Tacos are decent, but I wanted a super burrito. Never order it from here unless you want to be disappointed.

Pork tacos are AMAZING. Guys at the counter are laid back and nice. Don’t forget the hot sauce!

this place is very good. me and my wife drop in on Thursday afternoon for quick bite, the truck is quite new, the tacos are delicious, the boss are a couple, they are happy people. I like street food, I appreciate food trucks, they are nice additions to the city-scape. Downside is that, its located in a quite remote area, it’s not reachable by foot.

Not as good as the review said on Unilocal, taco is the only reason I give a star. Quesadillas and the nachos was suck. Not sure why the review was not high on Unilocal, but for sure I will not go there again

This review is only with respect to the burritos, which are not very good. Not sure what happened because I’ve been coming here for awhile and I swear they used to be better. The last few times the burrito has been dry and didn’t taste all that awesome. It’s basically just rice, refried beans and whatever meat you get. They don’t put any salsa in it that I can taste. I guess you have to add it yourself after the fact from the bottles they have outside. Another unfortunate development is they used to have a vat of pickled jalapenos and carrots that you could add to your food, but I haven’t seen it the last couple times I have been. I asked the guy to put in some jalapenos this time and I thought he said he would, but I didn’t see or taste any once I tucked into my burrito. Oh well. Anyways, I’m done with the burritos here, but since I live really close to this place I will come back and give the tacos a try. I believe I had them once awhile back and remember thinking they were pretty tasty. I would usually get tacos anyway, but I don’t always like to eat there at the truck, and let’s face it, tacos don’t travel as well as a burrito.

My girlfriend really loved the pork tacos but I wasn’t really feeling the burrito because it tasted dry. I didn’t spend hella money so that’s cool I guess. 4 tacos + 1 super burrito = 13 $

I have been coming to this place for over 20 years and it’s great! Want proof? It’s good enough where it’s doesn’t have to travel from location to location but rather just sets up shop right in the parking lot until closing time(around dusk). This place is a true local treasure that has been giving food trucks a good name before food trucks had a good name. I always get the same thing the chicken super burrito. It’s gone up in price over the years from $ 4.00 in 1992 to $ 7.50 but you still get the same HUGE burrito! Be sure to grab some salsa and limes in the little cabinet to enjoy with this meal. In addition the tacos here are something to die for.

I have been going to this taco truck for over 15 years. They used to be off Thornton Street by Midas, also in a parking lot. This is the best as tacos can get!!! Their chicharones tacos are to die for… Literally because eating too much of this can give you a heart attack… The perfect combo would be the chicharones with the carne asada taco and then some sour cream. Top it off with their jalapeño and carrot pickles and it’ll be one of your best meals. I’m in the Philippines now and I miss this place so much…

The truck I saw is called OFELIA’S TAQUERIA #1 but with same pictures people posted on Unilocal.Anyway, my friend and I ordered pestor, lengua, beef, and cabeza tacos and we both love them. Pastor, lengua, and cabeza were juicy and not too salty but still with beautiful seasoning; beef was juicy as well but taste was okay and not really surprised me. I found out their cilantro was a little bit too strong for me(at least stronger than other Mexican food I’ve ever tasted) cuz I personally don’t like it. Therefore, my friend and I didn’t see they offered salsa, so perhaps you have to ask them for. Overall, we love this taco truck and it’s pretty near out apt definitely will back again.

YUM! After a disappointing last few stints at Mexican places, I’ve been craving good tacos so badly. I found this truck on Unilocal but was a little confused as to which truck to review. the truck I went to was called Ofelia’s and was on Trimboli Way next to the car wash. Looking at the Unilocal pictures for this truck, I think this is the one(???). Anyway, I ordered the two tacos combo, which came with rice and beans. My carne asada tacos were so small and cute, and very delicious. The meat, seasoning, and onions complemented each other so well. I was pretty hungry so the little serving of beans and rice(maybe 1⁄3 of a cup each?) plus the two tacos filled me up. The meal was also very affordable, at only $ 5. I’d definitely come back again next time I’m craving Mexican food in Fremont.

I was trying to satisfy my post-workout urge for protein and decided to stop by the Esmeralda truck. I seem to recall this truck being here as long as I’ve been in the Bay(2000), but I had never stopped by. I patted my pockets down and sadly discovered I had left my wallet at home. I scraped $ 2.30 out of my change drawer in quarters, nickels and dimes. When I approached the menu, the $ 1.25 taco price meant I would only be able to purchase one. Sheepishly, I asked for a carne asada taco. The counter man stared at me «just one??» I nodded. Five minutes later, he passed me a sad little french fry tray. Inside was a tiny street taco with some stewed carne asada, onions and cilantro. The taco was dripping with grease and salsa. When I picked up the taco, I could tell that the tortilla had been perfectly crisped on the grill. Although I usually like my carne asada with a little bit of char, the lightly browned carne asada had great flavor. Next time, I’ll come back with $ 2.50 and live life large.

Loved the chicarrones(crispy pk skin) tacos. So cheap too. Also loved their beef steak and lengua tacos. Burritos are dry, tacos are much better. Im dissapointed with their shrimp tho, because is super small.

Meh. All right tacos. Burritos aren’t that good. Dry, lumpy, sometimes contains mysterious chunks. I had a terrible two-day stomach cramp/diarrhea experience after eating here. It has now deterred me from most taco trucks. Blegh.

Yes, you must go here if you live in Fremont even if there is a crazy fat lady hovering around asking for money to buy tacos. It may be a little hard to find, but as you are driving south on Thorton, it’ll be in a deserted parking lot on the right. You can’t see the entrance as you’re driving because the view is blocked by two transport trucks adjacent to the entry way. So you might overshoot it and have to u-turn it twice(there’s a median). Tacos are $ 1.25. I get the Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos with everything on it. These are amazing! Trust me, you will scarf these down while ignoring the dripping mess on your hands. It is far better(and cheaper) than what you would get in a restaurant. I would put it on par to the taco stands in Mexico. Fremont is becoming Mexican central and bringing some good food with it. Other people have bought the burrito. If you get the super burrito, you will feed three. It’s over 12″ long and stuffed.(That’s what she said!) Been here multiple times and always has patrons throughout the day. One time, a crazy fat lady kept laughing and yelling expletitives while asking for money to buy tacos. So dodge that. Pro Tip: Grab a few plastic cups on the side and ask them to fill it up with the green sauce. You won’t regret it.

Just stopped by for dinner and they are STILL the best tacos I’ve ever had. In. My. Life. So now you know. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - Received a PM from someone that got lost trying to find this place… It’s located in an empty parking lot inbetween No Credit Check Auto Sales and Morraine. If you’re coming from 880, bust a U at Morraine and hang right. Tada! Heavenly tacos.

I hate to be the Debbie Downer that slips the bad reviews into 4+ star places. Unfortunately, I am just too honest. I went out of my way to get to this truck. I jay-ran across streets and screamed at moving cars in attempt to catch the bus that was half a mile away from where I was(thank you, 251, for your consistent deviation from the listed bus schedule!). There’s not much to rave about this place, but I’m glad they understood my Spanish and didn’t give me onions. The taco with chicharrones was really delicious. I’ve never had anything like it. The burrito wasn’t that good, though. The rice was dry, the refried beans tasted strange, no salsa verde(or at least that I could tell), and it ended up making me feel queasy. It could have been the chicharrones, seeing as how the middle of my burrito was ridiculously greasy, while everything else was dry. I felt sick after awhile(this is the third time I’ve gotten sick from Mexican food), so I googled«Mexican makes you food sick» and found a Facebook group titled«It’s not good mexican food unless it makes you sick.» That made me chuckle to myself, and I joined it I only spent $ 6, so that’s pretty cool. I’m glad I didn’t end up shelling out too much money and have it all go to waste. I might be coming back for some tacos if I’m ever in the area.

So the hubby and I have known about this place for four days, and we have been there three times… the only reason why we missed one day is because it was Thanksgiving… LOL! If you are looking for great, authentic street tacos, this is a must try if you are in this area of Fremont. Biting into these tacos remind me of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. We’ve tried the Pastor, Lengua, Carne Asada and Chicharrones in tacos and quesadilla form. The quesadilla is big enough for my two kids to share. So, I like my heart attack served Mexican style, so l order the chicharrones tacos and sprinkle a little bit of the chicharron on the other stuff, like my lengua and carne asada tacos. I kill it each time. The pickled carrots/jalapenos/onions are fresh too(not limpy and soggy like in some restaurants I know). The hubby is partial to the pastor tacos and chicharrones quesadilla. Come a little bit before lunch, it gets busy. The truck is parked in a large lot so parking is never a problem. There is a good mix in the crowd but there’s lots of Mexicans that come here, so that must tell you something!

As far as taco trucks are concerned… 4 stars just for the chicharrones taco! So bad for you, but so Yummy! Their carnitas tacos were good too… Plus, @ $ 1.25 per taco, you can’t go wrong. Good self-serve salsa and pickled carrots and jalapeño’s. Will be back for more chicharrones after a good workout!

I ordered a burrito de pollo for lunch. I took it back to work, opened up the bag and took out a steaming hot 12INCHES of wrapped foil. Wow! The burrito was huge. 4.75 for a massive portion. I unwrapped the foil, took a bite, and my happines ended right then and there. Sour cream and Mozzarella cheese? EWWW! The refried beans tasted like they were from a can and the burrito didn’t even have pico de gallo. WTF! If I wanted that kind of Mexican food I would have gone to Taco Smell. «Yo Quiero Taco bell» NOT! My tacos were pretty decent though. Lengua was tender and juicy. Al Pastor was pretty good. The salsa de rojo was really good. I will be coming back for the hefty size burrito, but next time I’ll make sure to say no sour cream, no cheese, and plenty of pico de gallo and salsa de rojo.
