This was my first visit with friends. I can say we were all pleasantly suprised with the food and the service! I even asked for drinks that were not on the menu and they obliged. We will be visiting them again sooner that later! Find this gem in Frankfort for a great meal.

Nice place to try bourbon; they offer several flights but they are quite expensive. The burrata is almost the size of a main course so be careful what you order if you’re not that hungry. Our server was super friendly: hospitality 5+ stars! Food was good but a little bit overpriced so therefore only four stars.

Was decent, not knock your socks off. They were kind enough to do a split of a meal which was really nice. Service was very friendly. Prices seem a little high for what you are getting.

My wife and I were passing thru on our way to Illinois from Florida and stopped for dinner at this cute and authentic Italian eatery. The service was outstanding, and the food was very good. My wife had linguini and I had lasagna. We both enjoyed them very much.

Amazing new menu! Everything was top notch from White Russian to the bison meatloaf. Atmosphere is unique and welcoming. Every one at the table loved every bite on their plate. Can’t wait to come back. Salted caramel cheesecake… oh my!

Great salad but they were out of the special early. Cod with risotto that sounds like a total winner but I didn’t get any. Maybe next time. Not a kids place but decent house wines and good bar area to watch the races. We will be back.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Come on Friday night and there’s music on St. Clair Street. The lasagna is excellent and it’s big enough for two people. The butter for the bread is fantastic. We’re looking forward to coming back already.

The cuisine at Serafini’s is exceptional, fresh and full of flavor! The Fried White Fish was fresh and delicious including the lettuce and tomato and egg bun that was nicely toasted. The Pimento Cheese Burger with the fried pickles was a bit naughty since it encompassed components of foods many of us are avoiding, but was so amazing! I’ll be thinking about this burger tonight! Serafini’s is worth the drive if you don’t live in the area.

Dear Serafini, First of all, thank you for existing in Frankfort! Without your fine establishment, my husband and I would have to drive back to Louisville or further up the highway to Midway for such high quality food. I cannot rave enough for your Risotto del Giorno. As such, I must confess I’m one of those patrons personifying Sally(Meg Ryan) with each bite. Prior to trying the risotto, I had ordered everything on your seasonal menus that were GF or could be made GF, but since this dish is always different(and gluten free) I’m hard pressed to go back to the Salmon, pork chops, etc. Stay classy! Sincerely, K As for the rest of my review, Serafini is perfectly situated directly across from the state government buildings in what is referred to as St. Clair Mall. Their corner location allows for outside dining during the warmer months. Downtown Frankfort seems very dog friendly and at Serafini your four legged friends will be greeted with bowls of water(to include ice-HA!). Serafini also has a sister restaurant, Portofino, in Lexington. We have become quite acquainted with some of Serafini’s wait staff. The friendlier and more down to Earth you are, the more comfortable they are in return but nonetheless you will receive GREAT service. Lastly, you know when you stumble upon something great and you want to share it with your friends!!! Well, sometimes I’m a bit delayed in sharing with the Unilocal community but that’s probably because I’m roping in others for a visit. Over the past year we have toasted with many loved ones celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, new job opportunities, a proverbial ‘bun in the oven’ and even started a Christmas Eve tradition. Need more reasons to visit Serafini? How about celebrating the beginning of a long work week and/or the end of a long work week! You don’t have to ‘get all gussied up’ — Casual attire is also welcomed. No matter the reason, you’ll be greeted with a smile and find yourself full of delicious food and drink in no time… but do take your time. You won’t regret your Serafini experience! By the way, that diner scene from ‘When Harry Met Sally’ was related to food, right? Right? ;)

As Oprah said, «You don’t have a man, you need spaghetti» and Serafini’s spaghetti is excellent! I love the meat sauce but they have other options. Get it you love it! However, if that is not your thing than get the«Pork loin» you will thank me for that later. Oh, the drink choice is an Old fashion with Knob Creek as the bourbon. Tip– the 3 table to right as you coming into the restaurant is right over the heat vent. So it gets super warm!

Last night we had a wonderful meal. A special that night was the risotto with grouper. Great choice. Everyone at my table was pleased with their food. We met the chef~nice guy who is willing to accommodate for the needs of his patrons.

Lunch was great! Chicken dish with root veggies was tender and flavorful. Pork over mashed potatoes was a sizable piece of pork and very tender. CA wine($ 6) glass was tasty. Overall, I would return!

Why do I keep giving them another chance? Seriously Serafini! I live here in Frankfort and I go here once a year to see if you have changed, and I still have the SAME thoughts. Overpriced food, I get better service and attention from the gas station attendant, and our waitress practically ignored us for the first 10 minutes. People from out of town and visiting Frankfort Ky: I’m just sorry about this place. What an embarrassment!!! If anyone thinks this is fine dining and are willing to pay $ 35.00 a plate for a steak you can get at your local Applebee’s, you are out of your minds. Don’t be fooled! We got chocolate cake desert and it tasted old and dry, and something you can buy on discount at SAMs Club. I have had WAY better cake at Big Boy restaurant. The wine was good, and bourbon selection is top notch. But that’s easy to do. You don’t make the liquor. Someone please buy this place and fix it! What a waste of space on our beautiful Main Street.

Been here a couple of times and it is consistent. From appetizers to the dinner. I could easily share my portions. I ate at the bar both times and was treated well by the bartender. I must admit, for a small town, it caught me off guard how expensive it was. I’ll still go back.

Updated review– Ordered the French onion burger for lunch and it came out med rare. After taking a bite then cutting it in half, I sent it back. The same patty was returned 15 mins later blackened and on a new bun. Yes, the missing bite was still missing. When asked about half eaten food being re-fired all they could say was«I don’t cook the food, I just serve it». Absolutely horrible service and mediocre food.

Best lasagna ever! Everything else I’ve had here is good, but the lasagna is out off this world! Even better the next day.

Not sure what I can say that hasn’t been said. We sat outside and asked our waitress what varietal was in a certain wine because we couldn’t remember(they have several different kinds). She asked us if it would say it on the bottle. It might but why are you asking us? She returned saying she couldn’t find out. Really? Because while you were inside not finding it out, we googled it. The funniest thing though was the mom and her children who sat in the restaurant’s table right next to us with their McDonald’s food as though this was the public park. The restaurant didn’t say a word to them. They ate and then left leaving the table dirty. My BF’s halibut and risotto was delicious and my lasagna was good, not great, it’s just lasagna after all. It just seemed like a restaurant trying to be nice and charging accordingly but not having the service and atmosphere to back it up.

While passing thru Frankfort we found this place. The food was good, nothing to brag about. But hit the spot. And they have a great wine selection. The service was great and the gentleman that is the host was very sweet and patient with our daughter. If you eat here, make sure and walk around the area for awhile. Many cute shops and beautiful historic buildings worth visiting.

I had the pork osso buco and my wife the risotto of the day which was fried Atlantic cod. The sauce on mine was pretty good, the meat fell off the bone. It was a good dish, not great. My wife’s risotto was a bit salty, but decent. Both dishes were in the $ 20’s and feel that it was over priced for the quality. I have had better italian at much reduced price elsewhere.

Not super impressed, particularly after I heard from multiple people that this was the best place in Frankfort. The service was great(which is the reason for three stars instead of two) but the food was just«meh». Note, the beer cheese app is served cold. I find this weird. Maybe that’s normal for the region, but I was definitely expecting more of a fondue-type app.
