When it comes to dining on campus, Fresno State students have many options available to them, but my favorite of all of them has to be the University Resident Dining Hall(RDH). Unlike other departments on campus, this is the only one which is fiscally responsible, makes money, and operates in the black. I know this because I served on the University Dining Advisory Committee every year I was a student on campus and loved coming here to eat. When you are on a budget and strapped for cash there is no other better place to go. For one low price you can fill up on all the food groups in one meal and you can get anything your heart desires. They have a complete selection of drinks, deserts, baked goods, soups and entrees. The build-your-own salad section has many options including various fruits. If you don’t care about your cholesterol and saturated fat intake, then you will love the fried section. The RDH chicken nuggets taste exactly like McDonalds. Then, they also have a cook-to-order section which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner– which is fantastic. «Five-Dollar» Fridays are the best day to come here because you can have all you can eat for less than it costs you to buy a Scantron and pencil at the kennel book store. .and lastly, but certainly not least, the cookies are to die for. So, make sure you stuff a few in your pocket before heading out the door if you can’t fit it in your tummy.
