The food here is really fresh and service is fast and efficient, but I’m only giving three stars because of pricing and lack of consistency. Most of their items are too expensive for what they are, so you’re really paying extra for the convenience of ordering healthy food out instead of spending the time to make it yourself at home. The people who put together the meals aren’t always consistent with the orders either. I’ve ordered the same salad three times now and it has come out different each time. Today there weren’t enough greens for the price and way too much dressing. So I guess overall, if you want healthy food that’s fast and tasty, this would be a good option. Just make sure to specify your preferences about what you order and be prepared to spend a decent amount.

This place is my go-to in a pinch. I almost always order the Pangoa bowl because it’s not only delicious it’s incredibly filling! I can usually turn it into 2 meals(and I have a decent appetite). I love the juices as well(go for the green energy!). The employees are always friendly and super patient with all the requests I make on my orders(sauce on the side, no cheddar cheese please). Minus one star for lack of certainty around what’s gluten free and what’s not. The reason why I usually end up ordering the same thing over and over again is because I’m not quite sure what’s gluten free. I know there are a couple«gf» mentions on the menu but it seems inconsistent. And unfortunately, the employees usually aren’t sure about the right answer.

It’s a nice little set up on the corner of Davis and Sherman. My biggest thing is that I don’t find it really worth it for the price — minus a star. I ordered a teriyaki bowl with steak and the teriyaki flavor wasn’t great(minus another star). Also I’m taking another star for still being hungry after eating there. This place isn’t filling if you are hungry and also they were incredibly slow. Don’t come here if you are super hungry. I will say that the veggies were pretty fresh. One and a half stars for the veggies. Also another half star for the employees who were pleasant.

Location can’t be beat, but I was pretty unimpressed by the Tom Yum or Lemongrass soup I had. Just like with Lyfe kitchen, the things could be really good it just a little more care and authenticity and flavor could be evident. I think i just like more authentic tastes, and it seemed rather expensive for a clear broth type soup. Everything else was clean, healthy and appealing looking, but just too bland for me.

This place is great for all diets, paleo, vegan, even autoimmune protocol! You are able to customize however you want, which makes it so easy. I hit the chicken broth soup with chicken and loads if veggies– it was delicious, especially on these cold winter days!

Impressed with the breakfast here. Although I’ve heard their lunch menu and bowls are pricey, I found their breakfast selection to be quite reasonably priced. I got a decent sized burrito(the ranchero classic) for $ 5. The servers were also very friendly and helpful. They serve Intelligentsia coffee here, so that was a bonus. Went here with a friend, and we usually go to Lyfe Kitchen for breakfast, but the pricing and slightly more realistic portion sizes here are going to bring us back!

Coming to Freshii makes me feel so healthy! I got apple cinnamon oatmeal, coffee, and breakfast burrito with steak. I thought the oatmeal is a little too dry and some fillings inside of the burrito were cold :(Coffee is really smooth though. The people who work here are really nice and they bring your food to you!

Kale Effect bowl, Ninja Salad, Panjoa bowl, Lemongrass soup, the smoothies and the OMG fresh cookies on display. I can’t say enough about this place the food is awesome and the staff/management is on their A game everytime. Having lived in California and never falling short of having healthy food options on every corner this place is breathe of fresh air and genius all in one.

This place rocks! Good food fast and a nice staff too. Check out the bliss bowl with added steak, it’s a champions choice.

I still have yet to be won over by this place, though i keep trying. On the positive side, they probably have my favorite froyo in Evanston(it’s tart like pinkberry and not fake and chemically like the other froyo in town). However they do need to expand the topping list to include Mochi! Currently it’s only a few fruits, nuts, coconut, and chocolate chips. My issue with this place is that none of the salads I’ve had here are any good — the dressings I’ve tasted just weren’t that yummy. However I have not tried the bowls, so I will report back and update this review.

Ok, this place is killing it! I had a few small issues with their plastic containers and lack of wifi at the beginning — but they’ve corrected both of those issues and continue to serve delicious, healthy food and more. I now LIVE for the fiesta salad and tropical twist smoothie. Keep it up freshii!

Good, feel good food for sure. We stopped in to reenergize during a biking trip and enjoyed the food, but the knock is on the value of the experience. The food took a longish time, given the light crowd and my friends salad was good but not great– average produce. The smoothies was good hut not treat and I enjoyed my Thai quinoa wrap with tofu. Again, good but not great. I know it costs more to eat healthy, but yikes!

It’s always nice when something new opens in town, but I just can’t get that excited about Freshii. First of all, it stresses me out just stepping in there, as the space is very small and there are usually crowds of people waiting inside for food(also, you can hear the manager admonishing employees when they mess up, which is kind of awkward – but I suppose that’s to be expected for a new place). I’ve had two wraps thus far, which were mediocre and priced high for what they were. The Kona wrap, in particular, I was excited about, but it wasn’t well put-together – at one end of the wrap there was so much honey mustard it was almost inedible, and at the other end there was a bunch of tuna, etc. Yuck. Maybe their juices/salads/bowls are better? For now, I’m giving it a pass.

The frozen kefir! I’ve gotten it twice – once topped with mango and strawberries and the other time with coconut and strawberries. The mangoes and strawberries were really fresh and ripe. A nice alternative to Forever Yogurt down the street if you want something simpler and more natural. They also offer a Wildcard discount :)

We have been to lunch here a few times since they opened. Today my wife went and had a Metaboost wrap and declared it a «Perfect 10.» It has mango for sweetness, and balsamic for acid, and is loaded with veggies and greens. The whole is wrapped in a large collard green leaf. The wrap is a tad hard to bit through but otherwise she raved about this wrap. The location is new so there are occasional glitches in service, but there are good managers behind the counter making sure things get sorted out right away, so I expect they will be a well piled machine in short order. The space is tiny so there are few seats, it thrives on the take out business. Everything I’ve had has been delicious, and my daughter likes the smoothies. But it is not a cheap date — two wraps and a smoothie will set you back $ 25.

I might be a tad biased in Freshii’s favor, as the day I tried it was the day before their grand opening, and on ordering, we were told that everything was free! Super smart idea, as it generated a lot of goodwill among the customers that made up for the few minor glitches that you would expect on opening weekend(they forgot my smoothie — but the managers noticed, and then used it as a learning experience for the staff). I had the banana nut smoothie, and it was delicious — sweet but not sickly sweet, substantial(I think it has granola in it) and really really tasty and filling. Husband had a satay wrap, which tasted fresh, filling and wholesome. Their broth menu looked really interesting, we’ll go back to try one of those. A welcome addition to Evanston.

It’s about time that a fresh franchise replaces the former Argo Tea in Evanston! Fresh food. Fresh ambience. Fresh motto: «Eat. Energize.» That’s what I live by. The day I went in was noon on a Tuesday, so my stomach was craving for lunch. To do it a favor, I ordered the Mediterranean bowl. It was packed with loads of healthy goodness — half quinoa, half salad of greens, mixed with kalamata olives, red onions, feta cheese, cucumbers, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, almonds, and red pepper sauce! And boy was it filling, delicious, and fresh! Being a vegetarian, I didn’t «energize» my meal with optional antibiotic and hormone free protein, but you can add chicken, steak, tuna, or salmon at an extra cost($ 1.99-$ 3.99). There are also a wide selection of different vegetarian– and carnivore-friendly bowls, salad wraps, soups, burritos, juices, and smoothies. I’m looking forward to trying more of the items on their menu while I’m still in Evanston. Note that at the time of writing, there are only 2 tables and a side table facing Orrington Ave. There isn’t much sitting space, so it’s not conducive for large groups. But overall, if you’re looking for a convenient but very healthy and fresh option in downtown Evanston, swing by, and give Freshii a try! They’re open 7am-9pm all week!

I was biking past freshii and decided to try it, since I’d eaten at a Freshii place in New York, and was generally pretty pleased. The prices were exorbitant. I expected it to be expensive, but it was $ 15 for a small salad and a medium smoothie. And then, best of all, I open my salad and start eating away, and then i find a particularly unchewable piece of lettuce. Turns out it wasn’t lettuce. It was a piece of loose plastic. I’ve attached the picture below. Next time I want to get my dose of polyethylene plastic, I’ll make sure to drop by again.

Came here to try their breakfast burrito. I wasn’t starving so I split the ranchero classic with a friend and it was the perfect mix of vegetables and eggs. I also inquired about the juice cleanse(comes in 1,3,5 day options) and they were very informative and even gave us free samples of the juices to try! Highly recommend checking out freshii and even considering the juice cleanse.

If you know me you’d know that Freshii is my go-to lunch spot downtown. Helps that it’s convenient, and healthy. Which is why I’m beyond excited Freshii is opening in Evanston. I came here for breakfast on opening day, and was greeted by a bunch of very friendly staff. Who were helpful, and excited that I was their 2nd customer! I got a Greek Yogurt Parfait, and a small coffee. They serve Metropolis coffee, which is my favorite coffee. For lunch, from my experience downtown, everything is great. I would describe it like a Chipotle but healthier! Can’t wait to come back for lunch someday!
