Ummm. this is really weird for a place that is around $ 100 a person, but their steaks are not seasoned and are bland as hell. I am stumped by the reviews that say they had the best steak ever !!! I am guessing those ppl have never been to Yosemite Ranch, lol. The ambiance is nice, no doubt, and the staff is very friendly, but the major draw to a steakhouse should be steak. We tried it, and we all decided to go back to our good ol’ hangout where the steaks are cooked right by the cooks, and they don’t tell you to basically finish cooking your own steak on a 500 degree plate. Oh, and it’s about half the cost. Do yourself a favor and go to YoRanch or even Chili’s. Yes, I said Chili’s. At least their food has flavor!

Always a good choice for an elegant evening of fine dinning. I recommend the Ruth’s classics. My favorite is the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. They have a good selection of wine to pair with any dish.

It’s pricy, but worth every penny. I went all out with the 5 course dinner and a bottle of wine, and I’d do it again because the service and the quality of food is outstanding. A must for any occasion. Couldn’t ask for a better experience

Was a perfect 1st Anniversary dinner! Chelsea is the best waitress! Greeted with Happy Anniversary from all the staff! Dinner was phenomenal as i had the t bone steak and husband had the rib eye steak. Crab stack appetizer is so delicious ! Lobster Mac can be eaten alone as a meal! Maybe next time he he! Coconut lemon drop was the best cocktail(shots out to the bartender). Next time, I think we will share a steak. They are huge! But we’ve been enjoying the leftovers. Still melts in your mouth!

This. Place. Was. Delicious. Plus the service was impeccable. We started with a cocktail at the bar and then transitioned to a dinner table where my coworker and I had a few appetizers(ahi tuna and bbq shrimp), the ribeye(she had the filet), and a few side dishes including the potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Everything was silver delicious and our server Brandon was so great(as was the guy who helped out with our plates and leftovers — I forgot his name at the moment). Overall, amazing experience, great food, and amazing service. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I went a couple days ago for dinner and left completely underwhelmed. And fof the price of Ruth’s Chris, we should not be underwhelmed! The service was great, everyone attentive and we weren’t rushed at all during our dinner. It was the food that was disappointing. We each got the 3 — plate meal. My soup, lobster bisque was all right but noting special. I requested my petit filet medium rare and it came medium and not as tasty as I believed it should have. My husband ate his whole petit filet, but wasn’t excited by it. We added the fire corn as an appetizer to our mashed potatoes and the fire corn was plain. We ended up not eating it. My main problem was with the dessert that came with the 3 — plate menu. It wasn’t good. We will probably return to ruths chris for their happy hour but I can’t see myself spending that much money on dinner again and not being 100% satisfied.

We went here today to try it out and see what all the fuss is about. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very nice and attentive. She suggested we get the spicy lobster for our appetizer and omg it was amazing!!! The best thing ever. I highly recommend it. I ordered the filet and shrimp it was very good and hot. Side of mash potatoes was alright not anything special. One disappointment was that my sister ordered a well done filet and it came out bloody not well done at all so she told the waitress and I guess they re cooked the same filet and it came back out as jerky and black over well done lol but as soon as we said something a nice lady came over and talked to us and it wasn’t added to our bill my sister just had to get something on the way home but watched us all eat our dinner there. Other then that service was great.

My husband and I came for the happy hour from 4:30 — 6:30 in the bar. It was great. I ordered the prime burger with fries($ 9) and my husband ordered the steak sandwich with fries($ 9) and spicy lobster($ 9). They also served us warm bread with soft butter. A great dinner for $ 30!

I’ve dined at other Ruth Chris restaurants and always had great Steaks, however the Steak I had at this restaurant was amazing. It literally melted in my mouth it was so tender. All the sides and appetizers were really good as well. Service was satisfactory, just a bit formal feeling for my taste. (Warning: when the waitress tells you the plate is hot, it really is freaking HOT) I’ve had waitress tell me at any number of restaurants over the years that the plates are hot, usually they are not all that hot. I actually burnt my finger on this plate and it created a blister. Definitely will return, but will be careful with the hot plate.

Food: 5 Sea bass — generous portion, simply seasoned, perfectly moist. Would’ve liked more of the sweet potato/pineapple hash so every bite of that delicious sea bass would be even more yummier. Didn’t think to ask for more because I was too busy talking. I’m sure they would’ve brought more. BBQ shrimp — more than enough(half was brought home). Freshest of the fresh. Meat doneness — just know that the plates are preheated to 500 degrees(no joke, the server will tell you) so medium-rare turns out medium-well because it continues to cook. Get your servers opinion on it before committing. Sides — mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin, cremini mushrooms, lobster Mac and cheese… all perfectly prepared. Can’t go wrong. Service — love the professionalism! Right on point for this level of steakhouse. Just a side note. I was aware of this but won’t ding RCSH for it because I think I’m pretty picky: My pet peeve is when dishes are set down on the table but something is in the way so the dish in hand pushes that object out of the way(another small plate or utensil). This would NOT happen at let’s say French Laundry but I think it’s excusable here. A complimentary dessert was given to my parents for their anniversary and the menu was printed with a «Happy 44th Anniversary» at the top. My mom LOVED that! Thanks Ruth’s!

This is my favorite happy hour spot in town! It gets pretty crowded(typically filled with professionals who are just getting off work) so it can be hard to find a place to sit. The waiters do their best to be as attentive as possible so I would say service is pretty good. The food and drink specials are amazing — I’ve tasted just about everything on the menu. The burger is the best thing on the menu for sure!

After a long exhausting day at work I decided to treat myself to one of my favorite Steak House over at Ruth Chris. As I walked in my bartender Elena acknowledged me and made me an Arnold Palmer. It is so great that Elena still remembers me and order my drink without having to ask. Tonight I had the following for dinner. Prime Burger 4⁄5 Tasted really good without having to add any condiments. Crab BLT3⁄5 My sourdough bread was kinda soggy. Tomahawk Steak 5⁄5 If you don’t mind paying $ 130 for a 40 oz steak. Flavor was awesome and cooked to perfection med well. Arnold Palmer 4⁄5 I would give it 5⁄5 if it had more tangy taste like last time, still not too bad. Service 5⁄5 All of my food came out in a timely manner when it was packed during happy hour. My drink was filled when it’s empty and my stomach was full and I was happy. After a long hard day at work I came to the right place for dinner where the food and service was a 5⁄5. I thought about giving West Wood BBQ another try but I made the right choice tonight coming to Ruth Chris.

Chris Ruth What we ordered: –Spicy lobster appetizer –T bone steak –two petite steak with shirmps –cremini mushrooms This is the most expensive steak I have every bought to date. Fifty-seven dollars man. But I would have to say, it might be the most memorable steak and dining experience I have yet to encountered. It was also the first time I made reservations to dine out. Let’s start with the service. We were greeted warmly from the hostess to our server to our server’s assistant. Everyone was kind, full of smiles and professional. Possibly the best service I have received in Fresno. It was our anniversary(five years) so we thought we should celebrate and it seemed like the other patrons were also either there for an anniversary or birthday. Our server explained to us on what made Chris Ruth steaks special. They only use Prime grade steak, the stuff I can’t afford to buy on a daily basis. She also explained that the cows were corn-feed. That was off putting to me, as cows naturally feed on grass. So grass-fed meat would have been more impressive, but hey, she’s a hostess, not a butcher, and that’s probably what they trained her to describe. She also explained that the their oven is hot. Like hell-fire hot, something like a thousand degree hot so it can seared the sh*t out of the steak, keeping all that juicy-bloody-goodness intact. The plates that the steaks were served on were also hot, about four hundred degrees. Don’t touch unless you intended to dine on your own crispy fingers as appetizers. The lobster appetizer was damn worth the twenty dollars I spent on it. It’s not large, only enough for possibly six small bites, but it’s quality here, not stuff-your-face-silly buffet. It filled with lobster pieces, deep fried to a crisp and tossed in a spicy mayo-ish sauce. I would recommend and would love to have some more. The side that we chose was the cremini mushroom. Very hearty and rich. I detected butter, white wine and something a bit more savory, possible a touch of soy or Worcestershire sauce? The portion of the shrooms were more than enough for two. And because it was so rich, the couple final bites was a bit harder to swallow. Now, for the steaks. The T-bone was cooked exactly as ordered, medium. I was advised that because the plate was so hot, the meat will continue to cook as we eat. That did happen, but it didn’t affect the wellness of the meat. It pretty much stayed medium the whole time. As I pushed and pulled the knife into the steak, blood/juices would oozed out and sizzle onto the hot plate. I dabbed the meat with its sauce before delivering it into my orifice of pleasure: the steak was– and I know it’s a simple word, but sometimes the most direct way is the best way – f*cking good. I don’t think I’ve had the chance to ingest prime, high grade beef. It tasted a little different more earthy. I can’t help but think what a kobe or wagyu beef would taste like. There’s a documentary on steaks on Netflix, I don’t remember the name but I recommend anyone that’s interested in eating steaks to watch. I’ve been to two other steakhouse in Fresno: Texas Roundhouse and Cool Hand Luke’s. The memory of this steak from Chris Ruth outweighs the other two. I recommend that anyone looking to celebrate and willing to fork up the moola, to try Chris Ruth. Just once. It’s a real experience from the service, the food, the décor: you start to think to yourself, «Damn, is this what it’s like to be rich?» The meal cost us about $ 180.00. Will I be returning anytime soon? I think not, unless my hourly wage was to jump by two hundred percent. But will I be forgetting the taste of the that steak anytime soon? Oh no. I don’t give out anything higher than a 3 on Unilocal, and there’s a reason for that. If a business is only average, a 3 is suffice. To be a 4, means the food, the service, the overall experience must have touched me on a level that’s well above average. Chris Ruth is worth a 4. And if you’re wondering what a 5 would be like for me, I would have to experience death and rebirth for a 5: it’s gotta be life changing. Maybe you think my standards are high, but hey, we shouldn’t lower our standards just because everyone else does. Best steak I’ve had in life as of now… looking to try Fleming next, just for comparison.

I have ate at other big«fancy» chain steakhouses like Flemmings, so I came here not really expecting a whole lot. In fact I actively thought I was going to have a mediocre experience like I always do when my family drags me to Flemmings. Fortunately it looks like I was incorrect because I had a rather good meal here. Of course lets get one thing out of the way, yes this is a chain steakhouse that yes is probably over charging you, and its located in a shopping center. This isn’t somewhere you come to have a Michelin Star dinner, but for what it is the food is pretty good. A good chunk of the family turned out for dinner, everyone was happy with the food that they ordered. My wife and I both got the steak and lobster tail special and were very happy with our meals. The service was for the most part attentive, although at times it did sort of feel like we had been forgotten about, despite sitting right in the middle of the restaurant. However when they did come over to our table they took care of whatever we needed.

The sides here are huge enough to feed two people. The lobster Mac & cheese was creamy, but not too cheesy. They also didn’t skimp of the amount of lobster on it. It was big enough for three or four people to share as a side. The mash potatoes were big enough just for my boyfriend and I to share. Jacob has the t bone steak(22oz), came out sizzling hot & it was cooked the way he wanted. The steak was not dry or overly salted. Then I tried my chicken, which was a stuffed chicken but it was way too salty. I had to squeeze out whatever was inside the chicken & move it to the side. After that it was ok. But who orders chicken at a place meant for steak right? Lol oops. Anyways, moving on to dessert we were going to have the sorbet(which is house made by the way!) but j opted out for the Crème brûlée because it’s my favorite. Our server’s name was Jacob, & he was super awesome. He also told us about the history of the place, gave great recommendations, he knew the menu well & attentive. Overall, I liked this place because of the huge portions & the steak. But I much prefer the service I get at Max’s. My water was empty quite a few times, one of the waiters spilled ice on the table and didn’t even pick it up. He left it there.(wasn’t Jacob our main server, btw) which left a bad taste in my mouth. The food was good but there weren’t any unique flavors. Except for the Mac and cheese. Would I come here again? Yes. Why? Most likely because of the portions& my bf’s love for steak.

I’ve been at this location more than times than I would to admit but never for a special occasion. Most occasions are for cooperate events. Service is always top notch and to the point here and it was no exception. He knew the specials well including the wine and that was impressive They made small but nice touches to our birthday celebration. The food is always exceptional. I had the rib eye rare since they serve it on sizzling plates, it tends to cook a little more during the meal. Best sides are the creamed spinach and mash potatoes. I was not too much a fan of the roasted corn which has a salsa flair to it. Just doesn’t go with a traditional steak meal. Their salads are exceptional as well with a perfect ratio of tossed dressing, goat cheese and fennel. Soups are good as well such as the gumbo but not exceptional. Last touch was nice with a free dessert with a small touch pictured below
