Taco Cabana

Normally I really like Taco Cabana. First time to this location. Both the dining room and drive thru hardly had any customers while I was there, and I’m not that surprised. Food quality was not to the standard I’ve received from other Taco Cabana locations. The cheese enchilada had less cheese than you’d normally get on a taco. The refried beans were very dry. Like they’d been sitting for hours. Taco Bell quality, without the cheap prices.
The bathroom had a bad odor from the floor drain. They seriously need some barrier liquid.
I will continue to enjoy other lications, but I don’t think I’ll return to this one.

After living in San Antonio for years, this used to be tried and true good food. I can say, I’ve tried taco cabana for the last time. It has steadily gone down hill and that’s just sad. From horribly made tortillas to flavorless breakfast tacos. Never again

I’d give it a zero, if i could. Used their drive thru, placed my order and as i drove up to the window the employees were horsing around with the water hose and sprayed the interior of my car thru their cashier window… my car is brand new and literally less than one month old. I understand mistakes happen, but they literally laughed it off as if it were funny. not even an apology for it. nothing. it was infuriating. when i left and opened my bag i realized my order was missing the queso, the salsa, AND the tacos were bare despite asking for pico, etc. never returning to this place again. service was non existent and the order was incomplete.

This place is dirty. Deep down, not ever cleaned well. Dirty. My feet are sticking to the floor. There is a broom leaning against the wall but the floor clearly hasn’t been swept all day. The cashier didn’t listen to my order at all and even after being corrected twice Still got it wrong. I love other taco cabana locations but this one stucks.

I get it. It’s Taco Cabana. It’s not gourmet by any means. My frustration with this location is that it has so much potential. It’s right down the street from the Preston Ridge campus of Collin College. Last semester I stopped by here almost every Friday morning for the same order: 2 dozen breakfast tacos. Nothing weird, no substitutions or anything. EVERY single time the wait would be 20 minutes for them, even though I spoke with the manager numerous times that I was a repeat customer and would be back the next Friday. I even tried calling ahead; didn’t work. They also would constantly either forget to include the salsa, or if they did, they wouldn’t put in napkins or spoons to use the salsa. To be blunt: this was a disaster. I finally gave up near the end of the semester and switched my food Friday treats for the class to Chick Fil A as they could have a party tray of chick n minis ready for me on time.
It’s a shame. I love TC’s other locations but this one doesn’t know how to get out hot (or even warm) consistent food.

Popped by here one weekend morning to get some breakfast tacos and was pleased.
Got three (chorizo, bacon and potato plus egg of course) for less than $ 4. My advice to anyone getting drive through here is to check your order before you drive off. It has been an issue in the past.
Back to the tacos, they were outstanding. Chorizo especially had great flavor and kept me filled up. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, another plus.

I ignored the reviews and went anyway. Food was ok except I got a to go order and wound up home with an incorrect order. My fault for not checking or their fault for not providing what I asked for? Sad.

Break tacos; nice and cheap. The potato could use a lot more flavor. The egg on the tacos is predominant with whatever other item you have chosen barely making an appearance. But for a cheap breakfast what more could you ask for?

I am so frustrated by this particular location. They constantly screw up the drive thru orders. I even previously complained to management, and twice since then they have messed up drive thru orders. There is no other taco cabana nearby, so the only option is to go to another chain. So frustrating

Another visit yesterday and another good meal. Most of the time I get one of the taco cabana bowls; chicken, steak or beef. This time I got the chicken flautas plate using a coupon. Ask and you can vary the choices of ingredients black beans vs. refried beans. For a plate or combo order one gets just as much food as served at waiter served restaurants at far less cost. This location is worth a repeat visit.

This location can’t seem to get it together. First… I asked the person working behind the counter if they had happy hour. He looked at me with such confusion and then I heard a voice from the back scream yes. So I ordered steak fajita nachos, what they delivered was a very small appetizer of greasy chips and a sprinkling of fajita meat dust. Nachos come with cheese right? Anyway, it wasn’t all bad. It’s the cleanest I have seen this restaurants since it’s been open. Maybe that’s because I was the only one eating there. Suffice it to say, this will be my last trip to this taco cabana restaurant.

Sat at the drive — thru for 13 minutes waiting for the pickup truck guy in front of me to finish his conversation with the female attendant. This was not a busy time and apparently no one wanted any actual business. I had to back out of the drive — thru and go some where else.

I love Mexican food, the restaurant is pretty clean, sometimes they cook the rise with more flavor, sometimes not, the tortilla taste very good together with the ranch salsa.

A little surprised at some of the reviews that I read for this location. I just moved to Frisco (Apr. ’14) and I tried this place because my Brother-​In-​Law from Frisco kept telling me that it was amazing. In Nashville, my former home, there was nothing like this place. Our comparable was Taco Bell and after eating here, I cannot even understand how Taco Bell is in business.
I went fairly simple with the street tacos. I used to eat this in CA and they were every bit as good here. I also grabbed a regular crispy beef taco and a brisket taco and a shrimp taco (I like to eat a lot, what’s it to you, Don’t judge me). The brisket taco was by far my favorite. The smoky flavor was incredible. The chips and the crispy shell were fresh and delicious as well. The only one that I was not too thrilled with was the shrimp taco. It wasn’t bad or anything, it just did not compare to the others. I also like the salsa bar. You can choose your heat tolerance and they have some cool flavors.

I’ve been eating at Dallas area Taco Cabanas since the 1980’s and this is possibly the worst location I’ve ever visited. Not only do they not care, some of the employees have just plain bad attitudes.
I ordered two breakfast tacos the last time I was there; one had about a tablespoon of filling. When I asked (very politely) about possibly making it more or less correct a young guy came out of the kitchen and started making snide comments while the girl working the counter giggled. He was showing off for her, and if there was a manager on duty he was ignoring the commotion. I set the food on the counter and left.
That was about my third or fourth poor or bad experience at this location and I’m giving up.

For fast food, the food is decent. The employees have always been super friendly. I came here for breakfast tacos and they gave me the wrong kind. They fixed my order very quickly and threw in an extra one at no charge for the inconvenience. The employee was very apologetic even though I kept telling him it wasn’t a big deal. The drive thru does tend to be a bit of a long wait, but I don’t mind.

It’s Taco Cabana… not a gourmet Mexican restaurant, but for fast food Mexican it’s pretty good. I stop sometimes in the morning if I didn’t have time to fix my normal because it’s so fast to whip through. You can get 2 little breakfast tacos for $ 2.36 so it’s super cheap!

This is the worst Taco Cabana on the planet! I only go there when I am desperate for a potato and egg taco. But they even mess that up. I was so excited when they got to Frisco but totally disappointed by the service and the food. The people in there look so unhappy and it reflects in the food and the service.

Do I have to give them even one star? We were looking for a breakfast place in Frisco. We are from out of town and not too familiar with the area. We looked in all the shopping centers and could not find any open restaurants at 8:30 in the morning.
Taco Cabana was open so we decided to give it a try, How bad god it be? I have to say this is the very first place where I have been served such crap that I returned it and left. The only item that was OK was the iced tea.
The manager was at the register and was friendly but clueless. He brought the wrong order to our table about 10 seconds after we left the cash register. It would not be hard to figure out that they could not prepare our order that fast.
Anyway, we ordered breakfast burrito combos. The only thing in a combo is the burrito and a drink. No sides. They deliver it to the table on a serving tray with the burritos wrapped in foil. No plate, just a foil wrapped burrito.
I was hungry and was hoping for something eatable. From my reviews you can see I am usually easy to please. I opened the foil and the grease ran out of the wrapper and onto the table. The tortilla was old, tough and cracked. I thought this was a complete joke. I carried the grease dripping mess back to the kitchen and we left with our drinks.
I cannot believe this place is actually in business. I have never had such crap, anywhere! I would avoid this place unless you want to waste your money and your health!

Been to this location twice. Both times, inadequate service. Just bad. And both times, MY FRIGGIN ORDER WAS WRONG!!! The first time I didn’t find out til I got to work to eat, opened my bag and noticed it was wrong. I also said EXTRA salsa but the child working the drive-​thru interpreted it as NO salsa bc that’s what I got… I mean, who eats Mexican without salsa!!! Second time, I checked my bag in the car before pulling off and it was, you guessed it, wrong wrong wrong. Took it inside and management was rather unbothered by the mix up but still got them to make the right stuff. Oh, and another lady’s order inside was wrong too (beginning to see a trend hmm?)
The food is actually pretty good but the crappy attitudes, lack of intelligence to get a correct fast food order (c’mon guys it’s not that hard, really) and long wait times make me not wanting to come back to this location.
Ugh.
