Culver’s

I LOVE their milkshakes (aka Mixers). Chocolate is my favorite but sometimes I will go for strawberry and then you can add in tons of toppings. I haven’t tried any of their hot food but I can definitely vouch for the mixers. And they have a drive thru window so I’ve never actually set food inside but its super convenient.

A word to the wise: Leave any pretensions of being on a diet at the door. With the fried cheese curds, the pork tenderloin, the custard, and so many other delicious choices to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters (aka my 3-​year-​old), you will not leave here hungry. The butterburgers are also quite good, as are the onion rings and fries. I know the price range says under $ 10, but it can be very easy to blow through that number with a float and an extra side. Still, it’s well worth it.

First time at Culvers. Had been to Back Yard Burgers and what a disaster that was. At Culvers was greeted as soon as we stepped in. The counter girl super friendly and helpful. My burger was hot and fresh. Ingredients grade A. Fries hot and crisp. Wife’s fish sandwich was made of real fish, not a McDonald’s processed phish. Plenty of condiments. Place bright and clean. Portions big. Got it all, courtesy, service, great quick food, and a thank you on the way out. A++.

Sad to say but the food here has become pretty inconsistent. We usually come for the frozen custard and about half the time it turns out gritty and grainy and not well mixed. We lived in Wisconsin and never had this happen at any culver’s up there despite countless trips, so there is clearly something wrong going on here. I asked the staff about it and they just said that yes, it happens sometimes and nobody knows why. Will probably start trying the other location in Hendersonville as it’s about the same distance for us. If you go to this one, definitely ask for a sample of the custard before ordering. When it’s right it’s incredible, but when it’s gritty and grainy it’s a sad way to spend your 700 calories.

I used to spend a lot of time in Wisconsin, and I grew addicted to Culver’s in Madison, and butter burgers in general. I was in Nashville for a week recently and almost drove off the road when I saw this store on Mallory Lane.
First off, I don’t get the complaints about this place, I must have eaten here 5 – 6 times while I was visiting, and if anybody has a legitimate complaint, its my veg GF. She got sick of hearing me rave about Culver’s, but its only a few blocks from her apartment, so just shut up and eat your salad honey.
The burgers here are out of sight, perfectly crispy and delicious, with just enough butter to get your attention. I tried a little of everything while I was in town, even a Rueben, and it was likewise up to NY deli standards. And the sweet potato fries, you got to try those, just fantastic. And there’s a reason they slather hamburgers with butter in Wisconsin, cause its the best thing the dairy state produces! So as far as fast food goes, it gets five stars from me every day.
Service: quick, friendly and accurate.
Cleanliness: clean and neat appearance as well as clean bathrooms.
Quality: every order is made fresh, there’s nothing sitting around waiting for you. Piping hot fries burgers etc. Good quality food as well, makes for always a tasty experience.
Value: fair prices for the great quality. Plus they offer text and email coupons.
Great place to grab lunch or dinner. They have a good sized menu as well as awesome frozen custard for dessert. If you haven’t eaten here yet, all I got to say is… What have you been waiting for?

Good food, nice people, and awesome milkshakes! Great place to eat if you have a minute but don’t go through the drive through if you’re in a hurry. Speed is not their strong suit there. Its not their fault but too many options makes people stupid and they are so nice that it’s takes twice as long. Still gave them four stars because the food is better than any other fast food places around here by far.

I still enjoy this location, but the last 3 or 4 times I’ve been here the food has been subpar to where it once was. The staff usually seem frazzled & I’ve seen the same woman with a clipboard yelling at other employees. The burgers usually taste like they’ve been around for a while & the cheese isn’t melted. The concrete mixers always have random pieces of other toppings in, like they mixing blades weren’t cleaned off between uses.
Also, one big issue I have is the restaurant smells like feet. Like the smell of a kids play place, you know the kind where all the kids run around with socks on? Anyway. Maybe the carpets need shampooing? I’m not sure what it is, but it smells like feed.
I used to love this location, I hope they can get things back on track.

I drove through this location last Friday to try some of their famous custard that I had heard about. I bought the smallest cup they sold in vanilla. It was an extremely hot day and I wanted something cold. This custard was tasteless and bland. There were ice chips in it and it was served out the window half melted. I was extremely disappointed and won’t be back.

Best fast food out there period. The quality of their ingredients in very evident ! Burgers are small so get a double at least ! Fries and tea are excellent !

Good Burgers, better than most chain-​burger fast food places. I didn’t try any of the custards so I can’t comment on how good they are but the burgers are good, I’ll be back if I’m in the area.

Drove through here today after reading the good reviews, and I have to say that Culver’s wasn’t as fantastic as I was thinking it was going to be. Don’t get me wrong, the food was still better than your average run of the mill fast food joint, but it didn’t have the wow factor that everyone seemed to be talking about.
I ordered the Butter Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of cheese curds and a sweet tea to drink. My total came to around 9.50, so above average of other fasts food restaurants. The cheese curds were okay, but I didn’t like the ones that were made with mozzarella cheese. That was the item that I specifically went to Culver’s for, hence my disappointment. The burger was pretty good, though I couldn’t finish it from being too full. However, about an hour later I got the worst stomach cramps and was sick for about thirty minutes. Now, I’m still sick as it comes in goes in waves, but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, and blaming it on the fact that maybe my stomach just couldn’t handle something that greasy. Either way, I probably won’t be back given the way my stomach reacted and the high prices.

Clean and nice atmosphere as a hamburger shop, and the dessert is really awesome !

Butter burger. Just let that idea sink in a bit and chew those words over.
For the uninitiated I would compare the burger to Steak n Shake in that the parties are relatively thin and crispy at the edge. But the bun and the toppings are better. In fact, the bun and the toppings are flawless; fresh, crisp and perfectly proportioned.
Welcome to Delicious it says on the bag. This is way better than fast food standard stuff. Way better.
I’ve been to 45 states but not Wisconsin. If I get cheese curds next time can I count that as having visited the state?

This is how a fast food restaurant should be. They have a huge menu so there is something or everyone. I usually get a cheddar burger. They use real cheddar cheese and it is super tasty. Get a side of cheese curds. They are delish. Not in the least bit healthy but so good. And save room for custard. They have sundaes, concrete mixers (like a blizzard), shakes malts and floats. I have had a sundae and a banana split. The toppings are fresh and they aren’t stingy. You want pecans? They don’t put a little sprinkle of ground up nothing they put a good helping of roasted pecan halves. They also have a flavor of the day. The one I have seen are creative and something to try.

I chose Culver’s for something different in 37 067. I got the Atlantic Cod… the fish was very good and «meaty,» but a little too greasy (yes, I know… it is fried). I just didn’t really like fries getting soggy from the fish… I hope this makes sense. With that said, Culvers is consistently delivering good fast food, as I’ve had their burger (very good) and a few other options… I’ll definitely be back.

I know this a fast food type chain but dang it if I didn’t fall in love with their frozen custard. My mom came in from out of town and we decided to hit up Culver’s because it was a friday night and she was hungry right then. We didn’t know what a butter burger was so I looked it up and all it seemed like to me was a burger with a buttered bun. The menu is pretty extensive for a fast food place. They have a little bit for everyone. We stood there for a couple minutes looking over everything. Then, we went up to the register. The guy working the register was so nice and helpful to us. Since it was our first time we were a little lost as to what to order. My mom ordered a single mushroom swiss burger and I ordered a single bacon deluxe. He gave us our number so we sat down at a table and put the number out so they would be able to see it. Typical fast food style, drinks are serve yourself. Then, after about 5 – 10 minutes of waiting our food was brought out to us by a friendly girl.
I was so happy to see how thin the meat was. I like burgers but I am not a fan of a thick patty. This was the perfect size for me. Since it was the perfect size with the right amount of bacon I was able to eat the entire burger. That does not usually happen with me. Also, their fries were crispy but not overly done. They were just right.
They have the flip menu booklets on the tables so you can drool over all the desserts as you are either waiting for your meal or eating your meal. Everything looked so good.
My mom and I knew we wanted to save room for the custard because they were advertising something called a salted caramel pumpkin concrete. I didn’t know it entailed but it sounded wonderful. We figured out that a concrete in Culver’s world is the Blizzard to Dairy Queen. My salted caramel pumpkin concrete puts any dairy queen blizzard to shame. It tasted like eating a freshly made pumpkin pie. It was so good.
Before we left we looked over the menu some more and we saw that they have a cashew caramel sundae. That sounded good as well.
Well, the next night after dinner we were back for that sundae! It did not disappoint. They put a good amount of caramel and cashews on that sundae and the single scoop was just enough for me. I am such a fan.

Yes it’s a fast food joint, no it’s not your typical fast food joint! They are a Wisconsin based chain so make sure you order their cheese curds which are truly authentic being from Wisconsin I should know. Their burgers at actually beef and taste like something you just cooked on your backyard grill. The double butter burger is my favorite. If you have children don’t forget that each kids meal comes with a free ice cream treat so don’t throw your receipt away immediately. Oh and their ice cream is a delight which once again is think just how Wisconsin does it! Next time your in the mood for a great buttery juicy burger you know where to go!

Came here not expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised. It is a typical burger/​chicken place; however, the food does taste much more fresh than other places. Think Five Guys meets Zaxbys.
THe menu is expansive and should have something for everyone, and the shakes and ice cream are as good as any place around Cool Springs. It obviously not a place you are taking a date, but for a quick bite with the kids after the ball games are over, its perfect.
