The place was pretty empty for a saturday night. Server was very friendly. The house margaritas were good and strong. However, they use processed cheese. Enough said. Would go back for the drinks, but would not order anything with cheese on it.

So far the service is slow, I’ve become accustomed to Mexican restaurants that have mostly Mexican decorations. Seeing mostly main stream America has initially made me skeptical of the food. Today i was hungry, i will not be back. Over the years I’ve discovered that people make food salty when other mistakes are made. At present service is dreadfully slow & while i normally tip at least 30%, that’s not happening today. Waitress checked on me once & took 10 minutes to get back to me after i finished eating.

Food was ok, the prices have significantly increased, but our service was absolutely terrible. We waited and waited to get our drinks, then waited for someone to take our order, then one of the orders was wrong and it had to be sent back, I don’t think our waitress understood English, then we waited to get the food, waited and waited for the ticket when we were done, and waited again for them to process our payment, It was crazy busy, but then we look over and see our waitress just standing around talking with the other waiters. It was very disappointing, Manny’s used to be a wonderful place at their other location in Frisco, we always had fantastic service and food was amazing but since moving to this location, everything about it has really declined.

I have been here twice now and both times the food was decent enough that I would give them a solid average 3 stars, but there were other issues on our most recent visit that defiantly lowered the experience. I’ll start with the positive. My party had a kids quesadilla, a fajita steak salad, chicken fajitas, and a beef taco salad. All of our entrees were enjoyable and the taste was good. I would not say it’s the best Tex-Mex I’ve ever had though when compared to other restaurants in the Frisco area. I do wish the hot sauce was a little spicier. There was hardly any kick. Now for the negative; this is the main reason for two stars. When one of our entrees came out, there was a hair in the refried beans. I understand that kitchens can’t be perfect and that does occasionally happen, but it was still really gross. We informed the waitress, who hadn’t really been friendly anyway, and she took the plate. She returned a few minutes later and said«we just got you a new plate.» What I said was thank you but what I thought in my head was«obviously.» The other negative also relates to the waitress and our food coming out. She made three different trips to bring us our food, four if you count the fresh beans and the very last person served was my two year old. Even the fresh, hairless beans came out before his cheese quesadilla and French fries. It just wasn’t good planning on their part. Here we were, four adults with food in front of us that we couldn’t touch because we had a two old sitting and asking«where is my food?» Another table nearby even got their food, served by our waitress as well, before the kids meal came out. I realize that isn’t reflective of the food quality, but it still put a damper on our overall experience.

I ordered fajita’s and when they came out they weren’t even sizzling. I looked at them and then at the server, she said, «Didn’t you know they aren’t supposed to sizzle? «Either way i like sizzling fajitas and hot ones at that. Guess mine lost their sizzle when they set too long waiting to get to my table.

Great food and service. I think the salsa is the best around and someone at the table behind us was here for the first time and commented«its so good he could drink it». Great prices and wed night is buffet.

We have been coming to Manny’s for years. Good prices and consistent food quality. Friday special today was steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas for $ 10.99. Really good and lots of food. Chips and salsa are ok, nothing special. But we ate two baskets of chips and all the salsa. You will find this place is better than ok and it is a place you come to often. Beer specials are good. If you aren’t in the mood for Mexican food, the chicken fried steak is good. Service is always good.

Nope… Food was a 2 and service was a 1, Taco Cabana down the street has more authentic Mexican food. Too bad this place looked so fun!

I like the vibe of the place. We arrived on a Saturday evening to go to a Safety Town event for Christmas and decided to eat here for dinner. There was a band playing that evening which added a good entertainment factor. They were bluesy which was good as well. The service was great. We were greeted at the door and hostess even joked around with us. The waitress was very nice and even had a conversation with the little one. The food on the other hand was a little disappointing. I had the enchiladas and my significant other had the grande burrito. My enchiladas seems a little bland. I was expecting a nice flavor but was left wanting. The beef didn’t seemed flavored and the rice need a tad bit salt. On the other hand, the Pico de Gallo felt like it had too much salt. Overall, the environment and vibe is amazing. I am sure that other items in the menu are much better. With this optimism in mind, I will not hesitate to come and try a different item on the menu.

I’ve been here many times and never had anything wrong. But I came in today for take out and my entire order was wrong definitely places them back a few in my book. The salsa is not the best they pour from a bottle so it sits and gets bad.

Do not order the house margarita under any circumstance. It tastes like it was poured out of a milk jug. If you need a marg, upgrade to a better version. Free chips and salsa are some of the worst out there(I guess I got what I paid for there). Surprisingly, best part of the meal was my kids’ chicken tenders and fries. The fries were actually fantastic, and they came with a little cheese side that was very good. The actual Mexican food was okay, enchiladas were well prepared. Our server was very pleasant… so it wasn’t a total wash, I guess.

Stopped in only because it was the only Mexican food open and all the taquerias were closed. The interior décor was fun and inviting just like their wait staff. Awesome. Even the live musician was great. This only made me more excited for the food. Wrong. I got the burro burrito with beef. Usually when they ask beef or chicken, I’m thinking Carne Asada beef… not low quality over salted taco beef that could’ve been served at a place lower than Taco Bell. I honestly wish I had went to Taco Bell instead. We also ordered a side of chips with their hottest sauce. When we all tried it, it tasted like water. Should’ve got the pico de gallo instead. Great first impression on Tex Mex.

We had some time to kill and were in this area so we decided to stop in for a bite. My husband and I weren’t too hungry, so we figured we’d share something and have some drinks at the bar. What a great idea! We were able to enjoy the happy hour house margaritas for $ 3 and the friendly server brought us a complimentary cup of queso to go with our chips. The queso was so tasty! We shared the brisket enchiladas,($ 9.95). It was super flavorful and brought up quickly and piping hot. I definitely loved the ambiance and the location of the place. I do plan on returning again and again!

We stopped in for lunch. My wife and I thought there might be a relationship between this place and Manny’s in Uptown Dallas. No, it is not related. Anyway, the food we had was pretty low end Mexican food. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special to get us to return. The place was clean and the service was good. Prices were average.

Today the dice spoke and they said«Manny’s»… Fortunately, Thursday’s lunch special is Fajitas’s for $ 7.99… if you are new to the joint, look for the chalkboard near the kitchen. .you will find the list of daily specials. Before I get to the main plate, I want to highlight the salsa… it is really good… however, the chips, they are ‘meh’, 90% of them are thicker and a bit tougher(stale maybe?) than I prefer… but hey, they’re ‘free’ so my expectations are met… The Fajita special can be steak, chicken or a combo… and you get plenty of meat for at least 3 tortillas… I ordered a combo and had 2 steak and 1 overstuffed chicken fajita… the order will come with a side plate of refried beans(a bit of cheddar melted on them), rice, small pico salad, and a scoop of guacamole. Something was missing… yes, you are correct! CHEESE! That’s easily fixed with a side order of shredded cheddar(same size bowl as salsa) for $ 0.95. Ideally, I’d like to see sour cream instead of the pico and inclusion of cheese… but overall, still a solid value. The service was a bit slow at first, until we got our girl… after that, she was very attentive and met our needs with salsa refills, plate delivery, water refills, etc… Since I saw Manny’s scores were lower than my opinion, I felt compelled to set the record straight… it will remain on our lunch rotation any time the dice speak their number. –B

GREATFOOD and SERVICE! Service and atmosphere were very good! Food came out promptly. The Chips and Salsa were very good. Chips were thin, light, and not greasy. Salsa was nice and tasty, not overly spicy. I ordered the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. They were Great! Plenty of thick rich sour cream sauce on the enchiladas. The enchiladas were made with flour tortillas rolled with a good amount of tender, moist, well seasoned chicken in them.
The re-fried beans were good, and the rice was nice and fluffy with a good cumin flavor. Will go again when I’m in the neighborhood. I don’t get to Frisco much! RANT: For the parents with the screaming children who were out of control, and out of their seats. You seem oblivious to the fact that your BRATS were annoying everyone! You had to get up and chase your brat into the business office, because he was running wild and opening doors that he wasn’t supposed to, you suck as a parent! People should be coming to you saying how lovely your children are, not quietly hoping you’ll leave soon. Did you see the F – in mess your brats left at the table? I was embarrassed for you. Your baby was covered with beans because you didn’t bring a baby’s spoon, and the whining little boy who was banging the spoon on the table were far from adorable. You must be proud of your parenting skills! BTW, the parenting book your friends gave you at your wedding, «Parenting for Rednecks» was a joke!

Ordered the«Tenderloin Steak». When I asked what cut of meat it was the waitress had to go check. When she came back she said it was the same as the Carne Asada, which is listed on the menu as a Ribeye. I said that was great, and asked for it to be cooked medium. I also asked for no beans. What I got was overdone flank steak with rice and beans. Normally I would send such mistakes back to the kitchen, but since the meal had taken well over 30 minutes to arrive, I was starving and ate what I was given. The manager happened to pass by the table. I begged him not to take the food back since I was very hungry, but explained the issues with the plate. He comped half the price of the entrée, which was nice of him. However, given the very slow service and the multiple mistakes I don’t think we’ll return.

When we lived in Frisco, we came here sometimes for dinner because they have insane specials. I want to say it was Thursday nights maybe and combination beef and chicken fajitas were only $ 6 a person? Don’t quote me on that because its been a while and I don’t remember the actual deal, but I do know that for two people to order fajitas we would walk out spending way less than $ 20, even after tip. Your best bet would be to check their webpage. I know they still offer daily specials and I also don’t think all of them are Mexican food either. One daily special was chicken fried steak when we used to go a lot. I will say that you get what you pay for here. It certainly won’t be the best food you’ve ever had, but you will leave full and only slightly poorer. The fajita meat is okay, but the tortillas are dry. The chips aren’t the greatest, but the salsa is alright. Fajitas do come with guacamole, rice, and beans without having to pay extra for though which is really nice. Beer specials are good too, but the parking can be weird. There are a few spots along the side near the entrance and behind the building, but then the rest of the parking is in the dirt lot across the street.

From the exterior, this place looks like it could be a local favorite, but closer inspection reveals it is not. We were there on a weeknight and it was relatively full. Our party of 7 had no problems getting a table immediately. They have one small TV with no volume, but it was playing sports. The prices are cheap and the product reflects this. I did consider the buffet option that was being offered, but one walk through made me decide against it as the choices were not that appealing and was probably sitting there for awhile. Instead, I got the Brisket Tacos, which was average at best. It was very salty. I don’t think I will be returning.

I’ve been here twice and I haven’t been disappointed once. I ordered the Monday Special. It ischeese enchiladas with Dakota meat on top. A side of queso is free with every order. The cheese enchiladas are kind of bland, but the Dakota meat is great! Rice and beans are typical Tex Mex. This place does not disappoint.
