This is a good teriyaki place. Good food fast service for take out. When i go there to get food. i either get the chicken an beef combo or i get the chicken yakisoba. Fresh vegetables in that dish. Has good flavor to it.

I called in advance, because most teriyaki places I have been to it takes about 15 minute for the food to be ready. This place is right down the road from my house and when I arrived about 10 minutes later, my food was already waiting! The restaurant was clean, like really clean and I noticed that they offered daily specials. The pricing for the daily specials was literally what you would call a deal! I took $ 12 in with me expecting my food to be pricey because I got the beef and chicken teriyaki and I wanted to get chili paste and extra teriyaki sauce, but no. I spent about $ 9 and the nice guy working threw in chili paste and teriyaki sauce! I was expecting not to get much food because of the good pricing, but no. I had a ton of food! I couldn’t even finish it! I will probably be back and the next time try one of their specials. If you live in the NE Tacoma/Northshore/Browns Point/Federal Way area and want a go to teriyaki spot, try this place! After a few more visits, as long as I get the same experience I got yesterday, I will update my review to 5 stars!

Yoko’s Teriyaki very average restaurant. Prices are great, but food quantity are lacking a bit. The lady at the counter is very hard to understand, the actual place is very small compared to other teriyaki restaurants. The most frustrating about this place is that the food quality has been declining for quite a while now. I would give them another star if they start delivering but I know that will never happen.

I like Yoko’s Teriyaki Bistro for the quick take-out option. I get the Chicken Teriyaki combo with the 5 Gyozas and side salad Special. They give you a good quantity amount and the service is fast.

Asked for the family special the beef and chicken had a ton of rice pulled under the to go container… We will never do that again.

I have been looking for good teriyaki in the Federal way area for while. I still havent found it. This spot is almost serviceable. The chicken on all 4 orders(chicken/pork chicken/beef, 2 chicken teriyaki plus side of gyzo) was charred a little to much all i could taste was burnt water boiled chicken flavor. The teriyaki pork was decent enough, along with my daughters beef. The gyzo i really liked it had large pieces of cabbage inside. They really short the salad and very tight with the dressing. I guess they would like you to purchase another dime size amount for 50 cents. And the teriyaki sauce taste weird. I am not a fan of the sauce. They have different items on the menu that i plan on trying in the future. I really want to give them another shot. This was really a 2.5 star for the food. Service was fast. However, for our 5 meals they forgot the forks and napkins.

Rice was undercooked! Still hard not cooked. I hope they fix this problem. Chicken was great though!

As I’ve written in another review, there was the ultimate, best teriyaki restaurant in all the land named Yoko’s that sat right near the corner of 38th and Pacific Ave in Tacoma when I was in middle and high school in the early 90’s. The absolute best I’ve ever had so when they closed their doors, I was devastated. Jump forward to the year 2015 when my family and I moved to the west side of Federal Way and while making one of our trips to the area, we saw it. Yoko’s Teriyaki!!! Could it possibly be? Was this the same Yoko’s that I used to save my lunch money for 3 days just to stop in on my way home from school to enjoy? Unfortunately, I don’t believe it is. Some of the signature elements of the Yoko’s from my past just aren’t there but somehow, they have the same name. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed just based on the fact that it wasn’t the same place. I asked the girl at the counter if this restaurant had ever been in Tacoma and she said she didn’t think so but it was before her time. I didn’t recognize any of the workers and the owners used to run the other place themselves. This Yoko’s however is still pretty good. Not the best on planet Earth but still up there on my list. They charbroil the chicken and use thigh meat like it should be. The salad dressing is very very close to the ones that I’ve chosen as my favorite. The teriyaki sauce falls a little short of my liking but it does the trick and the portions are quite big. They give you a ton of rice too. More than you’d expect. Their lunch specials are a pretty good deal and they are the best teriyaki restaurant that is close to my apartment so I go back pretty often. I am a very stubborn critic when it comes to teriyaki restaurants. It is one of my top 5 dishes of all time and I like it the way I like it. Some people treat teriyaki like most people treat pizza and think that it’s all good no matter where you get it but I disagree with that. There is bad pizza just like there is bad teriyaki in my opinion or bad beer for that matter. On the scale of things though, Yoko’s is doing a very good job and I would recommend it to anyone who lives in the area or who is just cruising through looking for a good meal. Thanks for reading.

Ordered the chicken breast teriyaki and a side of short ribs. Not a bad place, decent portions and quick service, lots of parking, average prices, but nothing to write home about either. Wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but definitely better than a few places I’ve checked out nearby.

I stop by Yoko’s quite often when I’m in town visiting the family. They give a good amount of food for a great price compared to other teriyaki places. Just $ 6.99 for their Special 1!(Chicken teriyaki with 5 Gyozas). My go-to meal here is a Spicy Special 1 with no sauce(teriyaki chicken is already marinated and tastes bomb even without the gobs of added sauce). It’s delicious AF. I only wish they had a brown rice option, but not a deal-breaker in the slightest!

Alright service. But I love love love the food. It’s my regular teriyaki and it’s what my family gets every time!

I have been going to this place for years. The food and service were pretty good at one time, but took a severe downturn. I showed up 17 minutes before closing. The cashier«greeted» me with an unpleasant look and tone of voice. She asked me if I wanted it «for here» or «to go». I said I would like it for here, if I have enought time. Then she made a decision for ME in an icy tone: «to go». I cancelled my order and left. What normally is a 3 star experience, I downgraded to 1 star. This young person needs to learn to be respectful to customers, especially when they are decades older than her. I don’t plan on going back. There are a lot of teryaki places in the area that appreciate your business; this is not one of them.

I love coming here when I need something quick and easy. The gyozas are always good and everything comes out the way you want it. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes it doesn’t leave you feeling to good.

I have been going here for years and have had the same great food everytime. The amount and quality of the food they provide keeps me coming back. They are my go to for teriyaki and I always refer them to my friends.

I think the owners have realized that rice was not enough previously… if you go there now they have better customer service plus they have rice under the chicken too so you get more rice now. I will rate this 5 because it tastes delicious and I love that they have a lot of rice now! :)

Have been to many teriyaki places around the king county and pierce county area and this place has changed over the years. I live 2 min away from this place and decided to get dinner for my boyfriend and I. Our food was done in literally 4 min. Went home and opened the box of food and saw that there was one scoop of rice and the chicken was dry with barely any sauce. There was a container of teriyaki sauce in the next compartment where there used to be rice. I then opened the salad and found romaine lettuce and the dressing to be less than 1 tsp, I guess they want people to buy extra sauce -.-. I feel that for 6 $-$ 7 they could do better with their portions at least for the dressing and teriyaki sauce.

We just moved to FW a couple months ago and have only been here twice. First time – food was awesome! Reminded us of Bucks in Kent. We really enjoyed food and service was fast and nice! I just went in about an hour ago to pick up some dinner. After I ordered I was waiting for receipt and woman to get off phone and witnessed the most disgusting thing restaurant wise imaginable. There were three«cooks/chefs» in the back and only one had gloves on. The guy on the grill. The other one I couldn’t tell what he was handling but I know he wasn’t wearing gloves. The third man was cutting up vegetables and in the same breath picked up a big pile of noodles WITHHISBAREHANDS and put into a wok… if that wasn’t bad enough… he then walked over to the door and opened it touching the handle with his bare hands… then went back to the vegetables to begin cutting again. I almost threw up in my mouth. I told the woman what I saw and for a second she looked mortified(I think because someone called them out – not that she thought it was gross). I said he needs to wash his hands and put on gloves. She said ok and she would talk to him. I noticed after that she kept on taking orders and I did not notice her say a word to the man… We will never come back to this place again. Now I don’t wonder when I walk into those restaurants that have the curtain hiding the kitchen… because nasty stuff like that goes on. Excuse me now while I go throw up…

Local teriyaki spot that has been very consistent over the years. The chicken teriyaki and gyoza special has a full time spot on the menu. Price and portions are both very fair at $ 6.95. If you are in the area and looking for a cheap/fast eat then I recommend it.
