Went here based on Unilocal reviews… our experience was a mixed bag… I had my heart set on a clam boil… sadly the kitchen is closed on mon & tues, we went on a wed. so the«fresh fish» hadn’t been delivered yet. Our waiter in the bar, was very honest and upfront about this. so change of plan… score 100% for honesty. most other places would have just said«we are out of…» so just that right there warrants a return visit(just NOT on a WED) The pork & clams were very good and a huge portion… a hit ! my shrimp mozambique was fair at best, little spices. mostly just Franks hot sauce. entirely edible as I cleaned my plate of shrimp. as I just plain like hot sauce. The french fries were homemade and served super hot… a hit !

Totally not the kind of food you expect when you walk in. We entered through the bar side and maybe that’s why it caught us off guard, but this was a well worth it stop. Ms. Gloria is about to be 92 and worked there since 1977(place has been around since 1911). Terrific kale soup. Very friendly and attentive staff, great food. A+

This place is a hidden gem. All the old Portuguese folks in the neighborhood(aka my grandma) know how great this place is and I’ve decided to share their secret. I have been coming to Fall River for 20+ years and when we visit we EAT! I have tried portuguese places all over town and in my opinion this one is the best. If I had to pick my last meal on this earth it would be the clamboil from st michaels. The restaurant itself is pretty basic when it comes to the décor but what I care about most is the food and it is amazing. Also where else can you have an 80+ year old waitress aka Gloria give you the best and fastest service you’ve ever seen?!
