I wanted to write some pithy comment about Pei Wei being the better, little brother of PF Chang, but decided that this location doesn’t deserve pith… well, if you read with a lisp it does. There’s a saying in our house when asked what someone wants for take-out, the answer is, «I can always eat Pei Wei.» This location is a mere 8 minutes away from my house so convenience is pegged out on the meter. The Brentwood location is about 11 minutes away, depending on traffic, so… McEwen Drive wins. Pei Wei has an eclectic menu, with sushi, pad Thai, and Chinese fusion. Pei Wei has the absolute best pork egg roll. I cannot eat there without eating one. If they served breakfast, I’d probably get an egg roll… no kidding. The online ordering is a snap, with the ability to customize just about every thing(although it would be nice to have a text option for customizing, as well as the, «Leave out the snow peas.») Pei Wei is great. This location of Pei Wei… meh. No. I’m giving it a DOUBLE meh. It’s hard to describe the number of times something’s gone wrong with an order and it typically happens at the front, not the kitchen. I’ve gotten someone else’s food as take-out. They’ve left off part of orders. They’ve made the wrong entrée for an order. They’ve assured me I didn’t order at that location… until I showed them my confirmation email, and then have told me my order isn’t in their system, until my food was found on the to-go table. They’ve double charged me for an order. More precisely, they charged me for someone else’s order, then charged me for my order, then couldn’t figure out how to refund the erroneous order. I’ve spoken to the manager. I’ve called the regional manager. Still this location makes an extra effort to consistently get it wrong. It is the antithesis of Burger Kings’s «Have it your way.» At this location, just be happy you get what you ordered and were charged correctly. You know, after reading all of these mistakes, 3 minutes isn’t that much farther. Hopefully those in Brentwood are getting a better experience.

No line Sunday at 1:45 was told we aren’t taking orders for 15 minutes. Wow. Myself and another family said. Bye. Sad. #getyourstufftogether

This Pei Wei location does not live up to the yummy Pei Wei name. Though it is in such a cute area, I won’t be returning here again. The first time I came here, the chicken they gave be was supposed to be «lightly fried». Instead I was presented with a dish that was 75% crispy coating and 25% chicken. When I approached the employee about this, they told me that they ran out of the chicken used in my dish and this was the only option. First off, a famous chain such as Pei Wei shouldn’t be running out of supplies. Especially for their primary dish, the Pei Wei spicy. Second off, if they do run out, they should inform the customer when they are ordering. The second time around, I ordered the large entrée side, and they gave me literally five pieces of chicken. Two negative experiences are enough to keep me from coming back to this location again.

This Pei Wei is unfortunately not a restaurant I would recommend to anyone. As a former Pei Wei employee of a different location, I understand how things should be handled and certain standards. However, this location doesn’t seem to get it. Cold greeting at the order station in front of house, and a back of house worker picking at his nose while working the Wok station and plating people’s orders. To top it all off, my «bowl» of hot and sour soup came in a container and small scoop that I would have never let someone leave with when I worked for the company, as well as a chicken lettuce wrap order with majority of the box filled with garnish. Pei Wei is a great restaurant, but this location just does not make the cut for several reasons.

Love this place! It’s a great value– sort of a hybrid between fast foot and sit-down dining. The prices are very family-friendly. I’m a little surprised by the bad reviews– we’ve been going there for years and have never had a bad experience.

I like Pei Wei in general but this location is very, very bad. The service is slow and poor. I would avoid this location.

I suggest everyone to never eat here. This is literally the worst dining out experience I’ve ever had and if you look online every location has bad reviews I don’t understand how this chain stays open. there was hair in my luke warm food.

Worst Pei Wei location ever. I love Pei Wei and work up the street, so I’ve tried this place several times and every single time it just gets worse and worse. Inconsistent and poorly prepared food, takes forever, and usually only one cashier even during lunch rush. Never going back. Avoid this location at all costs.

I am not sure why we even still bother with this location. Maybe because pei Wei is great and we keep hoping this staff and the quality of this location will step up to the plate. The last 3 times have been the same. 1 out of 4 things ordered is correct. They apparently have forgotten what stock Velvet is. I opened a pei Wei in florida years ago and I know this is trained. The managers at this place try so hard; bless their hearts — it’s ironically a Chinese fire drill each time. As I’m writing this the line is out the door it’s Saturday at 7 pm and there is one cashier on. Poor planning and always poorly staffed here. It’s not my place to worry but it irritates me when the managers keep telling us they are working on their training and quality of food, when the customer service is also key … Not to mention the people next to us are bitching because they have been waiting for a half hour for a sushi roll. And so be it, Tonight same thing as before, the meal was not made correct. The side plates were filthy. I included a pic of one and did tel a food prep. When our corrected meal came out it had a long hair in it so a manager offered to compensate for our unpleasant experience and we left. 3rd times a charm. Going to Brentwood location from here on out.

THISLATESTTRIP: 3 of 5 stars TRIPPRIOR: 5 of 5 stars = 4 stars Latest Pad Thai was saturated with whatever dressing/sauce they use. Hardly any bean sprouts… And I asked to add pea pods which the consistency was super gritty. Service was fast and friendly, and we had to ASKFOR fortune cookies!!! When we got them, there were only two in the bag… Bummed seems like it went downhill over past couple months, sadly.

I love this place. Always excellent food and service. I even called and ordered food from a different Pei Wei without realizing it. I arrived a few minutes before close, and they were so nice and made my food for me very quickly. They even threw in the fresh cookies they had left from the day. Great every time I go.

Service is mediocre as well as the food. The restaurant is never clean when we’ve come before. It’s never been a wow experience. I guess that’s what you get with a chain. This location was pretty slow but what bothered me the most is at least 5 tables un bussed and sat next to dirty tables the entire time.

I’ve used the Take Out service and In-Store dining numerous times. Mostly, I use the Small Plate feature and add a small Edamame for a price under $ 10. My favorite dish is the Kung Pao Chicken tossed with Brown Rice. The bite sized chicken pieces are from the breast and always cooked to a tender inside and crunchy exterior. The soy based sauce very salty, but is balanced by the sweetness of Snow Peas and Carrots. The peanuts in the mix offer up a great crunch and nutty flavor. Sometimes, for a special treat, I’ll order up the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. They are the same wraps served up at PF Chang’s. Take this place for what it’s worth, it’s straight forward American Style Asian inspired food and it’s quick(mostly).

Horrible service. Takes FOREVER to get food. I called in my order 20 mins before I was going to be there and I still had to wait another 20… and my order was wrong. I’m not asking for a whole lot here… I’ve been to many pei weis and I have never had experiences like the ones I’ve had at this location. It will amaze me if this place is still around for another year.

I was visiting my parents and a friend happened to be in town at the same time… long story short, my friend suggested we go here. Food: 2.5 stars. For the price, it wasn’t terrible, and it didn’t give me food poisoning, but I wouldn’t recommend it either. Service: Yikes. 2 stars for sure. Employees seemed friendly enough, but they moved s o s l o w l y. We’re talking slower than molasses.

Lunchtime during a hot day and heard about some new lettuce wraps from my wife. She and her coworkers love these and so I gave them a go. I got the«Korean Steak» wraps and a spring roll. The roll was great but the wraps were lacking and misleading. The«steak» was actually ground beef and there was NOSPICE. Ive never had bland Korean anything. My wife however got the chicken wraps and spring roll and hers was actually not bad. Still bland in my opinion but better. I dont know that I would go back given that I found out that it is a chain and they use a lot of frozen ingredients and nothing is local AND they lack in the flavoring department.

Blah. Food had a weird /funky taste. They were out of spring rolls. And, their fancy soft drink machine was out of most flavors.
