Sorry to say but the dirty silverware, plates and menus so turned me off that I wanted to walk out even before we ordered. If we weren’t a party if 6 I would have done just that. Food was ok. Large portion of chicken parm was huge. Ravioli, rigatoni, and house salad were also good. Food was served piping hot as well. But 3 rolled silverware setting had crusty food on them. As did 4 of our salad and dinner plates. The dessert menu had dried food all over it. I don’t like to rate restaurants based on waitstaff because I understand that a person can have an off night. But the young lady we had was so indifferent it was almost bizarre. Salad came out after the entrees. No napkins, etc. At $ 280.00 for 6 people I want a much, much better experience than this place. Never again.

UPDATE:(previous review was one star) excellent experience. We were 11 people, quite loud and dysfunctional, and our waiter Justin handled our chaos expertly. We had a LOT of orders and even though there was some confusion when it came to getting them to the table, it was an enjoyable experience and much better than the last time I was here, which is great! I was very impressed with how responsive the company’s customer service is. After my negative review I was contacted and spoken to directly to clear up what I was told by the waitress last time and what happened is she had just explained it wrong and given me bad service in general, but it wasn’t the company’s fault — they had a chef there but it was that specific plate that was brought out and shouldn’t have been. tl;dr: my previous review was bad, the company called me personally to explain, I’m very impressed, it was the waitress and specific management there that was the problem and not the company, Buca is back in my good graces. I am an impartial customer and I was in no way pressured or asked to update my review.

Went with family to celebrate birthday. We ordered celebration cake in advance. After dinner when they got the cake out it was cold and cannot even cut… Found out cake was frozen… I will recommend not to order any cake…

I am currently waiting now for 25 minutes even though I had a reservation and showed up early to let them know I was here. I even invited another family to meet us here and now we’re all waiting in the lobby and the kids are getting anxious. I’d like to give them one star but the food and service is usually good. I don’t know if they overbooked their reservation list. And the hostess is doing a terrible job. If your going to have a front end person they have to know how to interact and direct people. This might be my last time at Bucca.

Made a 745 pm reservation on Saturday. showed up at 730. waited until 815 before we got seated. No apologies… food is good though, but what is the point of having reservations? We didn’t get bread either Had no silverware on my table. took more than 15 min to get my credit card back

Ever since going to Buca di Beppo in Atlantic City, my boyfriend and I were hooked. We were amazed at how massive the portions were and how reasonable the price was! So, I decided to take my boyfriend out to Buca di Beppo in Exton for his birthday. I was a bit disappointed by the service initially(we had a reservation at 7:45, but didn’t get seated until around 8:15), but our server, Micah, was very friendly and personable! My boyfriend and I split an order of the mini meatballs for an appetizer, which felt like a meal by itself along with the delicious fresh bread(which you could eat with oil AND balsamic vinegar — my favorite!). Then, we got to the main course, which was the chicken-wrapped prosciutto and provolone and the classic spaghetti and meatballs.(Can you tell that my boyfriend and I are a little obsessed with their delicious meatballs?) Both were absolutely incredible, and left us with enough leftover for 2 additional meals.

One word — Disappointing and tacky. Food was ok but the atmosphere is more like chucky cheeses than an Italian Restaurant. Ok for non-Italians I guess.

Two hours of my life gone… and I didn’t even eat my dinner. We waited almost an hour for our entrees after the salad was served. With a toddler. Need I say more? We finally gave up, finished our kid’s spaghetti and meatball, and took our entrée home without even seeing it. The spaghetti was an embarrassment to Italy. Overcooked pasta with under seasoned sauce. I should have known when I went to the restroom and saw that half a toilet seat had been cracked off a toilet. Management couldn’t even get it together to replace a toilet seat. Pathetic. The floor in the waiting area was greasy and slippery. I slid around in sneakers. And when we finally got home to eat our dinner? We opened the box to find a gloopy mess of lasagna. I had no idea lasagna noodles could get gloopy. I almost vomited. I posted a picture in case you’re curious and feel like puking. I recommend that you stay at home and open a jar of sauce to go over your al dente spaghetti. It’ll be less than $ 5 rather than the ridiculous prices here.

Best Italian dishes I’ve ever had! It feels like you eat in Italian grandma’s kitchen, full of homey flavors. All the dishes are family style that come in with huge portions. My husband and I bring a lot of goodies home. The spaghetti and meatballs were the most authentic one I’ve tried so far. The chicken was tender and tasty. The apple salad was so good. The tiramisu was the biggest I ever had in a restaurant. It came as a huge bowl! We were glad we decided to share the dessert. It was also delicious. The waiter was nice and helpful since it was our first time visiting. Definitely will come back again!

Took 10 mins for drinks to come, and over 45 mins for food to come when restaurant wasnt even busy. Food was great however I will never eat there again due to the 3 fruitfliew/nats that were at our table the entire time we were there. Are they in the kitchen too?!

This place is hit or miss, sometimes you’ll get a great meal, other times the same things aren’t cooked as well, like undercooked pasta so it doesn’t taste as good. Eggplant parm is good, rosa sauce is pretty good when done right. The local one doesn’t set the prices, but it’s expensive for what you get, compared to other chains, and you should get on their club to always have a % off coupon. And also not their issue, but the portions are so big, salads are like 16 dollars, so it gets to be an expensive meal no matter what.

Been to this location a few times, it’s nothing special. Mediocre italian food at it’s best. Prices are too high for the quality of service and food you recieve. My last expierence here was not the best. I had a table with about 8 people… keep in mind this is a place that supposedly knows how to handle large groups because of the portions. We had a reservation and were seated shortly. Took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come. We all ordered ice teas and waters, simple stuff. 15 more minutes go by and still no water? I see the waitress walk by and ask if our waters are on the way, she sort of rolls her eyes and says they’ll be coming out shortly. We ordered only a few things and the wait was exceptionaly long. After it took ages for our food the waitress never came to check up on us and ask how things were or if we needed anything. We were never asked about or given refills. And then when the check finally came and we were ready to leave, it took about 10 more minutes for her to come back to us. I think this is a prime example of how everytime my friends and I go out we recieve poor service based on the fact that we are teenagers/young adults. We order the typical water and servers just assume that we won’t tip well. They think that they’re going to recieve a bad tip because we don’t care… that is far from the truth. I guess their theory is right but the reasoning is so very wrong. I am tipping poorly because the service I recieved was horrible. Yes we all still gave her the usual 15−20% but she could have made a lot more if she was actually a good server.

Came here for dinner and ordered the prosciutto stuffed chicken and shrimp macaroni rosa. The stuffed chicken was absolutely delicious and can understand why it’s a bucca favorite. It has a nice crunch on the outside and the chicken is moist. Great flavor. The macaroni rosa never fails and is one of my go to’s. We substituted shrimp for the chicken that usually comes with the macaroni rosa and they definitely don’t skimp on the shrimp! Really friendly service too!

I have been here twice in the last few months, I was disappointed both times. Too expensive, not enough options and bland food. Maggiano’s is way better.

Okay, lets state a few things right up front. This is a Chain. This is a restaurant that aims at serving«groups» over smaller parties or solo eaters. This is a «family style» Italian place. And their food(we’ve been here several times now) is defiantly on a higher grade than most Italian chains. It is also the perfect place to go with larger groups(I probably wouldn’t go with less than 3 folks) and also not someplace I’d plan to «pop into». I’ve never seen this place not busy — reservations are a good idea. We usually have each person pick something they’d like to sample, and create quite the meal. We’ve usually(even with parties of 4 to 5) ordered the smaller portions, unless it is something that has things like individual chicken breasts etc. And the desserts. HUGE. And this is where the«debate» often comes. The sundae is something that is truly able to be shared — it was larger than my giant son’s head! And even he wasn’t able to make a huge dent in it. The seasoning on the dishes has always been«good». Not forever memerable, but definitely tasty and does well with the take home. The prices can look intimidating to some, but I have found that we we do the family outings, we always have food to take home, and the bill is less that I normally face when taking the Adult Children and Family out — by at least 20%. We have added this to our places to go — especially for group celebrations. Just remember — it is loud, busy and very much«family» centric.

Went here a couple months ago with three friends. Made reservations prior because it was a Saturday night. Told the hostess of the reservation, and she said it would be a wait. I get that, they seemed busy. Then, after about thirty minutes of waiting and seeing others go straight to be seated my friend asked what was going on. She misheard me stating the reservation and we were seated right away(passing roughly ten open tables — I get you have to save tables for reservations, but really? For four people?) Now I’ve been a hostess and a server for almost five years, so the least you could do is apologize, but nope. Oh well, at least were seated. Server comes over frantic after ten minutes saying«I didn’t see you!» And walks away. Ok, a little odd. Another 5 – 10 minutes we deliver our food and drink orders simultaneously for fear of never seeing her again. Now mistakes happen and that’s OK. Maybe we just happened to encounter them all at once, but the unacceptable part is to not apologize or take anything off the bill. I think because we are all only 22 years old we were treated as children, despite all being servers who are respective and tip generously. Have never and will never go again. Food and drinks did not make up for all the other service mistakes.

This location is great! Good service and great food. We made a reservation — which I strongly recommend as the lobby was packed — and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. They are family-style, which means portions are HUGE. The menu is pretty complete with most of the common Italian and pseudo Italian cuisine you’d expect. Great family spot and good for larger groups as well. I really like this place… u like it enough to make it a go-to spot when I want«good eats» at a good price that’s kid friendly.

1. waited one hour for a table for two. 2. Once we were sat, we ordered immediately. Food came 40 minuets later(we only ordered ziti and bread. 3. Food was mediocre. Not worth the(almost two hour) wait. 4. Seems like the kind of place you want to go with LARGE groups only. You can easily feed a family of four for only 30 bucks. It’s cheap, but not very good quality Italian food.(it’s served family-style so you share the dishes.). 5. waiter never re-filled our drinks.

Awkwardly waited for the hostess for 10 minutes, then ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and it was horrible. The sauce was watery and the meatballs were flavorless, also never got a refill. If you want authentic Italian food go to carabas or Rinos

As far as italian chains go, this is far superiror to others. They have a family style theme and really make you feel at home. As soon as we walked in, we were given a tour of the back, side, and front of house. Immediately we were at ease. Ordered the fettucine alfredo with chicken, stuffed shells and spicy chicken rigatoni. Every one of those dishes were amazing. The bread was cold but I like it cold. It was great for dipping in the sauces. Our server was very friendly, yet professional. Chances are you will leave with leftovers so don’t let the prices steer you away.
