Came in alone as im not local and needed just a quick lunch. Seafood is my first choice for food. So what i had was… 2stars — peel n eat shrimp… amount was ok for appetizer, it did have some flavor but it felt mushy, when peeling they were breaking and just little soft. 5stars — fish tacos, got them blackened, tasted awesome, loved them. Slaw as a side was ok, beans i didnt touch(not a fan of them) 4stars — beer, $ 1 drafts happy hour, mugs were small, beer was cold, head(foam) little too big(used to bartend for 6 years) 4stars for a server, did take little long between getting first order after drinks and paying the bill but she was nice and helpfull. 0star for management. Im sorry but my family owns 2 food businesses, i do love to review other food establishments and i love to give a good rating, not this time, i always do a fair rating. Reasoning for management getting 0stars. I was the only person by your bar area, i wasnt dressed the best, just off work stopped by for quick bite. How do you guys think it is ok to sit by the bar next to the customer eat your lunch, sit on the phone, bother other servers showing pictures asking them to get you more food from the kitchen. Customers see that and it does not look good. Get your break area where you have your rest and food without customers seeing you or sitting next to them. This is just not right, its not mcdonalds, i hope your shrimp was better then mine.

They served some nasty oysters — half barely had anything in them. Then one tasted really bad … I hope I don’t get sick. Owner told me they were fine and it was a fresh batch. They clearly don’t give a crap. The other food was ok – if you like, say, bland boring food. Not sure why this place is so popular.

The Shrimp Shack is a great place. They have a large menu that has a little something for everyone — even the non-seafood lover. The food is always HOT, FRESH and FAST. I was excited to see that Steve was my server this evening as he has been many other times — he’s very attentive, personable and professional. The desserts are all homemade and awesome! Tonight I had the pumpkin cheesecake — it was unbelievable! Looking forward to my next visit.

Just ate at the Shrimp Shack for the first time. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. Our server was Ashley and she was very, very friendly. Ashley gave us some good recommendations as choices for dinner and she was right. Good and service was good. We will go back.

The food was fantastic… my first time here. The Boom Boom shrimp appetizer and the chipotle shrimp dinner was just the right amount of spicy. The only thing better than the food was our server Candice W. She was genuinely friendly and very attentive, which only added to this great experience. The only thing I would like to see is an expanded tap beer menu to include some of the local breweries.

I like coming here for lunch during the work week. I never have bad service and have always enjoyed everything I have had here. The coconut shrimp are very good and I love the tangy sauce it comes with. The salads and key lime pie are good as well.

Food is good if sometimes a little greasy. Plan to wait for a table during«Season» but the food is worth it.

Not sure how people can give this place 5 stars let alone even 3. Food is very average. Lots of fried food that is greasy. We were there on a very slow day. Sat at the bar in the middle of the room. Enjoyed that but service was still bad. And I think there were only 3 other parties of 2 in the place. Drinks were so so. Won’t be back.

After reading reviews my husband and I decided to go to the shrimp shack. I should have known to turn around when no one was on the parking lot at 7pm. The only good part was the nice gentleman who sat us. The waitress was awful. She was rude and her just alone made me want to go elsewhere. The food was VERY sub par. Had to salt and pepper each item. There was no seasoning. We ordered 70 dollars worth of food and the only thing that was ok was the shrimp scampi. How do you mess up crab legs? They were over cooked and had no taste. At the end they showed us a piece of cake and we said we would take one. It was the worst cake we have ever had! This place is a pathetic excuse for seafood. I sincerely regret leaving a tip for the awful waitress. She didn’t even bring over any of our food and the host got us our drinks. Stay away from this place if you’re looking for an enjoyable meal!

Shrimp and tarter sauce were very good. I had blackened grouper sandwich the first one was raw the second was not fresh and tasted terrible. The grilled chicken on the salad was tough, can flavorless green beans.

The salmon was great. The seasoning was delicious. I’ve tried Salmon in Alaska too and the quality is definitely better when you by the ocean or sea.

Worst service ever. I travel for work and eat out every night. I asked the bartender what was good and she couldn’t direct me to any entrees. She never told me the specials and took 15 minutes before taking my drink order. There are far too many restaurants to eat at a place where the service sucks and the food is mediocre.

While the fried shrimp are good(I mean really… Who can screw up frying frozen shrimp?), much of the sides and baked menu items have an institutionalized taste about them. I got broiled scallops there once and it was so bland, I’d swear it was hospital food. If you are in the mood for a fried shrimp and french fry basket, this is the place to go. Other fried items might taste on par. I would stay away from the broiled or baked dishes based on my experience.

If you want to eat shrimps, this is clearly a good place. They have several options, and I appreciated is not the usual«fried menu» I find in most of seafood restaurant in the area, besides fried you can choose your shrimps blackened or with some sauce. Shrimps are big and taste very fresh. Besides that, the sides are a bit small and not very elaborated, but I had a chance to try hush puppies and gravy, and the price of dishes is very fair. Don´t choose the yellow rice, it‘s dry and tastes like steamed packaged rice.

Came in late after visiting our neighbor at the hospital just around the corner. Had the place to ourselves. Great service and excellent food. The coconut shrimp, the calamari, and the fried shrimp dinners were all cooked to perfection. The New England clam chowder was full of clams, few potatoes, very tasty but not as buttery and creamy as I prefer. We were so stuffed that we ordered the deserts to go — for a midnight snack. The wife ate hers at 11:30 but I was still too full. Full, creamy, rich with just a touch of the characteristic tartness of the key lime her pie rated a full 9 out of 10. I’ll check with the neighbor about her German chocolate cake and report on my caramel cheese cake when I can. We’ll definitely be back.

First time eating here, and the food was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match. Our waitress didn’t seem to know anything about the dishes we had asked about. In particular, the shrimp po boy; my wife has to be carful about certain spices and when we asked about it, the waitress plainly said«no idea, I’ve never even tried it.» When our food was brought out, I guess she took the liberty of telling the cook to hold the sauce entirely on both of our sandwiches. I personally would have liked to try it, but I don’t like to complain. Not much for table service, nearly asking us to bus our own table. Good food, but I’d probably just get it to go next time.

Only went here because my mother was craving shrimp and this was clearly a place where we could find shrimp for lunch. The prices are reasonable but the food is something you’d find in the canned or frozen section of the grocery store. Little to no seasoning and minimal skill required to prepare. Service itself was fine; the wait staff was genial and always happy to help. Don’t see myself eating here again since there are so many other amazing restaurants within a 5 mile radius.

It’s great to find a place that NEVER overcooks the fish! Meals and deals here are simple and good. It’s great quality and excellent value. The only reason it’s not 5 Stars is because they don’t have a full bar, but they do have limited beer and wine. Quick tip: if you go during senior hours 4−6PM they have daily specials for $ 8.99 and $ 9.99 that are full meals and about $ 3 – 4 less. It’s worth it if you don’t mind eating with the old people and dodging the walkers and such. We got there about 5:30 one night and it was fine. Fish tacos(2 or 3) were perfect. Good portion size and delicious. Partner got All You Can Eat fish and had two portions. Again, cooked to perfection and excellent quality fish. Nice dessert selection and good service. I could find nothing amiss here and it will stay on the«regular» list!

I wanted to love it but the food wasn’t made from love. Canned green beans were mush. I don’t understand why a restaurant would serve canned anything. I can open a can in my own kitchen. I asked our server how the crab salad was and she told me she could ask a customer who she just served if they like it. Fail! So I ordered the broiled seafood platter with shrimp, scallops and crabmeat and again, nothing tasted fresh. Freshly frozen maybe but not fresh. I’m guessing the great reviews are from those that ordered fried shrimp. Not high on my list of must haves so on to the next. The area is in great need of better options!
