Applebee’s

The new «10 $» menu is OK at best. the enchiladas are great, but the few others I’ve tried aren’t too good. been there a couple times this week and every time we get «Misty» she’s very nice and has a lot of potential, but she needs more waitressing training. I’m a waitress myself so maybe I’m being extra critical.

Brought the girls (6 and 7 yrs old) here for a girls night out dinner. Great location for families.
Our server Tonya was great. The most important thing for a server to do is to make sure the customer is ok. l however I find the constant ‘how is everything’ to be annoying. She constantly checked on us silently (but I notice cause I’m like that). Made sure she was there if we needed anything. The mark of a true professional.
Kids had kids meals. Meh. It’s kids meals. I do like the variety they can choose from and the side options. Only complaint is the single kid sized burger is teeny.
I had the brunch burger. Brioche bun, thick burger, hash browns (yes on it!), onions, cheese, fried egg. I’m not a thick burger fan but this was so good. I only had half!
Instead of fries (which were really good too — I snaked a few off dd’s plate) I had onion rings. Not too oniony, super crisp.

The new nachos are Great! The sweet potato fries app is awesome! I also enjoyed the lemon chicken. All was very reasonable priced.

Arrived at this packed Applebees at 6:45 pm on a Wednesday evening with my family of 5. The host assured us of 10 minute and noted that we were third on the list. 30 minutes later, we start to notice that several parties that arrived after us were being seated in booths that could easily accommodate our family. The kids were getting hungry so I spoke with the host and mentioned that we’d be glad to split our party to arrange seating. 15 minutes later, we are finally seated in the same size booth that we’d seen others (who arrived later than us, with no reservations) be placed in before of us.
Our waitress was friendly and perky despite having an obviously tired and unhappy crew at her table. She promptly took our order and then.. . we waited. 30 minutes to get food that had obviously been sitting under the warmers for quite some time. Don’t know if the kitchen staff was just that terrible, or if our waitress completely missed that the food was ready. Food was barely luke warm, fries were soggy — can’t believe that I paid for it but I was ready to cut my losses and run.
I can not recommend this restaurant, especially for families. Our experience was horrible and the kids all agreed that they never want to go here again.
