Solid, but not exceptional food. Good service though and a fun little atmosphere. We had a good time, but I wouldn’t say it will be a regular spot for us.

Huge portions at a decent price. I had the Denver omelet and it was made and served very quickly. I used to frequent this diner several years ago and was happy to see they have not changed over the years. The staff is attentive and are eager to please. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves breakfast and has a big appetite. P. S. They do have small plates for those who like lighter options.

Burgers had no seasoning, tasted reheated and were crumbling from being so overcooked and dry. Service was fine except the lady at the register with«the personality of a door nail». Fries and pickles were decent. Won’t be back.

Ordered the California omelet which was very good and the only reason for two instead of one star. The service was not so great. I think my wait person was responsible for hostess duties in addition to waiting tables and the lack of attention showed. I saw her when she took the order and then after the dishes were cleared she stopped by to deliver the check. This meant no coffee refill during the meal and no inquiries as to whether or not I needed anything else over the course of the visit. Not good. Only a 15% tip was left even though it was Xmas eve.

Been here many times just lately for a great weekend breakfast. Good portions and pretty high quality make this a good choice, at least for breakfast. Can’t honestly evaluate lunch or dinner, but if breakfast quality is any indication, you should be pretty safe choosing 112th St Diner for anything other than breakfast. I highly recommend the classic Eggs Benedict. The cook clearly knows what they are doing! Other dishes are good, too, but Eggs Benedict is my favorite. The service is very attentive and efficient. Give it a try.

I’ve never had bad service here until today. Our waitress was terrible, I had to go up to the counter to get her to refill my coffee. It’s not like it was busy either, we were one of four tables in the whole restaurant. She needs to spend less time chatting with the cooks and more time doing her job.

Nice, calm atmosphere that is good for talking. Delicious food(everything I have ordered has been fantastic, even the oatmeal!), and the service is always so friendly. Great place to take visiting family.

My boyfriend and I came in for dinner and it was our first time eating here. The food here is mediocre at its best. I was coming down from a bad experience at a previous place we had eaten days before, and figured eating something light would be the smart thing to do. Before my main dish came out, even the salad I chose to get beforehand wasn’t the best. It looked like the bagged salad you could buy from Safeway slathered in a pool of dressing. I was immediately unimpressed with it, especially since they already charge $ 11 for a salad by itself. If they’re pricing a salad like the one I had for that much, don’t bother. Our waitress wasn’t the best. She checked in on us once, and that was when we were ready to order. When our food came out, I ordered the Pasta Alfredo with Chicken which came with buttered garlic bread that came from the frozen food aisle of Safeway. My boyfriend ordered Grilled Cheese as well as an order of fries. Something that really struck us was the fact that he was charged $ 4.00 for the order of fries. The menu stated that it’s only $ 1.00 extra for an order of fries if you get Grilled Cheese, which our waitress did not point out. So we were a little bummed out about that. My pasta was ok, not the best, but just ok. It didn’t seem like whoever made my dish seemed to care about the preparation, because it was bland. There was nothing special about it. I felt as if I was eating cardboard. It was literally pasta and Alfredo sauce. Even the chicken didn’t spice up my dish, which was disappointing. My boyfriend, on the other hand, had the same experience with his Grilled Cheese and fries. There was nothing special about either of them. The only upside to our experience was the fact that I apparently got free ice cream with my order. But we had a feeling that the only reason why I got the free ice cream was because we weren’t very upbeat when our waitress came with our check and asked us if our meal was good.

Overpriced, mediocre diner food with terrible service. I’ve given this place four chances with no improvement. Wouldn’t recommend. And each time I left spending over $ 50 for two people for otherwise inexpensive meals.

Ambience is nice and the staff amazing! Food is pretty amazing as well! This is our second time here. Our first waitress, Norma, was fun and engaging. At the end of our meal she asked us how we liked our breakfast. Then she told my husband she had something for him and he couldn’t share it with me. My curious was up and I laughed when she handed him our bill.

Just finished THEBEST seafood omelet ever! What made it so good? A variety of fresh seafood.. little scallops, shrimp, and large chunks of real dungeness crab! The omelet was generously sized, contained green onions lots of cheddar and was topped with real hollindaise… perfectly prepared. They happily subbed fresh fruit for the hashbrowns. And my fav rye toast was a choice. The coffee was hot and kept on coming. And the waitperson, Karen, was friendly, sassy, and efficient.

I’ve been here so many times over so many years and failed to give it the 5 stars it deserved. Just lazy I guess. Now under new ownership, I’ve been here twice and will not return. Complete staff turnover. Same menu but smaller portions. Most recently my California Scramble was so oily I couldn’t eat it. The buttered wheat toast had a spot about the size of a quarter in the middle of it that may have been some synthetic, artificial, butter flavored substitute(or maybe just sat on a grease spot before they served it to me). An extra star because it was clean and the server was friendly. So sad.

I hate to leave this place a bad review since in the past I came here fairly often and had many good experiences! However, today was different… Our waitress was great, but my food came out luke warm and bland. It came to a little over 30 dollars for two sandwiches and a hot tea(which I think is over priced given the area). BUTHEREISTHEREALKICKER: I went to the front to pay and there was an issue with the system as no one’s card(including my own) was working. I never carry cash on me. The woman at the register’s response? «Oh just go to an atm at the bar across, come back and pay.» The place did not look open and my bank was not close by. so I used the bank around the corner and got charged a fee from both banks. I came back and was ignored as the woman in the front was on the phone(finally addressing the problem I can at least hope) and just motioned me to hand her the cash. She said nothing to me till I spoke up about my annoyances with the fees hoping I’d maybe be reimbursed the charges because of the hassle. All she said was«Yeah sorry» I understand system errors, but come on. The rudeness and poor customer service? SHESHOULDHAVEJUSTBEENHAPPY I CAMEBACKTOPAY. Will not be returning.

We were looking for something more substantial than the continetal breakfast at the hotel and decided to come here. So glad we did! We both ordered the vegetarian omelet which was incrdibly delicious. It is huge, loaded with lots of veggies and a whole lotta cheddar cheese, just the way I like it. Plus it comes with hash browns and toast. You won’t leave hungry after eating here.

Went here yesterday morning and got upset with myself for foregoing this place in favor of Totem so many times. This place is very clean, spacious, and was relatively quiet for a mid-Saturday morning. Barely waited a couple of minutes. They have some gear options on their menu– so many I have a problem choosing just one. I choose the seafood Benedict and it was amazing. The seafood was just right and tasted fresh. The waitress was very polite and efficient, helping us pick something and filling out coffee quickly whenever it ran out. Highly recommend.

Nice place to grab breakfast. The Greek omelet was so good, definitely don’t miss it if you’re in the area and looking for a good American style breakfast. Fast and good service.

I wanted to like this diner SOMUCH. I really, really wanted to. The staff were so incredibly friendly and attentive, and my coffee cup was never empty. But. My California Omelet had two huge chunks of avocado in it – the cook had just peeled and pitted the avocado, sliced it in two, and tossed it in the omelet. It was just sitting there in the middle, uncooked and cold. It even had all the brown mushy spots left in it. The hash browns were completely tasteless. No seasoning of any kind. They tasted like the grill. And I don’t know what they greased my toast with, but it certainly wasn’t butter. I’m so sad. I love diners, and 112th clearly has potential, but something needs to change in the kitchen.

Came here for dinner with my husband a couple of months ago and he ordered a burger and the server gave him a hard time and made him feel uncomfortable. The customer service here is a hit and a miss. Sometimes it’s great, other times it’s not. The food has gone down, it’s pretty bland. I wanna try this place again because I love their tuna sandwiches but my husband refuses. I still love the décor of this diner, it’s a fun place to eat at but some of the servers are kind of on the rude side and it’s not worth it.

My husband and I went here for Valentine’s Day breakfast(although we went at 12:30 in the afternoon) and we were not disappointed! We were seated immediately and brought water and menus right away.(We came here after leaving Patty’s Eggnest. We had to seat ourselves and were completely ignored for 5 minutes so we left and came here instead!) The service was great. Our waitress refilled our coffee often and brought our check right away when she saw we were both done. It didn’t take long at all to get our food. The food itself was very good! Best hash browns I’ve had at any restaurant in quite a while. I tend to ask for«extra crispy» because most places barely cook them, but after seeing photos in the Unilocal reviews for this place I decided to try them as-is to see how they cook them. I’m glad I held my tongue, because they were perfect! Well browned on both sides. The bacon was thick and delicious, the pancakes were light and fluffy and not too small, and the eggs(I got mine scrambled) were very tasty. My only problem with the food is that there wasn’t real butter, just fake spread in a container. Also, I would’ve liked the option to pay a little extra for real maple syrup. I imagine the stuff we had was a knock off, but I am glad they gave us a whole big syrup dispenser and not just a little cup that’s supposed to somehow last. I would definitely come here again!

The hubby and I tried this great diner for breakfast and it was really good. It is very cute with lots of booths and a bit of a 50s vibe. We came on a Saturday morning and got right in(it is a pretty big diner). We started with a butterhorn and holy cow it was delicious. Soft and warm and sweet. The hubby tried the pork chop special — pork chops, eggs, and hash browns and he really liked it. I got waffles with blueberries and bacon and eggs. Very good. And we split biscuits and gravy. Way too much food but since it was our first time we wanted to try a few things. The gravy was really good with big chunks of sausage and lots of black pepper. The biscuits tasted fresh. The service was fast and friendly. All in all a great place for breakfast!
