Imagine

I went into Imagine once last summer. The signs informing me of a sale invited me in. They boasted items 50% off, but nothing was really that affordable.
I was the only customer in the store and the clerk greeted me and that was it. I was actually glad that she did not offer her services because once I saw the prices I knew the items were not for me.
I wasn’t really interested in the merchandise (clothing, accessories) so I left shortly after, but based on other reviews, it’s worth a look!

I think that this is a great shop! I love to come in there and either talk to the people who work there and or look at and or buy jewelry! They have fun items. and I always love to look! The clothing is very nice and they sell handbags, clothing, jewelry, scarves, winter hats, designers some local and some not. they also sell unique pieces and they are always looking for cool items for their store! They have many nice items here. one of their local artists is Mindy Lam who makes beautiful beaded pins, handbag wraps, necklaces, and more!
It is a little pricey. but, they have really wonderful things each time that I come in there! One other thing is that they also sell leather wraps and other cool bracelets for the wrist. some that resemble the Chan Lu Beaded bracelets, but, for a much lower cost and they look JUST as GREAT! So, whenever you happen to be at the Rio shopping area. come and check it out!

I absolutely love boutiques that don’t have a false, overly pretentious air and carry unique finds that are priced appropriately. Imagine is all of those things and more.
I stopped in in the early fall after reading about their great selection of jewelry in a local magazine. I ended up buying a pair of designer stretch jeans I’ve never heard of that fit me perfectly and a fabulous plaid fedora. I found the store to be a little small but perfect for that quick buy when you want to avoid the mall.
Side note– I left my jacket in one of the chairs. When I went back, the sales girl had already closed the store but immediately opened the door and returned my coat with a huge smile as if I was a VIP. I liked her attitude when she was ringing me up because she was professional and not pushy but engaged me in conversation as if I were a regular customer. Awesome!

I am going to refrain from giving Imagine a fifth star until I actually visit the store. I spent probably at least an hour with the ladies at Imagine at the District Sample Sale last night.
While they had some great merchandise I was MOST happy with the quality of service I received from them. The ladies, one of whom I believe was the owner, Nancy were constantly pulling things for us to try, making suggestions, helping us style things, etc. All I received from the other boutiques were icy up-​and-​down stares and shoving around (so they could help their regular customers, I guess). Ended up spending under $ 400 on a silk Nicole Miller tube dress, a silk Christopher Deane tunic dress, a bamboo (!) Hope sheath, and a Black Halo top.
If the Imagine staff can be that helpful in a non-​air-​conditioned, tiny corner of chaos at the District Sample Sale… I can’t imagine what a lovely experience visiting the store will be. I am going to be sure to utilize the $ 25 coupon they gave me soon!
