Wonderful staff and great food. I’ve literally never had anything here that wasn’t awesome. In my opinion this is the best Chinese food in the northern Kentucky area

Very good food. Quiet atmosphere. Prices are the usual. Zechiwan chicken was great ! Or however you spell it. Better than most Chinese spots! Def beats out Panda Express just not as quick to get your food.

Above all, the food was horrible. I can pick this restaurant as one of the 3 worst Chinese restaurants in my life. But considering that there might be no good Chinese restaurant in Florence, I guess this place could be a good choice for locals. For me? It was the first and last visit.

Great food and service! The restaurant was fairly busy and we could tell they were chore-staffed…but we still received great food and great service. I would recommend this place to anyone. Quiet, clean and friendly.

This place serves pretty good food at good prices. Its what you would expect from a typical Chinese restaurant, but the food is just that little bit better than you’d get most other places like it.

The service was not great at all. The lady who took the order was very unfriendly. I ordered the schzuean chicken egg drop soup and an egg roll. It all was horrible. It was very bland tasting without flavor. I’m not one to write reviews but I love Chinese food and this was by far the worst. I took a few bites to ensure it just wasn’t me and I threw it away and went elsewhere. $ 10 down the drain!

Fantastic restaurant. Beautifully decorated inside and a very peaceful setting to eat. Servings are of generous helpings and I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t fall in love with. Everytime I go it seems rather empty but allows you to get a table the second you walk in. Defiantly on my frequent eats list.

There are few Chinese restaurants I’ll eat at in Kentucky. We tried here based on the other reviews, and we are forever customers now. Their pan-fried dumplings are heavenly. My fiancé for the General Tso’s Chicken and loved it. I got my usual, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and it was fantastic. When we needed to go boxes(for $ 9.95, we got more than enough for two meals), she even brought me an enormous amount of extra rice to reheat at home. We were very impressed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for the best Chinese in the area.

So I have to review this place because I think there amazing !! I don’t like hotnsour soup but here it’s amazing !! Everything is always fast and delicious !! The general tsp chicken is my favorite but my family of 5 all get something different and love everything. If my kids are sick they only want hotnsour soup from here ! It will open you right up :) I hesitate to give it a review as I love being able to get a table whenever I want but I am so addicted to this place that I wanted to share. It’s right by walmart on Houston but kinda hidden on the strip mall with Sally’s .my parents drive from Cincinnati to eat here !! Enjoy

Wonderful dinner. The Chinese family are both from hospitality backgrounds. The husband was a chef at a major hotel in Hong Kong. Both are gracious hosts. The dinners were well prepared and authentic. The restaurant is exceptionally well cared for in all areas I visited and could examine. I would recommend visiting for a wonderful dinner or lunch.

Great Chinese food! After a long day at the recent NASCAR race we ordered take-out and we weren’t disappointed. Excellent flavor and we had enough left over for lunch the following day. Can’t wait for our next trip to Florence.

Just ate there for the first time. Nice, clean, a bit dark but I was not there for the décor anyways. The General Tao’s Chicken was superb and the chicken and shrimp was not bad. Since this is my first time there I have yet to try all of the menu items for a fair look but it was defitnelty a starting three star UNTIL I saw that they served duck and that is rare in this area. So the duck option removed it from americanized chinese food one can find anywhere. By the way the duck was excellent-this bumped it a star up for me. So if the hunger for chinese food ticlkes your fancy stop on by, grab a soup and enjoy a dish or two at a reasonable price.

My favorite«chinese» food in NKY. I must admit, I have an obsession with chinese food, sometimes I get the craving and just have to have it. I have started visiting Memories of China even though there are multiple closer restaurants to me in Hebron. Every time I have ordered take out it has been fresh, hot and tasty. Dine in, however is even better. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. On the most recent visit we had the crab rangoon’s and egg drop soup for appetizers, I had Singapore noodles and my wife had the Orange Chicken for dinner. The rangoon’s were not bad for your typical flat fried rangoon’s — the cheesy filling plentiful and tasty. The egg drop soup was fantastic. I have a bit of an obsession with egg drop soup and it was some of the best I have had in the area, thick, rich and flavorful. I must say the Singapore noodles might be my new favorite dish, seasoned wonderfully with curry and full of delicious flavors. The one thing I did not expect was for the chicken in the dish to be so moist, juicy and perfectly cooked, a stark contrast from the typically dry overcooked pieces i usually receive at most restaurants. The wife’s Orange chicken was quite good, very flavorful and the chicken was crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside, again cooked just right. Memories of China is better than your average chinese and well worth a visit.

Probably the best Chinese I’ve found in Florence. I had the Szechuan Chicken lunch which includes egg roll and soup all for about $ 6! The hot & sour soup was really good with a very peppery flavor and nice kick to it. Egg roll was nice and crisp and vegetables tasted good and firm. The Szechuan Chicken had a really good flavor and the chicken was nice lean white meat that wasn’t overcooked. My only complaint was that it wasn’t very hot when I got it. My mom had the General Tao’s Chicken which she said was very good and way too hot to eat right away. She had to wait for it to cool down. They were quite busy at lunch time, so I will chalk it up to a food timing issue. My wife and I ordered delivery from here on Sunday night. The quality was still very good and my Chicken Szechuan was hot this time. They are located by the Walmart in Florence, but will deliver to south Florence(by Union).

I consider Memories of China to be one of Florence, KY’s hidden gems. It is located in a strip of stores adjacent to the south end of the Wal-Mart parking lot. To be honest, when we first moved to the area, I thought it was some sort of gift shop. Shortly thereafter a banner reading«Restaurant» was added so no one else need be confused. (the banner has now been replaced with a permanent sign) I have eaten here on half a dozen occasions, the service and the food have always been excellent and don’t be surprised if upon making a second or third visit that hostess Julia remembers what your preferences from previous visits. My most recent visit, I had the Seafood Delight, chock full of shrimp, scallops, white fish and imitation crab legs(not a surprise, the menu clearly states«imitation») along with broccoli, mushrooms and the normal array of Chinese vegetables. It made for a wonderful dinner and a lunch at work that I was looking forward to from the time I left for work the next day. On previous visits I have also been very pleased with chicken and beef dishes, all pretty standard Chainese fare, but done well and presented in a relaxed, but certainly not take-out storefront tacky mode as is often the case. They offer catering services, delivery and carry out and there is a full bar if you are eating in. Please, go and try it, I think you will be back and pleased to show off your discovery to friends. Truly my only concern is that I have never seen this restaurant truly busy, maybe their lunch business is strong, or I just have chosen to go on evenings when they were not busy, but I would certainly hate to see Memories of China become just a memory.

Tolerable from a boy raised on Taiwanese food from Taiwan, and eater of great San Francisco bay Chinese food. The quantity is cheaper and larger than PF Cheng(the only thing I can compare to out here in KY). The quality is more authentic, but understandable bland(due to the common customers here who cries at too much black pepper). So, I have had better, but I would pick this over the rest around Florence, KY. For those concerned about things besides food: Environment is quaint(above hole in the wall, but not cloth napkin level) and clean enough. There is a bar, but I haven’t seen anyone sit at it. Service is two wait staff and a few cooks, so slow if more than 7 tables of people. They did get me chopsticks, but non-asian people have to ask. Parking: Plenty and close to a Super Walmart’s super big parking lot. Visit 1: May 10, 20108pm [1] Salt+Pepper Fried Tofu, about $ 5 = 6 Soft tofu, about 1 inch cubes. = okay skin, but not much flavor beyond the breading. = I asked the chef to add basil. [2] House Special Pan Fried Fish Fillets, about $ 15 = 18 pieces of fish fillets 2“X1″. [3] Mango Blended Drink, $ 2.75 = real mango purée-ed = good Visit 2: May 12, 20106pm [1] Tempure Shrimp, about $ 6 = 3 battered shrimp about 3″ long and almost a centimeter wide. = decent enough = wait staff remembered my comment about basil, so added 1 sprig of basil with 6 leaves. [2] Double-cooked Noodles with shrimp, about $ 10 = Hong Kong Fried Noodles, seared a second time, with veggies and sauce + meat = meh, lost too much crunch with the sauce. Except for 5 snow peas and 8 water-chestnuts, nothing crunchy. = told chef to add crunch by charring the meat seperately, and adding it ontop of all the sauce and soggy noodles. = I added the last basil leaf and it added to the flavor. [3] Mango Blended Drink, $ 2.75 = real mango purée-ed = still good
