As an MSU alum, I was super excited to see a Georgio’s Pizza near my work. Great food, great beer and a VERY friendly staff.

Pizza was decent. The service not so much. Over charged for a «Hawaiian» rather that the two-topping(ham and pineapple) BYO I had ordered. It’s only $ 3, but the point is it’s an overcharge. Staff argued with me and insisted I was wrong. It’s clearly priced and detailed in the menu. Not planning to go back. We can get decent pizza and lackluster service for half the price at a number of places.

Never been here before, and I tried the largest deluxe pizza they had. The sauce was very good, although it seemed to be not well covered over the whole pizza. While it was not raw, the center of the pizza was very limp and tasted under cooked. The veggies were chopped so small it was hard to distinguish between the onions and the green peppers. Huge pieces of rectangular sausage was the highlight of the pizza. Maybe bake the pizza longer would help greatly… I actually cooked the pizza in my oven the second day for another 15 minutes, and it tasted much better.

Unfortunately, we ordered a pesto spicy chicken pizza when we meant to order just a plain pesto chicken pizza. The spicy one has frank hots and buffalo sauce… Stuff we didn’t want. We only realized our error after calling Georgia’s and them telling us there’s only a pesto spicy chicken pizza. There was nothing they would do. We called again and asked for the manager who was borderline rude. We said we probably wouldn’t order from them again. His response? «Good to know.» We’ll never order from here again.

They don’t have a description of what is on each pizza online which is just annoying that I have to call and ask, not to mention it’s probably annoying to get phone calls from customers asking these types of things on a busy football Saturday. Then we get our pizza, the spicy buffalo chicken. Which has ranch sauce, buffalo chicken, tomatoes, and celery. Well since I had to call the girl who explained the toppings said buffalo chicken. I imagined grilled chicken, shaken in buffalo sauce. Well I was SO wrong. It was not grilled and it was basically like popcorn chicken that was so chewy and disgusting. I’m not even sure if it was chicken, I legit feel like this had to be grade d meat. The toppings? Tomatoes and celery… Gosh you would think these things were expensive with how little of it came on top of our pizza. The cheese and the ranch were about the only things good on this pizza. Nothing to write home about. Oh and this pizza was a 16 inch for almost $ 30(delivery). Never again.

This location stops serving pizza by the slice after 4pm. This is the whole point of going to Georgio’s. I will know better next time.

I fell into love when I visited friends at MSU. I was thrilled when the Downtown Grand Rapids location opened. However after I was treated this morning at the 28th St cascade location I won’t be going back. I regularly come to this location on Saturday morning specifically at 11am when the slices are fresh and don’t require the reheat. However today I was told that they were not ready to open because of a truck sized order. If an order this large was loading at 11 they had to time to prepare obviously this preparation did not take place. I asked what time they would open and rudely received an «We don’t know». Georgios is good but with places like Licaris, Harmony Brewing and Brick Road Pizza there are other options. I was contacted within 24 hrs and the situation was corrected. This shows me management does care about every customer so I bumped from a 1 to a 3 because the pizza is that good!

Fun pizza parlor with interesting toppings like Mac and cheese or chicken parm. They also have the classics as well. Their normal pizza is okay but where they shine is their gyro pizza! It is a must try and worth the trip to try.

Went to Georgio’s Pizza with a group of guys and it was a phenomenal time. It’s right off 28th Street, and so it’s not too far from Calvin College either. On a normal day, I’d say this place is somewhat overpriced, but we went on a Monday, and on Mondays, they have a deal where they have a 50⁄50 deal. The deal’s specifics is that you order as much as food as you want, and at the end of the meal, you flip a coin. If you guess the side of the coin correctly, your entire meal is free, and if you guess incorrectly, you have to pay the full price of your meal like you normally would. It’s a pretty sweel deal, and so a lot of my friends participate it on Mondays. The pizzas itself are huge. I’d say that the biggest size of the gourmet pizzas will feed 3 – 4 people. I ordered the biggest size for two people(and we’re pretty big guys), and we had leftovers. There are a lot of options for toppings, and each one will run you about $ 16-$ 21, which is a little more expensive than your average Domino’s pizza, but the 50⁄50 coinflip deal is too juicy to turn down. Our group of 8 got the Chipotle Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, and teh Bacon Potato. The Buffalo Chicken one was very very spicy, the Chipotle Chicken was very good, and the Loaded Bacon Potato was good, except for the random big pieces of potato and the exponential amount of bacon. It also tasted a lot better given that we won the coinflip, but it’s still good food even if you lose. Definitely will be back here.

Stopped by here last night on a whim for some pizza. Tried a new specialty pizza. It was a potato bacon pizza with chives. Never had a pizza like it before. If you have to have sauce on your pizza then it’s not for you. But it was GREAT. Already one of our new top pizzas. Will definitely be going back to start trying some more.

Tried stopping here for a slice, but apparently they only do slices til 4. Not sure how this is allowed as this is Georgios(at least the way I remember it from undergrad days in East Lansing). So, we didn’t eat here. I still love Georgios, but definitely recommend the one downtown near Van Andel instead of the one on 28th st.

Not sure where to start. Stopped by with the wife to try it out. Oh, how I regret that suggestion. We ordered a 12″ deluxe pizza and a couple beers. However, I’m not sure what was worse. The fact that the cashier was eating behind the counter and licking her fingers or that the pizza tasted like a frozen DiGiorno. I’m not kidding. The pizza was bad. I actually wanted to leave after my wife pointed out the cashier was licking her fingers, but my wife convinced me otherwise. Definitely a huge let down.

We were not impressed with the pizza here. The concept of buying pizza by the slice is a great idea and we enjoy the Georgio’s downtown but did not find the pizza here as good. The bottom of the crust was a bit done but the dough was not cooked through under the toppings. It was nearly inedible and we did not finish it. It is disappointing that they do not sell slices after 4:00PM. It is part of the charm of Georgio’s– go out and have a fun night and have a slice…

The pizzas are varied and unique at this new place on the southeast side of Grand Rapids. The sauce is more acidic than sweet, making it(I am told) more ‘authentic’ to taste, but I’m not the biggest fan of it.(It wasn’t bad — it just was’t what I was expecting.) They do use very fresh ingredients, even down to fresh mozzerella cheese. The place is also very clean, and staff very friendly. Note: They only do slices until 4pm!
