I love el pollo loco but this location has failed the el pollo loco standard. I ordered the 500 calorie chicken and shrimp tostada. Instead I received a chicken shrimp salad– clearly missing the tostada and black bean ingredients. After speaking the cashier she questioned whether I had mistakenly mixed up my order, when it clearly states on the receipt a chicken and shrimp tostada. Finally when my order was re– done, I questioned the order to ensure the black beans and tostada were present. The manager rudely responded it’s on the bottom. No eye contact, No customer service, no questioning how they could improve. Ruined my el pollo loco experience. I do not recommend this location

The worst customer service we had ever experience with that Fernanda girl who is in the drive thru. She needs to get more training. We bought 8 pcs family meal and we had asked for pico de gallo, c’mon use your common sense 8 pcs and she only gave us 2 of their smallest container. She rolled her eyes the minute we asked for more and gave us bad facial expression instead of asking if we needed something else. Fernanda, a piece of advice for u, one of the criteria in excellent customer service is that u ask your customers at the end if there is something else they need. We were hoping that Sam the manager will take care of this matter.

Worse pollo loco I’ve ever been to and it’s sad I really like pollo loco but not this one. I walk in there’s no one in line there’s two workers one named Israel? And the other I think was preli not sure. Well they ignored me for a good 5 min I was the only one in line. Once they did take my order. They told me there was no chicken? So El pollo loco has no chicken. That’s just poor management at that point as I also saw about 3 workers in the dining area eating. It was 8:30 not even an hour away from closing time. That’s just horrible. I always overlook the salsa bar being very unkept since it’s the closest one to where I live but I just rather not even come here.

I don’t like writing negative reviews, but this place is absolutely filthy. Chicken bones on the ground, trash juice all over the sidewalk, piles of trash where they are cooking… I was quite honestly HORRIFIED when I walked in. I love El Pollo Loco but this location is just not cutting it. Sad to say they would NOT pass a health inspection if someone were to drop by at random. Yikes.

If you want to repeat your order 5 times at a distracted drive through employee who can’t hear well or multitask… only to find out that for some reason this location’s tacos aren’t uniform to 2 other el pollos you frequent then almost chip your tooth on the 3 pieces of bone/cartilage in your two tacos then this is the place to go. This place sucks, customer service sucks, food sucks. 09⁄10 times something is wrong with my order.

You can’t even really call el pollo loco fast food. I mean can you really compare fresh grilled chicken to garbage like McDonald’s and Burger King? Too bad they got rid of the corn on the cob though

I tried this place a few days ago. I always wondered what El Pollo Loco was right since I see them everywhere. The restaurant itself was clean and decent. The service was prompt and polite. However, the food is not particularly tasty. I ordered the chicken and bean salad and was surprised to see the overwhelming amount of rice on my dish. I was expecting more chicken and more salad. The chicken tasted well, but the rest of the ingredients did not taste like much. I know it’s fast food and one cannot expect too much, but I think I would rather go to a taco truck next time.

It’s just another franchise. What can I say? It’s not as good as other EPLs that I’ve been too, but it’s convenient. I like that they have a drive thru for them lazy days. Just feel like this restaurant cuts a bit of corners. Been to the one by my moms and this one just does not compare. I most definitely go here because it’s cheap and convenient.

Quick service and clean restaurant. I left my wallet at home and only had a few dollars in my pocket but that was good enough to fill my belly with the chicken bowl. Healthy treat with rice, chicken, and beans. The salsa is always fresh and they keep it well stocked.

I love Pollo Loco! Their food is somewhat healthier than other fast food restaurants, and the food tastes phenomenal. However, ever since moving to Glendale a few years back, I’ve been a client of this particular location. Let me start by stating that I’ve been to many locations, and I actually had another Pollo Loco restaurant close to where I use to live. Yet, the Pollo Loco here is by far one of the worse restaurants I’ve been when it comes to their service. Like other customers have stated. Many of the staff are not friendly, and they consistently mess up the drive thru orders. I’ve learn to double triple check my orders whenever I order from here. I love the taste of the food from Pollo Loco, which is why I constantly come here. But if the subpar service does not improve, I will happily drive a few miles down to the next location. Btw, It wouldn’t hurt if you provided us with enough salsa when ordering drive thru. And when I ask for a couple more containers of salsa, don’t look at me like I am asking you for your soul. I understand how you need to downsize inventory to make more profit. But a happy customer will bring you in more business than what you will lose on giving us a bit more salsa. Or at least fill up the containers fully, not half way.

My first time here ever. I was hungry and this place was in my view. I was reading Unilocal reviews while in the drive through line. So I was wondering what to expect when I got to the window. Needless to say it was standard wait time but after I paid and the bag of food was in my car the lady at the window said have a nice day, and I said ok but where’s my Coke? And she looked at me funny like she didn’t know what was up. Then it dawned on her what I asked and she replied isn’t in your bag??? Now that’s a joke cuz the Coke would never be in a bag. But dam you really forgot my Coke??? LOL

Really rude. Lady taking our order kept on her side conversation and laughing, as well as making us repeat it 3 times! Also, Pollo Loco is becoming extremely stingy! Their greed is ruining their image. They hardly put any meat now and are more expensive!

I went there today & asked for a chicken tortilla soup then i was told they didn’t have any. So i asked for a chicken corn chowder & was told they didn’t have that either, that they would have soup in about 30 minutes. So i ordered a double chicken WET burrito & what I got was a dry burrito… No sauce on top… how hard is it to follow the menu??? This place is horrible!!!

I’m giving this location a 1 star review. The ONLY reason they scored this high is because their avocado salsa isn’t watered down, unlike some of the other locations I have visited. Unfortunately, this is the only good thing I can recommend this franchise for. Simply put, nearly every visit that I have had the misfortune to come to this restaurant, I have had to file a corporate complaint because of their service. Being placed in the wrong order in the pickup line after paying has been a constant problem, as well as receiving the wrong order, interminable wait times to order or get my food I paid for or not getting one or more of the items I ordered have been constant problems at this franchise. Sadly, even with the complaints to the corporate office, nothing has changed there in the last year and it doesn’t look like it’s going to change. Drive a little further to another El Pollo loco and save yourself the headache.

2 words: Raw Chicken. Ever since this place got remodeled it’s been an absolute mess. I Bit into my chicken tostada salad and I was chewing on a piece of chicken as if it were a piece of Gum. RAW. I’m seriously hoping I don’t get food poisoning now. I couldn’t call nor go back due to the fact I was on my lunch break & had such a busy day. Everyone you deal with at this location is incompetent– but hey that’s almost everywhere now days. What happened to «respect the chicken».? El pollo loco, I’m Done with you for good. Bye bye

I am an avid El Pollo eater. I usually eat at the one in Burbank(2 – 3 times a week) and never had any issues. I’ve been to this one twice. 0⁄2. 1st visit: chicken was severely undercooked. Nearly not edible. 2nd visit: I ordered 2 items. Got home and they forgot one. I’m a very forgiving person, but how do you miss putting half the order in the bag? Do not support this sloppy location.

I gave it a 3 stars for a few reasons. First, the Manager who took the order didn’t smile nor said thanks at any point of our interaction. Second, the place was kind of dirty. Third and last, there were no napkins on the tables. Finding Waldo is easier than finding napkins at this location. Now for the good things. The leg and thigh portions were bigger than at any other Pollo Loco location. I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me my order. The salsa was fresh and tasty. I mentioned above that I was going to give it a 3 stars but i just remembered something which is going to make me give it 4 stars. The salsa bar was out of lemons and I asked a skinny tall employee for them and he immediately went to the back and brought them right away even though he was about to eat his lunch. He could have told me that he was out to lunch or asked someone else to help me but he went out of his way to bring them himself. I didn’t get his name but I asked another employee and she told me that his name is Edgar. Thank you Edgar for your great customer service. p. s. I asked for crispy fries and they gave me soggy and cold ones. Finally, I noticed, as I was leaving, that an employee started cleaning the floor and tables.
