I love Rubios food but this location has some major issues. They can’t seem to get orders correct. When they delivered my food, I immediately told the server that my order was wrong. So she took it back then 5 minutes later brought me out a new plate, set it down with our saying anything and rushed off. To my surprise my order was wrong again, so I brought my plate back up to the counter. The lady rolled her eyes at me and said, well I didn’t take your order. As if it was my fault or someone else’s. She threw the plate on the counter behind her and went back to her register. The order came out again and guess what it was wrong again. I wasn’t about to go back up. So I just ate it as is. I’m not sure why this place does this, but the customer service was no good, no manager came over to say sorry or make sure they got it right. Looks like this may be my last time visiting here. There are enough great taco places around to keep my stomach full. If you are going to go to a Rubios go to the one in Costa Mesa, Managment is fantastic there. As we were leaving our kids wanted a churro, we ordered it and 17 minutes later we received, but only after we went back up to the counter and asked if they forgot about our churro. Wow!

I went to this location to redeem a birthday voucher for a friend. he sent me a screen shot of the voucher because I was headed to him anyway. the manager there, whose name is Juan I believe, gave me a hard time because it was a screenshot. he then began to speak Spanish to his staff and I could tell it was about me because they then looked my way. that was inappropriate because nothing we had going on had anything to do with the cooks and the people cleaning. so I said why won’t you accept it, he said because it’s not yours and it’s a screenshot, I need the actual coupon. which is a lie, because I have redeemed vouchers for myself and daughter with a screen shot. I feel as if he was rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate. he didn’t seem to care that I drove all this way to get the food and basically told me it was my problem. needless to say, I will NEVER be going to this location again!.. customer service is lacking tremendously here. or maybe it was because I was not Hispanic. not sure…

I love rubio’s! I got a free meal on my bday and when they did the grand re-opening! The folks are friendly and their food is delicious. Seriously, we take out here 3 – 4 times a month. I couldn’t believe though that they do not have a fried fish burrito on their menu, but they can make one, it just tastes madeup meaning, it’s not awesome. What is awesome & delicious are their shrimp burritos and new coastal trio(fish tacos 3 different ways). they have a new club you can join too, which is how you obtain the free stuff, plus get emails on what’s new. They change up their menu here and there which is great and looks like they use all natural chicken in all their dishes now — good job being responsible Rubios!

I usually really love this location but I’m somewhat disappointed tonight. I ordered the Chipotle Ranch Salad. It’s supposed to come with guacamole, salsa fresca, a cilantro/onion mix, tortilla strips, butter spring lettuce mix and a smoky chipotle ranch dressing. I asked for no meat and no guacamole. All I got was lettuce and salsa. Also asked for extra dressing and never got it. My daughter got a Bean and Cheese Burrito and it was poorly wrapped. It was open on both ends so everything fell out as soon as she picked it up to eat it.

My wife has gone in multiple times to this location because she has restricted break times during work hours. They rarely get the order right, there is always an issue with the order. The issue is always brought up to the management but the employees still mess up the order all the time. It’s as if they truly do not care about the customer experience. What a shame!

For a «fast casual» type of restaurant Rubio’s has really stood the test of time in my opinion. They started in San Diego in the mid 80’s and became popular in the 90’s. I’ve found myself going there more frequently in the last year and usually have a pleasant experience and very tasty food! Last week this location underwent a small renovation and I think it looks a lot nicer inside. There is a large community table in the center with 6 stools on each side that sits up higher than the rest of the tables. Then there are several 2 and 4 tops and a cool demi-booth at the farthest end with seating for 8 or so. Overall it looks brighter and it looked nice enough that I actually ate my lunch at the restaurant for the first time. Pretty much everything I’ve had has been really good but my favorite thing to order is the shrimp and bacon burrito. There are chips are light and crisp and their sauces are also very good except I’m not a fan of the green cilantro sauce but I love the most spicy smoky red one. It’s normally all the way to the right in the sauce area. I’m pretty sure those aren’t the official names of their sauces. :P The staff at this location has always been especially friendly and helpful, which is something that is at times lacking at these types of restaurants. I almost wanted to tip them… haha I said almost! A few weeks ago they made me the wrong burrito and I had eaten a third of it before I even realized it because it was so darn good but they quickly made the right one and they let me take the other one home to eat later.

Haven’t eaten at Rubios in over a year. We drove by here and noticed their new logo so we wanted to give it a try. Food was delicious and restaurant look fantastic!

Food is pretty tasty, and the fish tacos are only $ 1.50 after 2:30pm on Taco Tuesday. Unfortunately, it only takes one bad experience to sour your opinion of an establishment — well, at least for a while. The manager took my order and overcharged me on Taco Tuesday and got another one of my orders wrong. The MANAGER! Wtf? And he seemed a little pissed taking our orders because we had a birthday reward free entrée(sign up for Beach club email for this). Thanks for giving me attitude on my birthday, overcharging me on Taco Tuesday fish tacos, and getting the free entrée I ordered wrong(which was correct on the receipt).

So so bad. The meat was dry, probably had been sitting there all day. My shrimp burrito was luke warm. Literally just left.

The restaurant is ran poorly. Also I ordered a chicken burrito and got a rice burrito with two small pieces of chicken in it. Again poorly ran and not much thought in providing good food. Rubies is usually great food just don’t bother with this location!

Nothing much to say here except Taco Tuesday! Go here. or any Rubio’s on a Tuesday and you will understand. Prices are cheap and the taste is great. Didn’t have any issues here. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, and employees were nice.

I have been to many gourmet and fancy Mexican restaurants in NYC, as well as many little taco stands, but nothing comes close to Rubio’s blackened tilapia taco, in both flavor and price. With sustainable fishing practice, I don’t feel so guilty about eating 5 tacos down every time I stop by! The spicy sauce is the best part. When I go visit California, I eat at Rubio’s almost everyday.

I will never go to another Rubios again. Despite multiple bad experiences at a different location, I decided to give the one in Fountain Valley a try. I ordered a 9 dollar shrimp burrito to go to. I get home and find that there is not one single shrimp in the burrito!!! I didn’t even bother complaining because like I said I’m never going back.

Super stingy with their serving sizes. $ 10 burrito should be able to fill someone up…

Use to be the place to be, and i haven’t been here in years. My family doesn’t eat out much, so we choose rubios. I remember them for their huge fish tacos. Now they are very small sized. While my brother got the burrito he ordered a couple years ago. it was half of the size he remembers. Also hanging at the same price. Not going to return. Smaller portions for crazy prices.

Had a bad experience at this location last Saturday. Made a formal complaint on Rubios official site, waited a week for them to make it right. Never heard anything back from corporate or the district manager. Basically was told I had to wait 20 minutes to order, this is after waiting 5 minutes in line. No reason given except they were down a cook. I’ve never heard of a restraunt not taking the order. It’s called setting proper expectations with your customers

Hooked on the balsamic and roasted veggie salad. You have to double check for the veggies. They frequently forget them at THIS location. Otherwise awesome!

I absolutely adore their carnitas street tacos. At about $ 1.50/taco, it can add up pretty quickly… especially if you eat 6 of these tacos in one sitting. The green tomato salsa is super yummy, as is the chipotle salsas. Try them both out!
