coffee, retail stores such as Target, Ross, etc., and Escondido’s Auto Park.

So far to date, I’ve had great experiences with this branch of Pick-up-Stix. The location is in a shopping center that has another Asian establish named Saigon Noodles and yet, it still holds its own. The inside décor is bright, airy, spacious and comfortable. The foodie portraits compliment very well to the feel and the only I think would be missing is some music to set the ambiance. But again, this IS a chain spot. The customer service for this establishment is what set it apart from any other dining experience I’ve had in awhile. The register-girl was SUPER friendly, courteous and well-mannered. She was crackin jokes and helped answer my questions about the menu; making the entire ordering process fun and easy. Sat down and enjoyed my simple meal with some chopsticks and I didn’t have to break my bank. Case closed! I recommend!

I still like everything about Pick Up Stix and still agree with my original review about this location, but I got a big disappointment today when I went in for lunch and they have discontinued the lemon chicken. Soooo sad, Pick Up Stix!!! Bring back my sour lemony goodness! Otherwise, PIck Up Stix is still yummy(just a little less yummy), affordable for lunch, fresh and the staff is friendly.

2 stars pretty much sums it up. The food is MEH. We had a BOGO free coupon and decided to try this place out. Both my husband and I hadn’t eaten at a Pick Up Stix in a million years and now we remember why. The food isn’t good. I ordered the crispy honey chicken and he had the firecracker chicken. Both barely had any flavor and he said his was over salted(this is coming from a guy who loves salt). I placed a take out order over the phone and the person I spoke to was pleasant, which is why they earned two stars. We won’t be back.
