Bonefish is great! We had a bit of a meltdown and they handled it amazingly. Super kind staff and such good burgeeeeeers. yum.

Went to the bonefish grill tonight. The wait was 45 minutes which is fine but the poor people who had made reservations also had to wait 30 to 45 minutes. People kept approaching the front desk and asking what was the point of making reservations. The entry way only has one small bench for people to sit on it was standing room only and jam packed a complete fire hazard and lots of elderly people standing and waiting. Even saw one elderly gentleman have a shouting match with the management about the wait. Food was just ok I had blacked fish tacos which I had to eat with a fork because the tortilla was soggy and could not be picked up. The highlight of our evening was our server Branson very nice and polite. Would I eat here again probably not

I haven’t even sat down yet, and I am already ticked!!! My hubby wanted to come out to eat so he chooses bonefish grill. We call ahead to see if we can put our name on the list. The woman I spoke to said that you had to physically be there to put your name on the waiting list. And, she also says to me that by the time we get here the line shouldn’t have moved that much. Yes, that sounds a bit backwards to say, but that is what she said. Ok, so I get here with my hubby, and my 3 children(10yrs, 9yrs, &8mo.) And I am told there is a 45 minute wait. However, there have been a few people to come in and said«I had a reservation at …», and were immediately sat. I also overhear the hostess on the phone with another potential customer. And, she explains to them that the earliest reservation time they have is at 830pm. So when she hangs up, I tell her that I was told you have to be physically in the restaurant in order to be put on the waitlist. Now the issue is, that she didn’t bother to explain to me that if I wanted to make a reservation the time that was available. Yes, I said we were on our way. But, she never offered this info up to me. Because, had she done so, I could have made the decision to go to a store in the area to kill time until it was near time for us to be sat. Or, we could have sat in the car instead of standing up near the doorway & hostess stand with my family. And, then when I asked for a mgr, nobody ever went to get one. So let’s see if the General manager reads this complaint! !!! * update to my review, yes this is the same visit, unfortunately!!! They are out of the shrimp pad Thai that I ordered, and then they take forever to bring my husband & children their order. And, as soon as we call a gentleman over assuming he was the mgr, we tell him we are just going to leave, that is when someone not our waiter comes up carrying the food. Just an overall horrible experience!!! Be forewarned, there are other quality restaurants nearby!

Bonefish Grill is solidly good for a chain restaurant, and the Cool Springs location, though hard to see from the main drag, is good too. We are big fans of the Bang Bang Shrimp, which we had during our most recent visit(and every other one, let’s be honest). I was also glad to see more dishes added to the menu over time that weren’t a heavy steak/seafood with sides, like the Spicy Tuna Bowl that I had, or an increased list of shareables on the menu. That said, it’s a pricey place, and it’s hard for me to come here that often given there isn’t a food Happy Hour menu anymore, nor is it open for lunch.(A pity in Cool Springs, given the weekday corporate crowd.) I feel like I enjoy places like J. Alexander’s more, where there’s a bit more variety on the menu for the upscale pricing. But Bonefish Grill never disappoints, and I’ve never had trouble getting a table at this location. So 4 stars it is!

Food was good. Portion size was small. We got our appetizers same time as our entrée! Which should never happen at a restaurant you’re paying $ 50+ to eat at, or any restaurant for that matter. Told the manager we did not want the App anymore since it took 30 minutes and came out with everything, it was all too much. She says«okay well I can box it up for you to take home»? It was clear the fact that we were frustrated was not understood by her. Not the smoothest run place. When something like this happens at MY restaurant, everyone goes out of their way to make it right! Whatever that takes!

Standards have slipped dramatically here. OK first off I’ve been to this primo location dozens of times, my GF and I would always sit at the bar and get first class service and the food was always spectacular. However, we walked into an empty restaurant at 6:00PM last night, well empty except for 2 tables with pre-school kids running around out of their parents control. First time I’ve ever seen children in a Bonefish, its usually packed with an hour wait so maybe everybody’s got holiday fatigue, or maybe our experience has become the norm. Nat’s a Veg, but she makes an exception for the Bang Bang shrimp, they were terrible. They were dry, had no sauce on them, and what little sauce we did find was not the old recipe, in other words there was no Bang, just a mighty thud. We left maybe 8 – 10 behind, and we used to eat 2 whole orders by ourselves. We inquired with the waiter and he said he didn’t know what was going on so I said we cant eat those, and he apologized and walked off. You know its the sauce that has made this one of the most copied recipes in the foodie world, I guess somebody complained online they were too hot. OY! The next egregious issue was the Wedge salad, it came with no bacon, and had enough blue cheese dressing for two bites. We had to request more dressing and within two minutes our entrees were served. What! There was nobody in the place, you think they could manage their timing a little better. I ordered the roughy with crabmeat, that was a mistake. See any crabmeat on this thing? Preparation was solid, a tad overcooked but edible, but the beurre blanc sauce was basically drawn butter, just a runny mess with no flavor. The broccoli was overcooked, and the garlic mashed came right out of a box. No consistency and very little flavor. Maybe I should have doused it with some of that wonderful beurre blanc!(Why is this thing telling me I misspelled broccoli?) Oh yeah, they have finally added some reasonably priced wines by the glass, but the pour is just ridiculous. 4ozs at the most, still overpriced. BTW, other diners were horrified at the behavior of cowboy hat’s two kids, then after he paid the check he stood in the middle of the restaurant berating this one kid to tears. This went on for 10 minutes. Don’t know where the manager was while all this was going on. Never seen anybody here in a friggin cowboy hat either, the guy looked homeless. So I am leaving 3 stars up there as recognition for past excellence, we’ll be back but we’ll be sitting at the bar and the bartender is going to have to hear this story. Sorry dude, them’s the breaks.

One of the perks of moving to Nashville from St Petersburg was that Bone Fish Grill followed. Lovely, warm atmosphere. The food was perfect from the bread to the Calamari and Chilean Bass. Chris was a 10 in the waiter world. Definitely a repeat evening.

This morning I was thinking that it’s sad that most people are only inspired to write a review when they have a bad experience. I realized that I have been neglecting to give Bonefish, Cool Springs the credit that they deserve. Of all the restaurants we frequent, Bonefish is by far the most consistent. I have never had a bad experience there and that is saying a lot since we’ve probably been there 100 times over the years. The service, the atmosphere, the food quality and the people all make this a great place to eat on any day of the week. However, right now they are running the best deal on Tuesdays. There are several options but I order the Salmon with the Lime Tomato Garlic Sauce, Jasmine Rice and Veggies. It doesn’t stop there because for $ 14.90, I also get a salad and dessert! What?! Yep, it’s a really good deal. I want to say thanks for always treating us well to Managing Partner Scott, Hunter, Sara, Pam, Greg, and all the staff at Bonefish. :-)

We were there at happy hour, with specialty martinis at $ 4.50. My plain martini was $ 6.50 – NORMALLY $ 13.00? You’ve got to be kidding!!! Love the food, but don’t order anything that doesn’t have a price on the menu. You will be surprised! We won’t go back.

For some reason I had high expectations. The place was packed on a Wednesday night, which according to the bartender, was unusual. My bartender/server(I ate at the bar) was awesome. He was quick to ask my name and introduced me to the other bar staff. He was also very attentive. The food, however, was not delicious. I ordered the $ 18 salmon and it wasn’t very fresh. I could smell that fishy smell the minute it was set down. For that reason, I give it a 2 star. I like fresh salmon and this was not even close. I would not go back.

I tried trout for the first time and I loved it. The restaurant offered more than one sauce so I tried it with the lemon butter, mango salsa and pesto sauce. It was served with sautéed snap peas and garlic mashed potatoes. It was a delicious light meal.

I absolutely love bonefish grills! I worked at another location in TN and every time I visit this location the food always lets me down. The service is wonderful and they are timely, the managers always pop by, and the staff is always friendly. The entrees are usually over or undercooked and the sides are rarely fresh. The appetizers, drinks, and desserts are the spot on though. I’ll still go back and give them another chance.

Ok service; Conciliatory but unenthusiastic. Food however was wholly unsatisfying. Everything seemed to be oversauced and overseasoned as if they were hiding the fish from our tastebuds. Nothing original here. It’s the PF Chang’s of seafood restaurants.

My third visit. Got there by 4:30pm. By 5pm, the place was filled and there was a line waiting on tables. I ordered the kobe beef burger and fries, friend ordered the lobster bisque, Lily’s chicken and cream brulee. The french fries are no where as good as Five Guys, Riverside Grill or even Bobbie’s Dairy Dip. They are limp and tasteless. Burger was decent. I had bacon added to it. I would maybe order it again, minus the fries. I tasted the lobster bisque and it was really good at first. But as the temperature cooled, it wasn’t all that tasty. Friend enjoyed his chicken and the cream brulee was overly, overly, overly sweet. Overall, this place is mediocre. And ironically, I’ll be returning next week for a dinner party.

This is only the second negative review I have ever posted. Bonefish continues to show mediocrity in their service and food and yesterday’s meal was no exception. The menu looks great and makes you think they know what they are doing but when the food arrives you realize the effort was minimal. I tried the fish and chips because I wanted to know how they compare to others in town. The grease seemed old and bitter and this morning the inside of my mouth is red and raw. We tried the lobster bisque and it was flat and seemed old. How can you make mediocre lobster bisque? The whole experience was a disappointment.

Bonefish is open for lunch now but this is a dinner spot in my heart. Even though it’s a chain, it feels special. They have an awesome wine and drink list and delicious food. When we come on the weekends it is always packed which adds to the atmosphere. They also keep the lights in the dining room low and it feels intimate. We’ve never had a bad meal. I love the salads, bang bang shrimp, and grouper.

Last year, I took my wife to Bonefish for her birthday. She liked it so much, we came back again this year, and as before, it was outstanding! We started with the bacon-wrapped scallops. The bacon imparted a nice flavor to the scallops, which still melted in our mouths. For dinner, she ordered the swordfish special, while I ordered the gulf grouper. We both left convinced that we’d each made the perfect choice. Maybe we’ll have to come back when it’s not her birthday.
