So good, the lovely lady at the register that gets you coffee is an ANGEL! Love her, she makes cherry grove pleasant.

Child please. It’s one thing to be way overcharged for stale muffins and watery coffee; but to get served stank attitude by the bitter bear behind the counter? No thank you ma’am. Note to the owners: that ‘Cliff’ person that works there is quite an angry creature. Smile dear, it’s not that bad.

Floyd’s is the best breakfast and lunch on fire island. I tried the half baked steel cut oats recently with yogurt and lemon curd. BEST OATMEAL EVER! They really care about their food and the flavor of every dish on the menu. They’re muffins are cake like and very good. You can’t really I wrong here and friendly atmosphere and open seating makes it easy to make new friends. I love Floyd’s and can’t wait to go back.

We love Floyd’s and it’s one of the highlights of our yearly trip! They are the quintessential breakfast/​brunch place! Coffee (or iced coffee) hits the spot, and the food is always tasty & filling. The huevos rancheros are my usual choice (you actually get a real plate with that one, which is always a plus on fire island). We also love the outdoor «bar» seating & people watching. Hats off to Floyd’s!

Stalwart Cherry Grove casual establishment where the Farmer’s Scramble (I get mushrooms instead of the meat options) is a meal for two (or a hungry one) and their Breakfast sandwiches on some fancy bread are found to be addictive by all who indulge. Free refills on the coffee, and there seem to be a plethora of coffee fans dropping by for a cup… The big guy who takes your order is a bit of a Soup Nazi. Don’t dare ask a question or try to order something until he asks you. Then take your doggy sign to your table to wait for your well prepared order (place is named after a beloved deceased dog, and the charming doggy theme lives on… Curmudgeony cashier/​order taker is harmless enough, and much easier to deal with when you know what to expect… So you have been warned! LOL. Seriously: Great place. Pricey, but this is Fire Island where nuthin is cheap.
