Starbucks

The baristas/​customer service here is great. My family and I live in the neighborhood and stop in often. The baristas always greet us with a smile and a friendly conversation. I usually visit with my three kids and the baristas always talk to them too and make sure they leave happy! They have even helped me make the free water cups for the kids and by opening the doors, which is huge when you have a stroller, lol. The space is a little small for the busy neighborhood, but the customer service definitely makes up for it!

This once hidden gem, has become battle-​ridden with the onslaught of teenagers on the weekends, especially after the premier of a based-​on-​a-​novel movie centered around pitting child against child in a dystopic future where 12 districts work grueling and laborious hours to feed the ever growing glutenous and consumer based capital slowly choking on its own capitalist excess. In this 3 part novel, 4 part movie series, a shining beacon of hope, Katniss Everdeen, guides and inspires a rag tag group towards future filled with hope. Jenna, not unlike Katniss also leads an unlikely crew as they battle to similarly improve their own futures. Kudos, Jenna. Kudos.

Stayed the night across the street and the Marriott and went in slightly before closing. They barista at the counter was yelling at me to hurry up and all I was trying to do was purchase a You Are Here Mug. He was plan rude and disrespectful to a customer and I’m just thankful he doesn’t work at my local Starbucks!
Went back in the morning and the staff was a little nicer. Couldn’t figure out the correct order but at least he kept trying.

Ugh… Worst location in MoCo… I’ve been here several times and turned away because they don’t have cold brew coffee… Which is on their menu by the way… It’s like no one here wants to do their jobs. Every other surrounding location delivers except this one and unfortunately it’s closest to my house.

I’m a regular at this location. It’s located right outside of the movie theater across from the Marriott on the boardwalk. Service is usually pretty good and wait time is very reasonable on weekday mornings.

I’ve been a regular/​daily Starbucks customer (Gold) for the past three years, and I have to say that this location is hands down the best I’ve ever come across. I visit here frequently (3 – 4 times a week) and my experience over the past year plus has been nothing but exceptional. The staff is super friendly and the management practices and policies are very customer friendly. If you ever wanted Starbucks to set a standard on how it treats customers, this location should be the benchmark. The space inside is limited, and it could get pretty crowded at times, but the staff manages this location with extremely effectively and friendly. Kudos to the manager and their super friendly staff. Keep it up!

I love Starbucks and this one is by far my favorite one in my area. The service is very fast and the employees are very nice. The seating is great and they have really comfortable seats which feel great after walking around the river and all of the shops and restaurants nearby. I come here with my friends all the time and I’ve had the best Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher out of any Starbucks here and it’s a lot better than the nearby one in Barnes and Noble as well as the one in Target.

You know those days when you want to try something different? Well, I had an interesting experience today at the Starbucks. My new friends Renee and Jessica, we’re very very helpful in selecting a new drink for me to try. I wanted t but I also wanted something not too sweet but caffeine, not coffee. They helped me try something new with the cool lime refresher with the green mint tea. It tastes awesome and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Not only was that a really cool a display of knowledge, but they delivered that with incredible customer service. I genuinely felt taken care of today and I will return to this Starbucks in particular for that same customer dedication.

This is one of the lamest Starbucks I’ve ever visited! Visit was on 10/​14/​2011, was traveling, never had a chance to finish review.

I got the best skinny vanilla latte I have ever had in my adult life at this Starbucks. Staff is friendly, place is clean. Can get a little crowded, but that’s Starbucks for ya. I always have a pleasant experience when I stop here. My favorite thing to do is go next door to Krispy Kreme for a donut and then here for coffee. Perfect combo.

Pretty good for a smaller Starbucks in a very busy entertainment district. Not much room inside, a few tables outside, but otherwise the same layout of coolers and coffee you’ve come to expect. We were able to get our coffees and leave only slightly deafened from the loud racket inside.
My wife’s skinny caramel cappuccino was very good. I think she’s going to switch to these from latte.
If there is no street parking, try the parking deck around the corner.

yes, I’m biased, because it’s Starbucks. Funny story: last week the machine broke and they were out of hot water for the entire day! Seriously they had to deal with an entire day without functioning hot water for coffee other than espresso. The employees and I were laughing about it today!

I used to go this location when my office was right next door. It’s a small location tucked in along the sidewalk leading to the AMC Loews Theatres. A better location would be right inside by the theaters themselves? There is a huge circular area that used to be home to an ice cream store which would be PERFECT…
I will be indebted to this location because they were the ONLY ones that had a supply of the «all you can drink» tumblers that SBUX had on promotion last January!
Oh yeah, the service has always been good to me! Maybe the suit helps and I look important? HA HA!

Nice and friendly staff — typical Starbucks.

Not sure what other folks were talking about with regards to the lack of service here. I visited 3 or 4 times and had no issues. Three stars cause I am just not a true Starbucks fan. It is just okay but works especially when I am on travel.

I am not coming back to this location. I order my usual venti vanilla rooibos tea and take a seat. When I realize I have forgotten to ask for soy, they try to charge me $ 0.60. Are you kidding me? It’s not like I’m from Mars. Soy is a complementary alternative to milk or cream. Had I remembered the soy in the first place, it would have been included in the ridiculously priced $ 2.60 cup of tea.
The staff are surly and have a sense of entitlement. YOU WORK AT STARBUCKS. One barista came out to the seating area to meet his girlfriend and caress her butt. No, I’m not kidding. I just want a cup without the drama, PDA, or attitude.

Okay, this location is my most favorite one hands down no questions asked!
Service is always SO friendly and they definitely know what they’re doing when they’re making drinks :)
I work right down the street, so I frequent this location whenever I need my caffeine fix (which is a lot more often than I’d like to admit) and they never do me or anyone else wrong. The baristas are always so so nice and they do remember almost everyone by face which is a plus. Rahul and Jacob are definitely the sweetest!
Blended drinks are always great; purrfect coffee and expresso is never burnt! Other locations do have that problem, but not this one. I promise :)
If you’re ever confused about what to get, just ask. They haven’t steered me wrong once, and might even mix up somethin special for ya!

My BF work in the area, so when I drop him off I go to this starbucks… Lets start with SKIP this starbucks. On Monday ¹⁰⁄₂₁ I ordered a VENTI Caramel Macchiatto… I get the cup and it seemed lighter then usually but was about to be late to work so I leave and get to work, only to find that my VENTI is not so VENTI. Its a grande in a VENTI cup… UMH OK?! Didn’t I pay for it to be a venti? At first I wasn’t going to say anything but felt very gypped that ¼ of my cup was empty. No caramel sauce. I called the store and had to wait 5 min for for the workers there to figure out who was gonna handle the phone call. 5 minutes of the manager and the employees saying hello to each other as I waited silently listening to this go on. Finally someone screamed into the phone that they all should hang up because they were handling the situation.
I speak to the manager and he apologizes for not getting the correct beverage. He states to come back in and give them my name and that they will make me another VENTI order. The next day I stop by there to get my fixed beverage and the guy say he will handle it. Another person brings me a grande beverage after I told him it was a venti. Silly me I didn’t think to look into the cup or taste it as it took them awhile to handle the customers in front of me and I was not about to be late AGAIN! I get to work and take a sip, excited to drink my favorite drink. Boy was I disappointed. The coffee taste terrible. It had hardly any milk in it, tasted like BURNT espresso and def had not caramel or vanilla syrup in it. You could tell they messed it up on purpose for me complaining the first time. Which is fine because I will NEVER go to that starbucks again nor will I recommend them.
They lack customer service and are more worried about chit chatting with each other or their friends. They do remember their regulars but made coffee without asking and the regular wanted to change his order and felt bad because they had jumped the gun.
Customer service training is needed along with training on how to make drinks. Because my coffee tasted like burnt sour espresso with a dash of milk. Not good business.

One of four Starbucks in Washingtonian and this is the one I’ve visited the most.
No complaints, but lines can be long even at 10 am!
