I’m obsessed and my teenaged sister is also obsessed. We always order the chicken shawarma plate. That sauce is one of a kind. I get extra sauce and keep it in my fridge. My lil sister only hangs out with me after I agree to take her to Best Shawarma. LOL. But make sure your salad isn’t soggy if you go in late. The older lady that runs the register isn’t the friendliest person but I’ve seen her smile once so I know she has a heart in there. LOL. Despite how mean she comes off, she makes me feel guilty for not living a tip. But, I also feel bad leaving a tip for someone that appears to be that mean, when I can just give a better tip to that super friendly guy making my iced earl grey tea. The guys that work there are all friendly and super cool but it may be because I got to know them as a regular. Never used the bathroom. Either eat outside on the chairs or take it to go. Food is pricier than I would like. Would expect this plate to go for $ 7/$ 8, not $ 12.

Definitely not the best! They put a strange pink creamy sauce on their sandwiches which didn’t have any real flavor. If they had used Elmer’s glue at least it hold the wrap together better… U get a general sense that they dont clean or invest in upkeep of the dining area… So u have to assume that its not too clean in the kitchen… I wouldnt come back after my first and only visit.

Best Shawarma has our entire family hooked & we all agree that it is well worth the price !! My husband & I feel at this point of our lives we will not settle for anything, especially when it comes to food !! Our kids ages range from late twenties, mid-twenties & late teens & we have tried so many other Kabob places & «Best» is very fitting !! We have tried other Kabob places referred by our friends & Co-workers saying we could save a few bucks & then have regretted trying them & keep going back to Best Shawarma, I think we finally learned our lesson. The portions of the Combination plates are huge & besides apart from the great food everyone is so welcoming & when I call in my Order they already know what I’m ordering & it is always ready when they say it is. I am very critical & picky when it comes to food & if you at least try once the #12 Chicken Breast combination plate you will be hooked too !!

This is probably the worst shawarma place I’ve ever been to. The beef didn’t taste anything like beef. I have no idea why did they name them selves«Best Shawarma», there is nothing to be considered as the best. I tried to drink Coca Cola but it didn’t taste like Coke but soda with no flavor. I would not recommend this place. Café Bravo on Glenoaks is 10x better and cheaper!!!

I always feel uncomfortable dining in places I don’t feel like I belong. Generally, these types of places don’t cater well to people not of their same ethnicity. That said, I didn’t feel unwelcome but I sure did feel out of place. However, the food was very yummy and PLENTIFUL! We took home what we couldn’t consume in one sitting. If I visited this area again, I’d dine here a second time.

My friends introduced me and popped my Armenian cherry! What I ordered: Pork plate I have to say the sauce that they put on top of the meat is crack or something cause it compliments the meat very well where it’s not too overpowering. LOVE the fact that they have hummus which comes with pita bread(so soft and delicious) and a side of salad. Everything that they served tasted amazing! Will for sure be back here to try their wraps! =)

I think it’s my first time here. And the only reason I came was because they have outdoor seating and since my doggie was with me this was very accommodating. The lady at the cash register was so nice she even gave me a little bowl of rice for my little guy. I only wish they had more parking. But people move in and out quickly so it’s not a big deal. Will definitely come back!

So far, this is definitely the«Best Shawarma» we’ve tried in Glendale! There’s many places around the Glendale-Burbank area where you can find good Middle Eastern food; but when it comes specifically to Shawarmas, this is probably one of the best ones. The stuffed grape leaves are also pretty good!

I have been here more than 20 times so far within the last 3 or 4 years. I believe they changed their owner again recently. So far i think they had 3 owners changed. Food is almost same as before except the prices went up somewhere from 8.99 to 12.99 on beef lula and others. The most recent visit, I made a to go order and it was the same cook who made from before. The problem starts when the cashier lady use a bare hand and mix rice with butter. Yes, she is a cashier so she touched cash, and credit cards. The problem doesn’t stop there… now she is tasting some meat if its ok or whatever with her bare hand again… hmmm… I guess we are going to stop coming here because everytime we come, the price is up, and its really getting dirty everywhere. No more…

My go to place whenever I didn’t get a chance to pack lunch. Full of flavor and just right for the buck! Mediterranean yumminess right here in Glendale.

Bathroom is dirty and it smells terrible. Toilet is crusted with piss… floor is sticky. BARF I think the owner needs to give up. Or start over. Hygiene! It’s important. Food was okay. Wouldn’t come back. Customer service was not the best. No smiles no hellos. It’s ok don’t need it karat don’t eff up my food.

I went there twice. I’ve ordered the lamb wrap(around $ 8,) the lamb plate(around $ 11,) and French fries(around $ 3.) The lamb and the sauce are absolutely delicious. The wrap is a bit on the small side, so I think it’s totally worth the few extra dollars to get the plate, since you also get a side item and a delicious salad. The reason I did not give 5 stars is for couple of reasons, with the food. Although you get a humongous portion, the French fries should be only called fried potatoes. They were limp and bent over, with no crispiness. I don’t know if this is Armenian style French fries, but it’s not what I wanted. The other thing is the hummus, which tasted only of chick peas, which is not my favorite flavor. Now, I love hummus, and order it whenever I can, but I only love it if I can taste the garlic, lemon, and tahini. I couldn’t taste any of these flavors in Best Shwarma’s hummus. Overall, I love this place, and will return.

We came here after a night at Equinox. We didn’t know what to eat and we saw the good reviews on Unilocal. The customer service isn’t good here. So if you’re looking to come to a place that has friendly workers, don’t come here. We walked in we were still trying to decide what to order. We were looking at the menu and the guy at the register did not ask us if we’ve been here before, if we had any questions, nothing. I asked him what Lula was and all he said was«meat.» Um, okay? What kind of meat? Anyways, onto the food… We ordered the Lula combo, which consisted of a bed of rice, two skewers(1 beef and 1 chicken I think since all he said was«meat»), a large roasted green pepper, a roasted tomato, hummus, salad, and their bread that was super thin and tasteless. The portion was small, the meat flavor was okay, I think I like the chicken better than the beef. When we were done and walked out, we did not even receive one«thank you.» So, overall, I would not come back again. There’s no point in supporting a small business that doesn’t really appreciate your business and the food was just OKAY.

When you have to declare yourself the«BEST» of anything, it usually means you are just trying to boost your credibility and you really aren’t the best and sometimes far from it. Unfortunately this was true for Best Shawarma because they really aren’t the«BEST» at anything. My group of friends and I were searching for late eats around the Glendale area and we stumbled upon Best Shawarma on Unilocal so we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in we weren’t greeted and the staff looked almost annoyed when we stated that we were eating in and not ordering out. After asking some questions regarding their menu items in which they weren’t very helpful with, the 4 of us decided to share an order of the Lula combo and Kakob combo. On their website the entrees are described as the following: Lula Combo Kebobs — a generous amount of giant pieces of beef and chicken lula kebabs marinated, skewered and charbroiled. Served with your choice of rice, salad and hummus. Kabob Combo Plate — a generous amount of giant pieces of kebabs marinated, skewered and charbroiled. Served with a rice, salad and hummus. It took awhile to get our order and when we finally got it I was surprised at how tiny the portion sizes were. They literally gave us about 4 pieces of meat for each kabob and it wasn’t generous pieces in any way. The salad and hummus were also tiny in portions. The taste of the kabobs were good and the meat was juicy and tender but I can’t justify the price with the amount of food we got. I feel like we could have gone to Zankou and gotten so much more bang for our buck.

I came after my friend kept raving about this place. We walked in and it was empty, the cashier wasn’t very pleasant or friendly. That was an immediate bad impression. But I hoped the food would make up for it. But it didn’t. I ordered the falafel plate. The sign said plates came with two sides and rice, I wast asked what sides I wanted. I got my plate, it was falafel on a bed of salad, hummus and tatziki as my side, no rice. The food was mediocre, at best. The falafel were dry and grainy, the hummus was also grainy and a little bland. Maybe the shawarma is good but, I won’t be going back to find out.

A good shawarma joint but actually not the best, not even close to the best one in Glendale! An overpriced in my opinion(a food business insider), their chicken sandwich sized large which I don’t admire in shawarma’s, but It tastes good with that. Their sauce is good, their fries(Middle Eastern style that comes thick) is the best thing they offer. Other than that, the rest of what we tried here were really mediocre. Another thing: the employee on the cashier always seems upset or angry!

I am a hospice nurse so I travel alot, mostly to places Im not familiar of, One night I ended up in the neighborhood, been craving anything w curry, greek or indian food. Checked the Unilocal feed and boom! Shawarma? Lets goooo. I grew up eating shawarma, its also a popular filipino street food. Hauled ass and got there quick, greeted by the owner very nice guy. Ordered the lamb shawarma for here. We got to talking about boxing and it turns out one of his friends and loyal customer is the belt maker for boxing so he gave me some inside scoop about the pacquiao and mayweather fight, and a week later he was right. The food was excellent, man that was good. He gave some stuff to try also. All I know is when I get back to that area, thats where i’ll be but this time Im ordering for two. Its a small place but it feels genuine. A pure gem.

With mini kabob closed and my desire for some flavorful Mediterranean I found this was the only place opened at 10am. I walked into and wasn’t greeted but went ahead and placed my order. The service was stiff and cold just like the chicken shawarma I had eaten. The meat was crispy but not in a good way. Chicken was stiff, dry and old and wondered if I had said chicken jerky? In the end I didn’t finish my plate and was really disappointed. I never had bad mediterranean food and especially not in Glendale where the residents are primarily. I will not be returning here and will wait the extra hour for mini kabob to open
