We had the #2 combo herencia and 2 drinks. Cost was about $ 12. The food was good. I’d be willing to come back.

This place is a joke. After ordering fajitas and paying $ 14 it came with no sour cream or guacamole. When I inquired and stated every Mexican restaurant I have eaten in serves it with them he simply stated«not here.» Food wasn’t worth the money spent. I will not be coming back.

So, my daughter happens to be obsessed with Mexican food so when given the choice she will choose it. While at the mall, we needed dinner and here we are. At first glance I was really excited to find a la hacienda here. Until I realized it wasn’t a la hacienda. Sad. We shared the chicken fajitas, which were not even close to a fajita or even the picture of the fajita they have. It was a soupy, tomato paste filled mess. The beans were bland and shockingly soupy. The rice was over cooked and flavorless. Really disappointed here. Not to mention, for an «express» it took an awful long time to get our food. Do not recommend.

I was at the Everett, Wa. Mall on the evening of 11/30/2013 when I realized that I had not eaten all day. The Everett Mall has very limited food choices(unlike the Alderwood Mall) and I needed to eat something. I decided to try the La Herencia Express, there was no line. The young lady that made my food was very polite and the service was fairly fast. I ordered a chicken enchilada plate, the rice was okay, the beans were not horrible, the«chicken» enchilada had almost no chicken whatsoever in it. The enchilada was made using two tortillas laid side by side and rolled into one long skinny enchilada and I swear that there was, MAYBE, a teaspoon of chicken in the whole thing(and that is probably more than there really was) as far as the taste goes, it was passable. After taking a few bites I just threw it all away. I Love chicken enchiladas but not at this place. I, sadly, would have been happier eating something at Taco Bell and that should tell you plenty right there.

I was stuck in Everett Mall waiting for a movie to start. Starving, I braved my way past the crack addicts and homeless to the food court. Every restaurant was vacant except for La Herencia Express, which had four people waiting in line. It didn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that this was the only place worth eating at. I ordered their ‘Super Nachos’. While nachos are not exactly Mexican they are however, fairly hard to screw up. The super nice lady, who was absolutely working her buns off, told me it would be about ten minutes. Ten minutes for nachos! The woman ahead of me assured me that it was worth the wait. The man behind me agreed with her so I waited. Nachos are funny things. It is fairly easy to make decent nachos, but to make truly awesome nachos is an art. These nachos were art in it’s highest fashion. The chicken was moist, the veggies were super fresh. The whole heaping plate had been placed under the boiler until the chips were perfectly toasted. Every messy mouthful was heaven. Crispy, chewy, and popping with flavor. Not over spiced but perfectly seasoned. The Movie theater in Everett Mall is really nice so leave an hour early and catch a bite at La Herencia Express.
