Rude people, and poor customer service. Didn’t honor the voucher that we bought from Groupon, claiming do not know what Groupon is, and marked it ‘Redeemed’ on my phone. Arguing for half an hour for nothing, till my 3 kids became anxious.

So this subway is pretty typical. This is not my first time to this location, but today’s visit prompted me to write a review… My «sandwich artist» was Rodrigo and he is totally cool and did a great job and very friendly. However, his co-worker who is this zit faced 19 year old thought he was totally cool and kept on getting into my business. He kept asking me what sandwich I was getting and kept critiquing my toppings. Then he was saying«don’t you wish you were as young as me and can eat whatever you want?» Who says that??? What a jackass, let’s see where life takes you with your negative attitude. Ownership should really take note of your staff and get rid of those who undermine your business and negatively affect your bottom line. Report Card: Rodrigo– A Zit faced kid– D– Jose(manager) — C(wasn’t here this time but dealt with him before)

Typical Subway… Same as all the rest. No problems, complaints or compliments.

This has got to be the WORST Subway! I went there this morning for a ham sub on white bread and it was awful. The bread was hard on top and the lettuce and tomato were old. The tomatoes were torn apart and were drying out. The lettuce was turning brown and tasted old. I asked for extra onion and the onions were so not fresh. They hardly had any onion flavor because yep you guessed it they were old! Come on Subway. You can do better than this. The Subway across the street in Walmart is 100 times better and fresher than this Subway. I will never go to this particular one again. I have given them several chances to get better.

Guys and gals working there now are FAST and FRIENDLY! I’ve been going to this Subway forever. I live up the street. I highly recommend the new California Subway iPhone APP. The crew is on it.

Subway — Home of the Bread Sandwiches™(actually, that’s my new slogan for Subway) I am normally a harsh critic of chain restaurants because of the extreme measures the employ to save money. Subway is one of those places. Every once in awhile I run into a good Subway, where the staff is courteous and the sandwiches are made well. The Subway on Portola in Foothill Ranch isn’t one of those. Let’s start with the fact that the employees rushed me through the line, even though no-one was behind me. I thought this was terribly rude. If there was a line, I would somewhat understand, but even then I feel the employees shouldn’t rush people. The young lady that served me today didn’t make eye contact, and although she made an effort to *sound* nice, she came across as robotic and unconcerned. She quickly sliced opened my bread and proceeded to place 4 very meager scoops of tuna on a footlong sandwich. The holding container for the tuna was completely fully, yet this young lady felt compelled to give the smallest serving possible. When she finally spread the tuna, it was paper thin. Did I mention I am a stickler for value? Yeah, well, I didn’t get it here. The tuna was so minimal that I literally had a bread sandwich on the last few bites of each end of the sandwich. This is unacceptable. I’ve been to Subways where the give you a proper amount and you get a good sandwich. Why employees feel so compelled to be cheap is beyond me. They lose no skin in this game — in fact, they have much to gain by making me happy. I’ll return, maybe bring a few co-workers. But not with this Subway. They’d rather save $ 0.15 instead of offering a good sandwich. Anyhow, this location should be avoided if you care about service and value. The owners need to wake-up and realize that the key to success is pleasing the customer. There is far too much competition around them to offer an inferior experience. There’s a Togo’s on Marguerite a couple of miles down the right — they know how to make sandwiches and they treat the customer with the utmost respect, even waiting for the money to be transacted before calling another customer. Subway could learn a thing or two from Togos.

Tried the Subway breakfast special for the 1st time this morning. The egg was pre cooked and I was not quite sure how that would taste. I was pleasantly surprised! It was not rubbery, rather fluffy and soft unlike Mc Donald’s Egg Mc Muffin. Oh and let me add, this breakfast sandwich was not greasy either. It tasted like a healthy breakfast treat! I had the breakfast egg muffin with forest black ham, pepper jack, tomato and spicy mustard. Oh and yes I requested all ingredients to be baked together. It gives it a special warm early morning flavor. At 6:45 in the morning it hit you just right! But that’s not all! It comes with a 16oz cup of coffee. Seattle’s Best is the brand. All for $ 2.72 tax included. Not to shabby!

We waited in line for a LOOOONG time on a Sunday afternoon. Like 15 minutes. There was this family that ordered a footlong and was trying to have them cut it into thirds for them. Geeze, just order another 6 inch, you crazy people. I had my oven roasted chicken breast footlong which is like the best deal ever, and enjoyed every bite of it.

Meatball sub on wheat, substitute swiss with epperjack and extra sauce. That’s all you need. Good location with speedy service.
