Other Unilocal’rs were right, this place is good, the cashier, possibly the owner, is very friendly and welcoming. They cook your meal (chicken & beef) once you complete your order, ideal for pick-​up. Not overly salty with good flavor. I like this place and I will be coming back.

This will surely be my new «go to» place! I moved to the area about a year ago and shockingly never ate here until today. Not sure how that happened. Food is fabulous. Fish is fresh. Service is friendly and quick. A+!
I had the hot soba. It was prepared perfectly with a delicious flavorful broth. The tuna sashimi tataki was fresh and nicely served. My boyfriend has the spicy tofu which was likewise amazing. As I said, this will surely be my new go to restaurant when I need my sushi fix. Yum!!!

The service is absolutely excellent. Even the kitchen staff smiles and waves at me when we make eye contact. The food is delicious and cheap! What’s not to love?
I got the chicken Teriyaki plate which was pretty standard. It tasted average.
Then I tried the Cajun chicken bowl, wow! Now that is some amazing stuff. The bowl is only $ 5 give or take some tax, includes a small soup, and it’s soo good!
This is my new favorite spot for lunch. Whenever I come here, it’s never too crowded to my surprise. Yay for no lines :)
There’s weekly specials so be sure to check what’s on sale that week. It’s usually something 10 to 20% off, 20% for lunch and 10% other times.

Don’t like sushi… But turns out they have Ramen! The first time I ever chose to go to a sushi place! It was Cajun chicken ramen… Didn’t even know that was a thing but I’m in.

Affordable and delicious — what more could you want? The lunch discount is crazy… A chicken teriyaki plate for 5.60 (tax included) in 2015?
Also, the gentleman working there is just amazing… he brightens my day from just talking to him.
Great selection of Japanese food from typical American-​style sushi to sashimi. Yakisoba, ramen, udon…
I probably don’t have to say this, but please tip.

My girlfriend move to the area. We came here and almost turned away because of how it looked. We were in the car driving away when we decided to turn back and give it a try. Best decision ever. We both got a combo with chicken, miso soup, and udon for 9 bucks. It Is definitely more than you can eat in one sitting and it was amaazzing as well! To top it all off, the japanese chef is just the coolest dude ever, always smiling and eager to help. One of those places you wished more people knew about so that the business could reall boom! Definitely give it a try: D

I have been going here for lunch about once a week for over 7 years.
Friendly, quick service. Great value for the money.
I like spicy food, so I often try their Cajun Chicken or Salmon, which is great! (not what you were expecting at a sushi place).

Family owned.
Lots of variety.
Inexpensive and good.
Go for the food, not the décor. Teriyaki chicken combo plate with udon soup is a ton of food if you are super hungry. The tempura udon is awesome. Lots of other good food… sushi rolls, ramens etc. The menus are a bit confusing, there’s a couple of them as well as a few signboard menus for the many items they have, but the owner is super nice and will help find or explain things to newbies, as well as accomodate special requests.
Go if you want good japanese at a great price, not fancy atmosphere.
Owner is infectiously happy and nice.
Sushi Time is on our regular dining rotation.

I had never expected this place is owned by Japanese people.
We had teriyaki Chicken with udon combo for $ 8.50 including salad, mac salad, soup, rice and soda, Ankake yakisoba (fried noodle with gravy on the top), calamari salad, and white fish bowl.
All were delicious and cheap!
This is our favorite place now.
This place is not fancy. Very casual To-​Go place with seating available.
Personally we really like Ankake Yakisoba!

As soon as I walked in the owner (I’m presuming) was super friendly and immediately took my order. I had never been there before but I love baked rolls so I asked him if he had any baked rolls. He listed out the baked roll options and I went with a classic baked California roll. It was only 6.75 including tax! And it’s pretty delicious for under $ 7 :) I’m definitely planning on going back!
To summarize:
Customer service — excellent!
Price — unbelievable
Taste — satisfying :)
I will add however, don’t expect a fancy restaurant type of sushi. But don’t worry, the flavor is not lacking in any way!

I love this place. Not too many places in Orange County where I can get a meal and a drink for under $ 10. My favorite thing to get is the Chicken Katsu plate. I get miso soup, chicken katsu, macaroni salad, salad, and rice for about $ 6.40. This place is awesome.

Tempura udon is awesome, be careful not to burn your tongue — they serve it piping! One suggestion, serve the tempura shrimp and veggies on the side. They get soggy perched in the soup. This place is great… consistent and cheap.

I love this place. It’s a total hole in the wall. But every time I come the people here are so kind and the food is good.
It’s not a five star level rating as in the expectation of an expensive restaurant. But it’s five stars in kindness, deliciousness, as in a home cooked bento box. If you know what that means, you’ll know what I mean. Either way, it’s enjoyable.

This place was really good! I have been searching for a place in south OC with udon noodles. We actually came here by accident. The place we were originally going to go to was closed on Mondays. My husband found this since it was somewhat nearby.
It’s definitely a hole in the wall place. Very outdated and beat up but it’s actually clean inside. The guy (owner?) was really nice and friendly. We ordered the chicken udon and beef udon. It definitely hit the spot. It was so good that even though I knew it was burning hot I couldn’t wait to eat more or slurp the soup.
The gyoza was good too, just wish it was on the crispier side. Too bad this place is about 20min away. We will definitely be coming back and trying more dishes.
Prices were really good too. About $ 5 each bowl.

I’ve come here a few times. Always a smiling face taking my order. The bowls are my favorite here. Low priced but packed with deliciousness! I highly recommend the spicy meatball bowl. I don’t know how he crammed so much into that bowl but I wasn’t complaining. Do I recommend this place?

Love this little mom and pop shop serving great Japanese food. The ladies up front are always so nice and friendly. There’s usually a long lunch line so try to get there before 12pm. They are very quick with getting food out and the portions are way more than you okay for. The cool thing is they have rising weekly specials where certain menu items at 20% of, so that’s how I usually choose what eat that day. I’m here at least once a week now haha.
Great tempura, good quality sushi for what you pay, great meal plates.
