I called in a take out order at 8pm. They told me it would be ready in 20 min. When I arrived at 8:15 I expected to still wait a few min. I didn’t get my take out food until 8:45. Side note: I didn’t have a crazy large order. Just 3 rolls. Maybe I’m hangry but that’s a ridiculous amount of time to wait on a to go order. I might as well should’ve dined in.

I’ve given this place a shot several times mainly because of the location. The food is consistently just average or below. One person in our party of four finally received their sushi/meal 20 minutes after the rest of us. The baked mussels might be canned. At least I hope so or there is something seriously wrong with them. If I’m looking for sushi, I’ll need to leave the neighborhood.

Not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars. My favorite roll is Green Jacket with regular shrimp instead of shrimp tempura. I’ve ordered take-out and dined here multiple times, and have always had a pleasant experience. :)

This sushi restaurant is right across from where I use to live so it was really convenient for me. I gave this place 3 stars for their delicious sushi, but they lack customer service. The waiter comes to take your order and then comes again to give you your check. I had to flag a waiter down to get some more water. The waiter seemed irritated that I did that. She came by with water, but then overfilled my cup and water was everywhere. She didn’t bother to wipe it down. I had to use my napkins to clean the water. Maybe she had a rough day. If it weren’t for the bad service this place would definitely by a 5 star. If I eat here again sometime in the future, I’m thinking of ordering take-out instead of dining in so that I don’t have to deal with the waitresses.

Roll One For Mi is absolutely amazing! I have been there many times and am finally leaving a review. The service is always great. And the chefs are ridiculously talented. I strongly urge you to just let them surprise you. They never cease to amaze myself and whoever I bring. And the patio in good weather is really worth a try, very relaxing. Awesome Sushi Joint!

This is in our sushi rotation for sure, but not at the top of the list. The quality of fish and rolls are top notch for the region. Chefs are great, some of the best in the area. With that being said, the prices reflect the quality. We would come here a lot more frequently and pay the premium is the service wasn’t so unacceptable. Your best bet is to grab a seat at the bar. We’ve waited half a dozen times for someone to seat us with half the tables open. I don’t think we’ve gotten in and out in less than an hour on a slow night. Often times much longer.

Came here for my son’s birthday. He and his family enjoyed several of the rolls… I’m not sure what all he ordered. One of the rolls he ordered was untraditional, it was rolled in a flour tortilla… I had to try it… it was good. I enjoyed the sashimi; it was fresh, cut well, and tasty! Hubby’s Teriyaki Chicken was cooked well… Tempura was crispy… California Roll… okay. Everything was reasonably tasty. The owner, standing around, making unprofessional(i.e. rude) comments regarding clients and staff… 0 Star!!! May try again… sometime… maybe…

First off this place has great service without being pushy. They were always filling our drinks and making sure we were taken care of. Then there was the food. I wish I took a picture because we got the Boat A. It was perfect for our family of 4 to eat. Tons of fantastic fresh fish and plenty of variety as well. Plus to top it of we got the«roll me one» roll which is basically chefs choice with some direction provided by you the customer. When it arrived it was awesome. Not only was it one of a kind but the huge slices of seriously fresh salmon really impressed. To top the dinner off we had green tea ice cream, of which I’ve never had better. Plus our waitress was extremely kind and gave us mochi on the house! I’m looking forward to my next trip!

So disappointed… This was not my first visit but will be my last. I have frequented this lovely establishment very often and have never just been overlooked. I sat and waited patiently to order and others that were seated long after we were seated were seated and orders taken. It’s too bad I need to find a new sushi restaurant.

First Impressions — Full around 1:00 on a Sunday when my girlfriend and I went. Staff seems friendly and the place was decorated nicely. Food — While eating I found it really hard to find something to complain about! The rainbow roll had the fish going all the way around it, which is very unique. Most places skimp on the fish. The teriyaki beef bento was great. The beef was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the sauce was good, not too«gummy». My girlfriends rocket bowl was gorgeous and she loved it. Spicy, but just the right amount. Final thoughts — I was thoroughly impressed with this place. The only things I can say is the tempura batter could afford to be crispier and the price of a California roll is a bit steep considering its imitation crab. All in all this is a great place to eat sushi and I will definitely be coming back. It’s in my neck of the woods so I think they just earned a regular! Keep up the fantastic work!

Ok ppl. Hands down. .one of the best sushi joints you will eat at. My lady and I have been into sushi since we got together. We are very picky when it comes to food. Bc we both can cook. Anyways. …if you’re down with great cooks, great atmosphere and fun times. .come to this location! It’s clean, great portion size. .come here. The owner Steve greeted u still and sat us personally! It’s always good to know the owner takes care and has the staff’s back!

Seriously, this place is AMAZING! The Sushi Chefs are true artists and create amazing dishes. If you can’t find something on the extensive menu, just have one of the chefs create something for you! Note: If you do something original, snap a picture for the next time you visit just in case the same chefs aren’t working. Wanna take a leap of faith? Try the«Stephanie Roll» made by Daniel or head chef Jer! Made for the woman I love and utterly amazing. Melts in your mouth! Have NEVER been disappointed in anything I have had here. Give it a shot and I am sure their knowledge and the freshness of their fish will keep you coming back as often as I do!

Went on a Tuesday evening. The place was full and the atmosphere was lively. Even though the place was full, we were seated in around 5 minutes. The service was alright. The server was very professional and always checked up on us. The two items I tried were the black widow roll and the Nigiri mix. I mainly had the cooked roll. The black widow roll was supposed to be a cooked roll. The presentation was pretty but the sushi itself tasted very very bland. Everything tasted like rice and crunchy roe. For a cooked roll, I assumed that the temperature of the sushi would be at least above room temperature and it wasn’t. I wasn’t a huge fan. The nigiri mix was beautiful and colorful. Again presentation was nice but the pieces were just ok. It was very very bland. Overall, this place has nice décor and lovely plating but the food was mediocre at best. My search for a good sushi place continues!

This was a hidden gem in northern Fresno for sushi. For my first time here my experience was good one. The fish was fresh and they didnt over kill with rice like sometimes at wassabi. Im planning on coming here again soon. The climax roll, scallop roll and five something roll were delicious and the baked mussels were the best I have had anywhere in fresno, even the edemame was good. I wasnt really a big fan of the orange blossom, idk maybe because we already had so much food we couldnt really enjoy it. Tables were a little to close to one another but other than that a good place for sushi.

Roll one for Mi is a solid sushi spot. The location is easily accessible and do not be fooled by the size when looking at it from the outside, it may not be wide but it is long… and I know there is a joke in there somewhere. When I come here I either order a sashimi plate a nigiri mix or of course their rocket bowl. That rocket bowl is so amazing, I have never seen anything like it before. Maybe I am just an avocado fiends but that menu item is proper. The fish here is fresh and I have never been disappointed with my order. The cuts are also very generous without being too large. Definitely one of my preferred Fresno sushi spots.

Love their sushi and their employees have always been very sweet! The employees go above and beyond! My favorite place to go get sushi and hang out for awhile. Great patio that is never too hot or too cold and comfortable chairs outside. Good happy hour drink specials and decent prices. The Jalapeño bombs are a MUST try!

This Sushi joint has been on my bookmarks for quite awhile now, so I was very excited when my BF took me out to dinner here last week. It is located in a plaza next to Marble Slab Creamery & Papa John’s where there is plenty of parking. We were greeted right away by the Sushi Chefs and were kindly told to sit anywhere we wanted to. The place itself looks pretty clean w/plenty of flat screen TVs, spacious, and the lighting isn’t too bright. We started off with the Monkey Balls appetizer(fried mushroom, cream cheese, and spicy tuna) which was super delish! I usually give my BF the last piece when we order bite size appetizers, but this time I only have him ½ of the last piece because it was that good! Now that I think about it, I shouldn’t have shared my last piece w/him because it was seriously super yummy ;) I opted for the Orange Blossom roll(imitation crab & unagi wrapped in seaweed & fresh salmon). I love this roll usually in all sushi places I go to, and their version did not disappoint. The salmon was slippery & I do love my sushi but I’m not a sushi expert(I’d like to think that it’s fresh when it’s slippery with the chopsticks?!). Either way, it was delicious and I would definitely get that roll again. They have a variety of rolls but when I would read the descriptions of the cooked rolls, it all sounded the same except some didn’t have spicy tuna or it was either tempura shrimp or soft shell crab. Their Shirley Temple drink was good but they substituted a lemon instead of a cherry since they ran out of cherries. Minus 2 stars for waiting for our food forever on a Monday night when it wasn’t even busy & for their sub-par service from the waitresses. I would try this place out again and would definitely come back for their Monkey Balls appetizer.

This place is definitely not bad, but not great either. I tried their Angel Roll(deep fried, crab and spicy tuna), which I thought tasted pretty good. The roll was not too small, but also not too big like most other places. Their house made sauce went really good with it, but I wish they added more. Monkey balls(Deep fried mushroom w/spicy tuna I think?) were really good, and addicting. I’ve tried similar ones at other places, but the ones here were one of the best ones. Orange blossom roll my gf ordered, didn’t seem fresh. The salmon smelled too fishy, and was sticky. Other than that, another reason why I knocked off a couple of stars was due to the prices(Exact, similar rolls that are at another establishment in town, are a buck or two cheaper), and the wait times on a slow night. It took about 20 – 25 mins for our rolls despite us being one of the only ones in at the time.
