Egg and I brings good food and a generally good service. The place is aesthetically pleasing and has a moder. Look for a breakfast place. They cook the meals up to specifications on how they want it. Now the negative part: well we came in a large party and the out in the meal correctly for everyone except for one. They missed my meal completely and had to put it in last minute. After everyone else finished their meals is when I got mine and I am awkwardly eating mine alone and they keep asking if everything is ok and apologizing for the meal. They then give you a fictional discount. In the end, I go to the one in Addison, and rarely ever plan to go to another. 9⁄10 would not recommend this egg and I. I would go to another location.

Good food and service. I went at an off time and there were very few people there. Good variety to chose from. Food came out quickly

We came here for brunch and I was surprised there wasn’t a line or a crowded parking lot like there usually is on weekends. After our experience, I understand why. It appears they fired all the servers I remember(or they left) and it’s under new management. It’s also under renovations too. –All of our orders came out wrong, with missing ingredients(did not follow menu description), and took a very long time to come out despite it not being busy(I saw about five tables max). –We spent nearly ten minutes trying to get the attention of our server who would avert his eyes/not look in our direction as he walked in/out of the dining area. Even my mom tried to get the attention of a lady busing a table and she ignored us. –Finally, the server came over to check on us and took my so’s omelette, he even remembered what he wanted which means he didn’t check before bringing it out. My so waited 20min for a new one. –I noticed the manager was making the rounds and apologizing to the table in front of us for their order getting screwed up too, which made me wonder what kind of problems they were having in the kitchen. –Server was apologetic later, asked about my meal and I said it was good but was missing ingredients that the menu described. He just agreed and smiled as if he didn’t hear what I said. Huh? Sure, we could have asked to have all of our orders redone, but we had plans for the rest of the day and did not want to be there for another additional 20min after being there for an hour plus. We’ve been coming here for a while on weekends, and they’ve messed up our orders before, but were quick to fix it, and the servers would discount something on the check as a courtesy. When my SO was asked how our meal was, he said«meh» and that did not illicit anything from the cashier. We won’t be coming back to this location ever again. Bad service all around. Do yourself a favor and go to the Plano location. I wish we did.

This place was awesome! We were greeted quickly and the man that showed us to our table was able to to share in great detail what the specials were. Our waitress, Leah, was amazing! She was tentative and quick. Food came out hot and delicious! Will be going back!

I ordered the iced hazelnut coffee and was brought their house blend hazelnut hot coffee. I ordered the lunch combo of Cobb salad and Arizona Turkey with no mayo. The food took longer then it should and there was mayo in my sandwich. Our server only came to take our order, bring our order, and drop off the check. That’s it. The food was ok.

The service was good, but the kitchen seemed very slow to not be very busy. I had the Greek frittata, which was ok but over cooked. My husband had the Cambridge skillet, which didn’t have much flavor. They need to be introduced to salt and spices. We should have stopped at Le Peep on the way!

Short story: yes this spot is a good egg. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food is good to generous portions(adults could share and be fine) coffee is hot and bonus they leave a carafe at the table for self refill, no waiting. Like that. I had the breakfast chili rellenos. Asked for salsa in the side w grits. Grits were perfect creamy consistency. Eggs were a bit hard and warm to cool. For the price of less than $ 10 per entrée served in a warm and bright quiet hub bub sorta place this is a good choice. Does have a large private room for groups. Ideal for those morning networking groups.

Combination of great service and delicious food. The service is prompt and attentive from both the staff and management. The food is quick but fresh. I’m a fan of their blueberry pancake. So large it covers the plate so one is plenty. The coffee carafe being left at the table is an added bonus.

Love this place for breakfast! I am picky about bacon and it’s always cooked right here(I ask for extra crispy). And they have wifi so I can bring my computer and work a bit.

09 Feb 2016. Delicious food, served up hot and fast in a nice clean place. Friendly service and unique offerings — everything made fresh. We enjoyed our breakfast at The Egg and I today. My daughter had the raspberry granola omelet with a scrambled egg and bacon. I expected the pancake to be made with frozen raspberries but they were FRESH! She really enjoyed the pancakes but it was too big to finish. It practically hung off the plate. I had the California scramble, which again expected to be made with frozen spinach and canned tomatoes — but all the veg were fresh! I guess IHOP has lowered my expectations. The California scramble was delicious — three eggs scrambled with fresh spinach, fresh diced tomatoes, onions, garlic, and topped with melted cheese and a half of a ripe avocado. It comes with a buttered English muffin and a generous bowl of FRESH fruit: blueberries cantaloupe pineapple apples and grapes. DELICIOUS! We’ll be back!

Service was great, Samantha was very attentive. I ordered the build your own omlet and side of biscuit and gravy. Eggs were watery and flavorless. The biscuit and gravy were doughy and had no flavor. The gravy tasted like it came from a bag. My wife ordered french toast, it was very good and her eggs as well. Too much commercialism for me.

Pancakes are giant. I had a chicken sandwich that was loaded with Bacon and avocados. It was absolutely delicious. The bacon is fantastic here. There service not so much. I went with a large group and they never could figure out the check. Services is slow for big party. I would go again, but advise not going in with a large party.

The only thing I found to be great about this place is the service. The food is just not good, it falls very flat for me and really is no different than going to IHOP. With so many other great options in the area I don’t see myself returning.

THIS is the way breakfast is done! Outstanding pancakes, waffles, you name it. My wife & I discovered this place over the summer and it’s become our favorite place for breakfast. Menu is different, with a lot of variety. Wait staff is friendly & efficient.

Good breakfast. Bacon was very crispy. Blueberry pancakes and waffle were excellent. My husband’s waffle had a moldy raspberry on top but that is forgivable. Sevice was excellent. My sunny side up yolks were weak and popped so that was sad. Wait was only 10 – 15 minutes for 2 people which is awesome for a Sunday in Frisco. I would come back but I like Starwood Café better and it is closer to my house.

1st and LAST time. Rude, ruder and rudest. There was BACON found in the VEGETARIAN Benedict. The ‘manager’ came over and meekly apologized. She took it away and I didn’t order anything else. They didn’t remove it from the bill so I asked them if they expected me to pay for the half-eaten bacon-containing-‘vegetarian’-dish and 3 employees at the cash register all looked at me confrontationally when the ‘manager’ finally muttered, ‘Oh, I forgot to remove it’…it seemed they were just waiting to see if I would just pay for their mistake and then were irritated when I wouldn’t. After paying for the 4 other meals and receiving change, I kindly thanked the 3 employees who were at the cash register and not one of them replied back but rather glared at me while I walked back to the table to leave a tip for the waitress, who I have to add was very nice and we had no issues with her service but due to the entire experience I can only leave 1 star. So in other words, I said, «thank you» and they all just looked at me with blank faces and no reply. Creepy and rude! 1 person in our party got sick 2 hours after too. She swore it was from the food but who knows…

Loved the food here, I was a little concerned with the reviews, but decided to give it a shot anyway. I had the Parisian eggs Benedict, it was pretty good, I asked for the eggs to be cooked hard, and they were still a little too soft for my taste. But the croissants were soft and the ham was super good! Hubby had the strawberry banana waffle, this was AMAZING, I’m definitely getting this next time we come. Waffle was cooked perfectly, not too hard, and not too soft. Flavor was excellent! We ordered a side of grits, and OMG, they were awesome! The best I’ve ever had! Our waitress Danica told us they were having a really good«grit day». Overall a really great place, Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the dining area was clean. I took off a star because my eggs weren’t cooked as I requested, and they are a little pricey.(Ex. A pancake by itself it 5.89, but it is pretty big. A side of sausage, which include 2 pieces is over $ 3.00) For our two entrees, two drinks, a side of sausage, plus a pancake to go, our total was $ 37.69. Will be back for sure!

Egg & I is my favorite brunch place, as you can see from my check-ins from all over DFW. Great selections of various types of breakfasts, and for those who aren’t the breakfast type, they also serve lunch items during the entire operating hours. Some of my favorite items are the crab cake Benedict, the vegetable Benedict, Huevos Racheros, pineapple coconut pancake, waffles, pancakes! Their grits are great as well as the ranch potatoes, and their hot sauce is wonderful. And the coffee! It’s not 5 stars because every single time I go, the iced tea tastes like chemicals, which I point out every time, but it’s never quite fixed when I bring it up, even when they remake it. Everything else is perfect.

Worst breakfast ever. It took 30 minutes to be served and when the orders came they were all wrong. I had veggie Benedict and the egg was crispy, veggies cooked to paste and potatoes cold and dry. The muffin that I asked be left off was not. Overall tasted like sawdust. The other orders were equally bad. After telling the waitress she said oops. But asked twice if everything was ok. Never go back!

Went to the Egg and I back in November. Will definitely not set foot in there again. Not because the food was average at best and not even because they had a hard piece of something in their potatoes that broke my tooth… They are getting one star from me for treating their customers the way they did after I broke my tooth at their restaurant. I immediately called the manager to see the broken tooth and the hard foreign object that broke it and was in the potatoes. She took a report and I took pictures. Their insurance decided that it’s not their fault and denied paying the cost of the root canal and crown I had to get because the tooth could not be saved otherwise. So if you like average food, go eat there. If you care about your teeth make sure to look for foreign objects in your food because they accept no responsibility for something that is their fault.

4 stars for consistency, hustle and service. Okay, first of all, addressing some of the other reviewers who are looking for«spectacular» or «better than they could make at home»… Um, who can’t make good scrambled eggs at home? If you want fancy expensive brunch with foie gras crepes in a starfruit purée, there are places in town for that. This is an affordable breakfast café and that’s their thing. I personally like having someone else make me breakfast. That said, the food is consistently good, and the staff is consistently attentive and friendly. I have eaten here probably 6 – 8 times and always had a good experience. They really knocked it out of the park on our last visit… the servers were slammed but everyone was working well together and they handled the rush well. One minor pick about our last visit is that they had some kind of problem with the credit card system, or someone was quibbling over their charges — and in the time it took the hostesses to deal with it, there were about 10 parties lined up and winding through the restaurant waiting to pay. Next time, call a manager over and keep your floor clear and your foyer moving. But yes, in the words of the Governator, «I’ll be back», many times.

Good service. Good food. I will be back. I ordered the Corned Beef and Hash. I substituted grits for the English Muffin. Corned beef was amazing! Salty and delicious. The grits were bland and I wouldn’t order them again. Overall, I had a great breakfast and I will be back.

We love the breakfast here. Apple cinnamon pancakes and egg deluxe sandwich are yummy. I love that the kids pancakes are whole wheat. I am sure the chocolate chipper pancake is not healthier than ihops funny face pancakes but I feel like they have less sugar. I would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for something different than the usual fare of rooty tooty pancakes.
