ISH is Gone!!! Smoothie Boost is now under new ownership, the new owners name is Paul. He has great customer service and an even better product. Yesterday I got the Strawberry Raspberry Smoothie and it was great! Filling and tasty!

i used to work at Boost Smoothie, and quit because of what I witnessed. I attempted to notify the health department(which is another story in it’s own, and easier said than done). Anyways, I saw a delivery service driver come into Boost smoothie, and say that it was the wrong smoothie that had been ordered. The person who ordered the smoothie was sick, took a taste of it, and had the delivery driver bring it in to exchange it. ISH, the owner, proceeded to put the contaminated smoothie back in his blender, added a few ingredients, and then give it right back to the delivery driver. The delivery driver said, «that’s disgusting, I told you this person is sick who ordered this, and you just put it in your blender» Just one example above. But the bottom line is, ISH doesn’t wash anything with soap what-so-ever. There isn’t even any soap back there behind the counter. It is completely unsanitary. I was so disgusted working there. Every one of the little white jars that he has behind the counter which are labeled, «extra’s» which you pay extra for, such as women’s health supplement for example — all the supplements that you pay extra for… They are all BROWNSUGAR. «Turbanado» which he labels on his menu is just brown sugar. Ish is a crook — he stole my tips that I worked for, and I’ve seen him scam his customers time after time. I wish I had been successful with the health department, because I want this place shut down. I cannot say enough negative things about ISH. Please do the community some good and do not go to Boost smoothie — this place needs to be shut down.

I went here the other day to get a smoothie because it’s closer to my house than any of the other smoothie places(this still doesn’t mean«close» since I live way out in the NW part of the county though). The owner was the only one working and at the same time was speaking with his wife in Iran via Skype: apparently she had to return to Iran to help her family who is still there or something. I asked the owner if he had anything with coconut on the menu, and he said he could make whatever I wanted. So I asked for something with coconut and strawberries. .. what he came up with did have a sllight coconut flavor but was very watery and a blue-green color! He said«oh, there were some blueberries left in the blender». .. seriously. That’s what he said. When I paid, I was surprised this Halloween-worthy brew was costing me seven dollars but it was. .. his wife started saying something on the computer and he responded in Persian so I just paid and left. Then, thinking it over, I realized that I did not want this awful smoothie and took it back. The man was very nice about it, taking it back and making me a brand new smoothie, which, this time I chose to go with one he actually had on the menu. It was better, but far, far, too sweet. And I have a sweet tooth, I really do, but please: the seven dollars are probably to offset his expenses in buying gallons of honey… I never finished the second smoothie, either. During both smoothie-making incidents, dude seemed distracted about his wife being in Iran. .. I can understand that, if my family was in Iran I would be really concerned too. He has my empathy and I wish his family godspeed and safe passage. However, I think he was too distracted perhaps to make the smoothies, at least that’s the benefit of the doubt I will provide him, instead of saying everything’s just gone Pete Tong over there and dude doesn’t know how to make smoothies or something. I wish him and his family the best. .. I just hope they get things together. Also, he did offer me the sketchy smoothie deal like Diana mentioned in her review too, though I declined it and said I wasn’t(fingers crossed) in town very often. I will stick to Tropical Smoothie from now on, even though it means driving all the way to south 34th Street.

Dorky kid is gone. The husband of the nice lady who runs the OTHER store is now running this store. So now I can go to whichever store the urge sends me to. Huzzah!

Delicious smoothies, though I’m still holding out hope that a Jamba Juice will crop up soon. I agree with April O.; the smoothies are full of fruit(decent selection of fruit, too) and none of that flourescent fruit-flavored sugar syrup that looks like radioactive waste.

My favorite smoothie joint in town. Love it so much that I have a smoothie here everyday for breakfast. The owners are are some of the most compassionate people I’ve met.
