We tried BrickTop’s for the first time earlier this month, and loved the food! Try the crab cakes or flatbread as an appetizer. And the filet was one of the best steaks that I’ve had in a long time. The drinks are excellent, and the sides are perfectly cooked. There was also amazing customer service. Our waitress was very attentive, offering refills whenever needed, and bringing a box for our appetizers as soon as we were finished with them. Even though we showed up pretty close to closing, we never felt like we were in the way. Worth the money, and excellent for a night out!

Went for lunch with a coworker today, and got the fish tacos and coleslaw. Both of which were amazing. The fish tacos came with two tacos, and each had a very generous portion of grilled mahi mahi on them, and just the right amount of garnishments to compliment them without being overwhelming. It was a bit pricey for lunch-$ 15 for two tacos and slaw, but the food quality was incredible, and I will definitely be returning.

Our waitress wasn’t the best honestly. She just seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I found myself paying attention to other editors because ours was so boring. We order our food. I get the baby back ribs with fries and macaroni au gratin and my boyfriend got his cheeseburger well done. The ribs were falling off the bone! Soo good! Tender! Flavor was on point! The cheeseburger was great and the sharp cheddar instead of traditional cheese was a great touch The menu, unfortunately, for such an expensive restaurant, I just thought their would be more variety. I wouldn’t be able to go this place more than 3x a year bc the menu seems to be lacking, especially for the price. I was not too fond of the setting. The lighting was dark, which I would associate with a more quiet setting but because of the open kitchen it was SO loud. I felt like I had to yell The food was great. No doubt. Because of the not too happy waitress, loud surroundings, and lacking menu, I give this restaurant three stars.

I’d like to review the food, but unfortunately, we were not able to have any tonight. I made reservations for three at 7:15. We arrived at exactly 7:15. While I understand that this is a busy time for restaurants, there were at least 4 parties seated before us – one at least who did NOT have reservations. Why even accept reservations if you are not going to honor them before walk ins? I’ll accept the occasional 5 – 10 minute wait after the reservation time, but once you meet the 15 minute mark, it’s ridiculous. The reception staff was cold, unwelcoming and did not even attempt to apologize for the wait.

Went to dinner on Friday night with my wife and was disappointed. Ordered the Sea Bass and my wife had the the Ribeye. For a center cut of steak it was extremely dry and I am not sure it was the right cut. I was given Salmon and not Sea Bass. I sent it back and was given the Sea Bass. This made the whole night difficult to enjoy. The bill made it more of a disappointment.

So I have been to this place twice now for lunch. I think the food is good but the prices are, in my opinion, very expensive. I just don’t care to spend 20 $ for lunch. Not sure it is worth the $$$$ for lunch. Our waiter was not friendly at all. Maybe the establishment thinks that unfriendly wait staff is the way to go.

BrickTop’s is SOGOOD!!! Finally, a relatively expensive restaurant where the food is actually worth the price!!! I’ve about had it with expensive meals in Middle Tennessee that don’t measure up, and there are certainly numerous examples(J. Alexander’s, Jimmy Kelly’s, MORTON’S!!!). But BrickTop’s is worth every penny. There once was a steak sandwich I had in Montana and it was something I have never forgotten. Suffice it to say that the steak sandwich at BrickTop’s blew it out of the water. It’s so tender and delicious I’d probably pay $ 50 for it! I’ve eaten many steak sandwiches across this great land of ours, from the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters, well, not in the water, but at least on the water. And this is my absolute favorite! The tempura shrimp is perfection, crispy and flavorful! The sea bass is of utmost quality, all the chicken dishes are juicy and expertly prepared, and the twice baked potatoes are about the best I’ve ever had(except for my own). BrickTop’s gives you large water glasses and they keep them perpetually full, something we greatly appreciate. The hostesses were polite and helpful, certainly not on «a different plane» or believing they are«higher forms of lie» as Michael C. put it. I’m not sure what he thinks is a great restaurant or what he even meant by those comments. I took my parents here once, both of whom are chefs, both notoriously critical of restaurants(for good reason because NOBODY can cook like they can). But when I took them here, they had absolutely no constructive criticism to give. I was stunned. They raved about it and want to go back! And I cannot blame them.

Has really gone down in quality. The hostesses are on a different plane. Thy are under the belief that they are higher forms of lie than the average Joe. If you’re not sure what that feels like then you will shortly after you ask them for a table. Terrible front of house experience. We sat for 1.5 hrs at the bar waiting for our reservation. Which we were only 15 mins early for. Asked for the manager who was genuinely apologetic but sent out appetizers. While appreciated it was too little too late. Food is WAY over salted. Do not recommend.

I recommend this spot for those looking to luxuriate a bit during their lunch hour. It’s a real classy spot with good food and top notch professional service. There may be more authentic and less expensive places out there, but brick tops is consistently a good choice.

I wanted to like it. The restaurant was nice and the service was okay. Unfortunately, their preparation of the Chillean Sea Bass was below par. After sharing a dynamite roll as an appetizer I was too full to send it back. I was also disappointed that the waitress saw more than half the food left on the plate and didn’t inquire as to whether or not I enjoyed my meal. I didn’t eat a $ 30 meal and she didn’t ask if I wanted a to go box. She purposely avoided the question. I won’t be returning.

Very much comparable to Applebees, TGIFs or Chilis. I expected a lot better when it came to the menu. Highly overpriced for basic sushi rolls, pasta dishes, etc. We did’t even get passed our drinks due to there lack or variety in the menu. The ambiance was more of what attracted us. The servers were friendly. BUT was’t impressed at all.

Tonight was the first time for my family visiting Bricktops, and we were very disappointed. The food was mediocre, the service was poor, and the prices were very high for the service that we received. It was incredibly packed, and the server never came to our table until we tracked her down each time.

My initial visit was for a business lunch. I was impressed by the service and the food(especially the crab cakes and the sauteed kale… nom nom). It really reminds me of J. Alexanders. My second visit — the food was still delicious, but the service had missed the mark a bit. Perhaps it was just a busy Sunday night, but we had long periods of empty water glasses. But, on balance, it is one of my favorite chain restaurants in Nashville(second to J. Alexanders or whatever they’re changing the name to now).

I had a very nice dinner here. The deviled eggs were surprisingly good. The wine selection(for just glass not bottle) was just fine. It has been awhile so I don’t remember what fish I got, but I do remember that it was very good.

Feels a lot like the West End location. We had the artichokes and deviled eggs with bacon for appetizers. Ok, we’re in a rut but they are good and tasted just like their west end restaurant. My family had prime rib and like always it was tasty and cooked perfect. I had the meat loaf and for the price I thought they should have served a larger portion. My side dish was the creamed corn and the cooked spilled the salt shaker into it. I couldn’t eat it because it so salty. It’s really expensive too, in my opinion. But God love them, they were busy. I just knocked off a star because it be five stars you can’t mess up a side dish like that. And one star less for the price/value equation. We will be back. And if I had more time I would have asked for another side dish.

This is a hot spot for business lunches but the bar and lounge beckons you at 5 o’clock. Summertime the lounge is perfect for conversational groups. But even chilly nights like this, it is still accommodating and cozy. The service, ambiance and food are lovely and there are very ni$e wine selections. You’re going to spend $$$ for three people before dessert, with or without appetizers. It is worth it but know before you go.

Just to fix an error. The Franklin location is great. Great food and service. Nashville location on West End. Not as friendly and not accommodating at lunch time. The whole group has to be present to be seated. Sorry for the confusion.

Loved this place for our date night. I had the fish tacos w a twice baked potato(ooooh that potato!) & my husband had the bistro chicken w fries. It was good, nothing knock your socks off stellar though(minus the potato). I give it 5 stars bc everything was perfect to our liking, customer service rocked(that’s rare these days) & the environment is great. We’ll definitely be back.(Server, Daniel, was new but turned out to be a pretty cool dude.)

So I had the lovely benefit of my first restaurant in Franklin being this one! Coming as a large lunch group during peak lunch hour we were served without a noticeable wait between ordering and our food coming out – one dish did come after the others implying that while they value a table receiving the food at the same time they won’t simply let a whole table’s meal wait under a dreadful heating lamp. I ordered one of their daily lunch recommendations, so it may take awhile to resurface on the menu but the Tenderloin flatbread was a delightful mix of bleu cheese savory and tang with properly cooked tenderloin meatiness and caramelized onions to meld the flavors together. Can’t wait to go back and try their other lunch or dinner fare!
