I went to this place because of its 4 star review on Unilocal.Unfortunately, I think they’re a bit overrated. I came in here about an hour and a half before closing on a Saturday. I felt a bit weird as I walked in as there were a couple tables full of kids of different ages with no adults around. Not sure if they were family members of the owner or just some random kids. Either way, they all stared at me but said nothing. There was no one at the front to greet me but a man came out of the back about 30 seconds later. The baked goods were all in a glass casing as you walked in. However, there weren’t a lot of choices left — there were empty trays with labels so maybe if I had come earlier I would have seen more but unfortunately, seeing the mostly empty trays made me feel like I was picking from left overs. I chose a german chocolate cupcake, a red velvet cupcake and a peanut butter/chocolate rice krispy treat. The german chocolate cupcake was very moist, had the right amount of sweetness and was overall pretty good. I would have liked more of the coconut part on the cupcake though — I was expecting some of it to be inside the cupcake but there wasn’t. It was basically just a chocolate cupcake with the frosting part being«german» lol. The red velvet was not as good. It was a bit on the dry side. It seemed like it was either slightly overcooked or maybe it was not as fresh. The cream cheese frosting was good though — not too sweet. The rice krispy treat was eaten a day later. It still tasted really fresh and had a nice peanut butter/chocolate balance. of the 3, it was probably my favorite. If I ever came back here, it would probably be for that or to try their other cupcakes/baked goods. But only if I’m close by, it’s definitely not worth driving across town for.

This is an amazing bakery, one of my favorite places for cupcakes in fresno. The cupcakes, frosting, and filling is always fresh and delicious. If you like chocolate the chocolate ganache cupcake is TODIE for. Pricing is about that of any gourmet cupcake location. They aren’t open very late which can be disapponting, but overall a great bakery. Also, for those of you who like crème Brulee, this is the place to go. The owner will torch the crème brûlée when you purchase it –yum! They only got four stars because they aren’t always the friendliest, but the quality is worth overseeing the customer service.

All the cakes and desserts are amazing. Prices are very reasonable $ 3 for all the cupcakes and pies. Also the coffee is to die for. They offer iced and hot in all different types of coffee. Ambience is great there are small tables and board games to play. I will definitely return when I’m in need of an indulgence.

Dessert was so fresh that i didn’t have time to take a picture of it. We tried the REDVELVETCUPCAKE and LEMONBAR. I had cupcakes from Sprinkles and Casey’s Cupcakes but they don’t compare to the cupcakes here. The red velvet is my favorite and the others are just as tasty! $ 3.00 for a good size and pretty cupcake Coffee is tasty. I always leave with a smile!

Chiffonos is truly amazing! We recently had a wedding in which we got all of our desserts and wedding cake from here. We went with a small wedding cake just for us and we had a cupcake for every guest(about 130). We also went with a combination of treats for the dessert bar to include lemon bars, brownies, and rice crispy treats. These desserts were all delicious. Our guests were so impressed and could not stop talking about how good everything was. The rice crispy treats had peanut butter in the middle with chocolate on one side(yum). We had a good selection of cupcakes to include chocolate and also orange creamsicle. I highly recommend!

Let me tell you something Chiffanos owner guy– SCREWYOU. Absolutely ZERO idea what customer service is. My experience today: my wife, baby son and I walked in to inquire about a bday cake for my son’s first bday. I asked the cashier about cakes, she pointed to a book and advised me that they don’t do elaborate cakes bc they use white chocolate vs fondant. Her tone and attitude were very off putting as if we were an inconvenience, but I cast that aside and said we’d take a look at their book as we were open to their suggestions and weren’t particularly set on a look for our superhero themed cake. A bit later she returned with the owner who basically stonewalled us the whole time. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or if he really could care less about our business, but for EVERY comment/suggestion we made he had a rebuttal. «What if we do xyz?» we would inquire, hoping for guidance or a semblance of help. Without missing a beat, we’d be met with a form of no or we can’t. When I pointed out some pretty elaborate cakes from their book and asked how these were made, I received a «that’s a $ 700 cake, I don’t know how much you want to spend» Really, bozo?! Before I could lose my cool, I thanked him(bc I’m a civilized human being) and left. Needless to say, we didn’t buy our cake here. I can only imagine that their ovens are so hot and are radiating so much heat that it’s caused them to become delirious and lose their damn minds. Their behavior and service today was ridiculously appalling. They placed absolutely no effort into making the sale, earning our business, or showing their devotion for their craft. Damn good cupcakes, but I’ll never eat one or step foot in here again.

I’m only rating this place with 3 stars due to poor customer service. I been coming here off and on whenever I crave for some sweets. I really like their desserts, especially their lemon bars and their toffee bars. But unfortunately, their staffs are not very welcoming and friendly. This seem to happen on many of the occasion that I’ve been with verious staffs including the owner on two occasion. For reference, this morning I went there all excited because it was my day to indulge myself to some sweets. I couldn’t wait to just be there for some great cupcakes etc. But the moment I walked in there, sure enough another bad experience where I didn’t feel welcome at all. The server had this look on her face as though she didn’t want to serve me or want me there. Not once did she had a smile on her face towards me. She had this dirty look on her face like she was mad at me. I felt as though I wasn’t being welcome due to whatever reason she had in mind about me. All I knew and felt was that she didn’t want to serve me and her action showed it. Yet she seem to smile and act more welcoming and was friendly to the next customer in line after me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a person to be quick to judge a character. But I’ve worked in the business industry where great customer service is key! No matter who the person is or how they look, you always treat each and every person with equal kindness. I believe highly in having good morals, integrity, respect, equal treatment, kindness, caring etc in life. However you want pple to treat you is how you should treat others regardless race, background and the color of one’s skin. Therefore, to see this type of treatment toward a customer regardless how tasteful your desserts are may just very well steer customers to go elsewhere. Especially when customers feel as though they are not welcome there. This is one of the reasons why I tend to avoid certain eatery places or restaurants that discrimination whether it’s race, gender etc. Places like those don’t deserve customer’s support. Believe me, you’re better off taking your service elsewhere to places that at least appreciate every single one of their customers and don’t discriminate!

This review is for the delicious cupcake i bought for my little son and the dense chocolate birthday cake i ordered. I’ll return back for some delicious treats…

Stopped in search of a birthday cake, and found a small strawberry cake that«filled the bill» perfectly. Iced to resemble a bouquet of blush pink roses, it delighted the birthday girl, and was as delicious as it was lovely. Excellent moist cake that could stand alone, and luscious icing.

IMO, Chiffanos makes the best cupcakes in town. We used to live across the street and it was a problem. :) The cake alone has incredible flavor. That’s what I REALLY like about them. It isn’t too light, it isn’t too dense, and perfectly sweet. I also really like the amount of frosting they use. They’re not these frosting monsters with seven inches of frosting under some little forgotten blip of lifeless cake. Chiffanos uses a decent amount of frosting without going overboard. They’re incredibly flavorful and nicely balanced with great mouthfeel.

Best chocolate cake. The cake is moist and not too sweet. The ganache is rich and sweet. Totally decadent. They made the best birthday cake for my daughter wrapped in chocolate not fondant and looked like a present!

I love this bakery. Their bacon cupcakes are awesome. Their cookies and cream ones are also great. Tried their yellow cupcakes and they were good too. Very moist cakes with just enough frosting that’s not too sweet. That’s just the way we like ‘em.

My friend and cousin ranted and raved about this place. When I went there I understood why. They have good classic flavors like strawberry and vanilla – done well – as well as some untraditional flavors like chai, which was delicious, moist and cute. Even though it’s not too outside of the box, the cookies and cream one tasted great – possibly the best of it’s kind that I had. Not a lot of indoor space but there’s adequate patio space to get your grub on!

Terrible service at this location. Every single time I come by they have crappy attitudes. Which is pretty sucky because I only live right down the street and I love to come hangout in this area. Thinking of never coming to this location again.

Your best bet here are the cakes. What NOT to order. I ordered a box of mixed selection desserts, trying to please a large family gathering. Most received good to excellent reviews, however the rice crispy topped in chocolate was a D —. First of all its a peanut butter crispy with karo syrup and no lie, oil. It tasted just like vegetable oil. This recipe needs to be tweaked a bit. But otherwise, good job.

I live out of town and I stopped by to grab some baked goods for the family member I was visiting. The place is cute and the service was friendly. However, when I got the cupcakes(I bought a mixed dozen) back I was very disappointed. The frosting tastes like it is from the Betty Crocker isle in the grocery store, as did the cake. Whatever subtle flavors were included were completely masked by the overwhelming sweetness. Altogether the cakes I ate reminded me more of a grocery store birthday cake with extra frosting than what I have come to expect from a specialty cupcake shop(especially for the price). We ended up throwing away most of them because no one could eat more than one them, even after taking off the frosting. Very sad. Don’t buy the big box.

This place was ok. Cupcakes look pretty and are packaged up in really nice boxes. Bringing them home to eat is another story. Just my preference but I don’t like super dense frosting piled high on cupcakes. Reminded me of a cupcakery I reviewed in Phoenix which also had cupcake frosting with the consistency of refrigerated shortening. The cake itself was dry but its saving grace was the filling inside which gave it some moisture(I picked a lemon filled cupcake). The chocolate ganache cupcake was okay too. Pretty hard to mess up choco ganache but still couldn’t make up for the dryness of the actual cake. With pricing similar to Sprinkles but subpar quality, I will not be back. They sell last nights pastries for a discounted price so if you’re into bargain pastries come check it out.

It’s ok… Sugar Shack is better for cupcakes The cupcake was $ 3.00 for regular and $ 3.50 for filled. The cake I choose was a bit on the dense and dry side Lots of seating area inside Looks like a nice variety of other items
