Best food. Best service. Pricy– but worth it. BEST cheesecake EVER! The homemade soup– seafood chowder was the best. Steak delicious. Bread delicious. Overall 5 stars.

I would have gave Yosemite 5 stars but the Skirt Stake was well done and I ordered medium rare. It took a while for the waitress to come to us and when she asked me how everything is i old her about the sort stake, she offered to get me a new order but I already ate half of the plate and did not feel right to accept her offer. She then offered us a free desert. I will defiantly will be back.

very very disappointed in this place Got a 20oz steak had no flavor so they switch me out for some ribs and they were frozen cold… but the waiter, Aaron was awesome and tried to help us out.

We have been HUGE fans of Yosemite Ranch that is until recently! The last 3 times we’ve been there my husband has barely been able to eat his steak and leaves MOST of it on his plate when before he would always finish every bite(he usually eats the fat and all). He ALWAYS orders the 20 oz. Nebraska Ribeye and recently it’s been about half of it is nothing but gristle and fat. They have recently raised the price of his steak an additional $ 5 which we wouldn’t care if he could eat it. Also they haven’t been cooking it correctly, we are a family of «well done» meat eaters but since this is such a big steak he usually orders it «med well» when the steak came out I would say it was more of a «medium rare» MAYBE«medium» either way it was way under cooked. Also our service was horrible as we sat for more than 10 minutes with empty drink cups and my husband made reservations for 7:00 pm on a Saturday night and we were not seated until close to 7:30 pm even though we arrived 15 minutes early. I think it’s time for us to «throw in the towel» and go elsewhere. We’ve noticed since Dave opened Westwoods BBQ the quality and service at Yosemite Ranch has slipped considerably, I think he needs to come back and pay a little more attention to this restaurant before he looses all his customers.

Must be popular here, it was really crowded. I was glad we came a bit early, around 430… Otherwise, I expect we may have had to wait! First of all, their complimentary bread is very delicious! We ordered the steak dinner for two(two 10 oz steaks). Comes with artichoke appetizer which comes with a really good dip, chose one salad one soup, for sides chose mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, came with cheesecake for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. Especially the house beans which comes with the steak, it has bacon and I think shallots, it’s so good. We originally had the steak done at medium… At other steakhouses, usually this means it’s not too red. But here, a medium came more like a medium rare… So we asked if it could be cooked to medium well, which they did for us. The portions are fairly large. Shared this between 3 people, and we still had a lot of left overs and took it home for another meal, lol. Price is decent for the quality and portion($ 60). We’ll definitely come back again! Way better then Outback Steakhouse. Comparable to, maybe a bit better then black angus steakhouse.

The food, as my last visit, was amazing. the table was good. everything from the appetizers to the cheesecake was top notch. the only thing that made me wince was the waitress apparently had a friend dining in our section and spent more than a few times, more than a few minutes visiting with them. we will be back for the next birthday or anniversary tho. it’s the best steak in Fresno.

My favorite restaurant in all of Fresno! The food is always amazing! I always order the bacon wrapped filet mignon medium-rare and I can hear the angels singing! Yes this place is on the pricier side, but you really get what you pay for. It’s worth it! Tip: Make a reservation for a large group or you’ll end up waiting for 30+min.

I had made dinner reservations for last night on a Saturday, we arrived and I had specifically asked for a table, one of our guest had knee surgery recently and it would have been very difficult for him to sit in a booth, when we arrived the host said no tables were available!!! and we would have to wait an hour, we ended up with a booth which is what very difficult for our guest to get into and out of without assistance! then our server arrived we placed our orders but the server kept suggesting we try the green bean he didn’t even offer other suggestions for side dishes, I asked my prime rib be an end cut & well done, our food arrives cold, no end cut and rare! I had to return it! It was my husband’s birthday and they were aware and didn’t even offer us any desserts, They whole experience was disappointing and I will NOT be returning… First time there and last.

We’re self employed business persons, and in Fresno that means stretching our entertainment budget to the max. Yosemite Ranch does that for us with ease, whether eating in the restaurant or ordering from their curbside pickup menu. The«dining in» menu is a steakhouse lovers delight, at a truly affordable price for the neighborhood. That noted, our true love from Yosemite Ranch is the family size steak dinner, with all the sides we love so much, ready for us when we arrive at the curbside. The Golden Mashers, wok fried green beans(ask them to cook ‘em ’til tender) and whatever additional sides we might choose, are always just right. The salad is a REAl salad, not just a pile of soggy lettuce, with your choice of dressings, even Caesar. The real centerpiece of the meal, as it should be, is the huge serving of cooked to order steak. You can get it untrimmed or trimmed, sliced or whole, any in any range do doneness you may desire. Trust me, if you’re only feeding two, it’ll last days, and only taste better and better. Oh, I’m hungry for some right now, darn it. ;) Best of all, you can call in your order, and arrive a half hour later to pick up, and it’s ready, even on New Years Eve. My thanks to Dave & the crew for making our New Years celebration special. We’ll be picking up some dinner soon!

We have been here probably a hand full of times and each time had something different. Drinks and apps at the bar, apps seafood and dessert, chicken and pasta, everything inhave had have been delicious. The wait can be a little much sometimes but overall it has always been a great food experience.

First off, the wait staff was exceptional! Our server, Jessica, deserves 5 stars — she was very polite, very attentive, was very knowledgeable about the menu items, the specials, etc. Also, we made reservations for 4pm, and when we arrived, it was nice that they had a table all ready for us! The 2 stars more so reflects the food. Although the presentation was nice, I think the execution could have been a little better, especially at the prices we were paying. First off, we placed 2 orders for steak and lobster. The lobster came out looking wonderful, but was slightly colder than room temperature. With that, rather than a container coming with it filled with melted, clarified butter, it was simply butter(not melted, still in solid form) in the little silver container. With the lobster being as cold as it was, we were simply pasting butter onto a cold lobster tail, which made it have a slimy texture. The steaks were not seasoned at all — no pepper, no salt, nothing. They were decent at best, and at those prices, we were hoping for that«WOW» factor… so when we bit into our steaks, it was very anticlimactic. Lastly, the sides were less than stellar as well. My sauted green beans looked like they had been sitting for a while, and were served at room temperature, as well as the potatoes I had ordered. My husband’s side dishes were pretty much the same. In all, this is a place that we want to love and return to! However, it is something that we just can’t see ourselves going back to, especially at those prices. Our plan however is to go back once more — maybe the chef and his/her staff had an «off» night? Who knows.

Your locally owned steak house, with plenty of other options. Harris Beef here! Full bar with great drinks. Besides the steaks they have plenty of other great options. Atmosphere is what you would expect. We don’t go here a lot, but it is worth it when we do go.

the best steak in Fresno hands down! took the wife her a few times and every visit was better than the one before, the bacon wrapped 10oz sirloin is not to be played with trust me, tender & juicy every bite is delicious! also the potatoe mashers are a great side dish for any steak you order here & I always add sour cream & bacon bits I wish I had some pictures to add to this review but the, food is so good I really dont be having time to snap one lol also the atmosphere here is very romantic this is a nice place to take your significant other for dinner & drinks, we ordered a couple bellini’s to go with our meal & they were perfect, bellinis are a great blended alcoholic drink & they taste great with anything, will definitely be back again & again, great customer service & awesome food

So we chose this place over Flemings and Ruth’s Chris because they were closer to home and Unilocal said they were open until 10. We walked in at 9 and the hostess made a point of letting us know they closed at 9:30…twice. I screenshotted that they indeed did list closing time at 10 but for some reason can’t include it in this post. Ordered drinks which were fine. Jalapeño cornbread was the highlight. Ordered entrees and asked for my steak medium rare — he had the ribs and fried chicken special. Both had the tomato basil soup to start which filled us up — we should have left then. My steak was significantly overcooked but because it was so late — and I was already holding the restaurant up from closing as the hostess implied — I didn’t say anything. My side of green beans was inedible and the rice pilaf was littered with soggy mushrooms so I skipped those. Flavor of steak was good. Husbands fried chicken was good but he left the rest of the plate — couldn’t even cut into the ribs. When the overpriced bill came, server had charged us for an extra glass of wine we didn’t order. She didn’t offer us dessert — I’m sure because it was nearing 10… I couldn’t bear another minute in there anyway. So much for date night.

I went there for happy hour. Great prices and there are some good but limit food items. The service is among the best of the restaurants here in Fresno. This was even despite an almost full capacity. The food was overall good but not great. If I was paying full price I do see it slightly overpriced for what I’m getting but once again the happy hour dishes were a great deal. My colleagues had food from the regular menu and comment it was also good but mainly average. I would still come back for sure especially given the service here

Made reservations through Unilocal Seatme on a Saturday night and was seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was a lot dimer than I had anticipated. The bf said it reminded him of a more upscale Outback Steakhouse lol. He thought it was going to be a linen table cloth kind of steakhouse. A lit up candle for the table would’ve been nice per the boyfriend as the place was almost turn the lights off dark. Boyfriend got the bacon wrapped filet with mash potatoes and wok seared green beans. I, on the other hand, went to a steakhouse to order a poke tower lol… We both had the apple bleu salad. The filet was cooked accordingly. The green beans were a little salty for my preference. The mash potatoes were just mash potatoes. The apple bleu salads were very delicious and a nice starter. The ahi poke tower is prepared two different ways. I preferred the more traditional way it was prepared, but I was not quite impressed with it. I’ve had better poke tower from Pismo’s Grill. I know I know, you’re going to tell me you don’t go to a steakhouse to order seafood, but I want what I want dannngit ;) ! We’ve been meaning to try this place out so it was definitely a nice evening out, but honestly, we have our own grill and have grilled better steaks from home and made our own mash potatoes that were much more flavorful. Definitely not knocking on their food, but if you can do something better yourself, why go out and mess it up? I’m not much of a steak person, but the steaks grilled at home does the job for me. A+ on the service. Waitress was attentive and as quick as she possibly could be for a very busy Saturday evening. We were in and out of the restaurant within an hour. Will definitely have to check out their happy hour. Another thing, we totally forgot about their Chicago style butter for the steaks! Bummer, I think the bf was more excited about this for his steak, but once we got there we completely forgot about the whole ordeal :/ I like what I like and if that means grilling up my own steaks, so be it :) :)

I’ve always loved going to Yo Ranch. I’ve had really good service every time I go from every employee. The downside for me is the size of their bar. Always crowded. As far as the food goes, the chicken dip with mashers is my favorite :) The firecracker shrimp and the crispy artichoke hearts are delicious… typing about them is making my mouth water for them. I don’t go as often now for drinks like I used to because it’s definitely a hangout for the older crowd… like women who try to dress like their fifteen year old daughters and men who still think Affliction shirts and Rock & Republic jeans are still in style. It’s definitely funny to watch though when they’re drunk and music is playing.

Yosemite Ranch was recommended to me by Tiffany O(a Fresno native). The restaurant name made me think it would be more rural, like Harris Ranch in Coalinga. This place is in a standard corner shopping mall and looks more like a Claim Jumper. Appearances aside, the more important thing is the food and our dinner far exceeded all of our expectations. We both ordered the Midwest 28 Day Aged Rib Eye. For my included starter salad, I had the Apple Bleu(romaine topped with apple, bleu cheese, toasted almonds, raisins, and poppyseed dressing) while the girlfriend had the Baby Green Bistro(baby greens with bleu cheese, tomatoes, sweetened walnuts, cranberries, and Spanish vinaigrette). Both were excellent. The steaks come with two sides. I went with the Golden Mashers and Broccolini. The girlfriend had the Smashers and Summer Veggies. Again, everything was excellent. I couldn’t get it straight at the time, but the Smashers are like plain mashed potatoes in the shape of a pot pie. The Golden Smashers are super buttery and garlicky mashed potatoes(in no particular shape). I guess the Smashers are supposed to be healthier, but they were both great. Even better that we were able to try both. So how about the steak? Succinctly, it was absolutely fantastic. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor with an appropriate amount of fat. It was too dark in the restaurant to properly assess if the steaks were indeed medium rare, but I almost didn’t care. It was damn delicious. And for $ 30 per dinner, it felt like a steal. Granted, I’m used to Vegas prices. I dare say that, from start to finish, this was one of the best steak dinners I’ve ever had. Some people might read that statement and immediately dismiss it as hyperbole. You are free to do so.

Best steakhouse in Fresno, CA accept no substitutes. Third time coming to this place and I always spend a pretty penny but the guilt is not present because to me is worth the money. I always went to Tahoe Joe’s, Outback, Westwood’s and even Roadhouse’s but none other are quite on the same level as this place. If you’re in a hurry please do a reservation because it’s always packed, and there’s a reason why it is. Drinks are on point, any place that serves Sierra Nevada is a star itself. I love a place that serves local beer that is brewed here in our lovely state. I always get the dinner for two or the Parmesan Steak melt. My steak I order is medium all the way nothing else. Steak was perfect medium rare and seasoned really superb, and the meat was juicy and tender. Also the portion is really generous! The waitress was really nice and professional. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth it for special occasions or anniversary celebrations. So check it out, you won’t be disappointed and for two people you would spend an average of $ 60.00 dollars, so don’t cheap out… you know it’s worth it. I rate this place 5.0 for good times, meals, service and drinks.
