Great place for breakfast. In a world of ihop and cracker barrel, The Egg Yolk shines as a distinct high quality local alternative. The service is prompt and courteous. I highly recommend!

The food is great but the business is not very well run. If they are busy then there is chaos. There can be multiple open tables but it will take awhile for you to be seated because the bus boy only removes the dishes from the table and the hostess wipes down the tables which she does one at the time in between her other responsibilities. The same hostess actually took our drink order when she sat us while 3 other groups were waiting for tables. I saw 3 groups leave because of the wait even though there were open tables where they could have been seated.

I would have posted a photo of the food but it was too good and I ate it too fast. I had the Veggie delight with a side of jalapeño bacon– delicious all around. They even had gluten free options and a drive up window. I highly recommend this place for breakfast in Gvegas!

A friend and I tried Egg Yolk yesterday as a fluke, honestly. We were about to go to another place to eat and the wait was forever, so we decided to try next door. I’ve always thought that this place only had eggs, given the name and the writing on the window, so I’ve never cared to try it… My mistake! It was AHHH-​MAZING! I got the shrimp and grits and my friend got the pancakes, home-​fries and bacon. Both of us were very impressed and are planning to make this our weekly lunch meeting place now! We both called our husbands and told all of our co-​workers, who I’m sure will be trying it out soon as well. Only suggestion I have is to put daily specials on Facebook or a website and to write that you have a great lunch and kids selection as well as breakfast! Yum!

The food is great however I mostly get them to do takeout for me and the last three times they have always managed to forget something. Before I drive off every time i check my order something is missing. Today for my order I wanted eggs over easy and both were overlooked. I would love to keep going there because the food is great but I don’t want to any longer because of he recent occasions. I wish they would step it up because it does make for a good breakfast but I’m tired of the lousy service. Even when I call in the order it is easy to tell whoever is answering does not want to be there. Sorry management but you guys need to step it up.

This restaurant is highly recommended! Absolutely delicious. It may have had a few service hiccups to work through when they first opened, but wow it’s perfect now. Food came out very wuickubajd service was attentive. I ordered fresh fruit (which was fresh, indeed, not mushy), and to my surprise it came with a yogurt dip. I got scrambled eggs with cheese, and a sweet potato pancake, which was cooked to perfection… Thick and fluffy in the center and a tiny bit crispy around the edges. Delish! Go eat there, you won’t regret it!

Here for the first time. Typical breakfast place, with quick service, variety of breakfast items and my favorite BACON prepared correctly!
Not much else to say except we will be back!

I gave them 3 stars due to the fact the first time we went it was great and this time not so great. The servers are very friendly but the service was very slow. The manager came to the table one time and apologized. He even cam back to look again. My wife’s eggs were undercooked even when we had to wait a while. I was sure they would have offered a bill adjustment since they knew there were problems but nada, nope, nothing at all. Not sure we will be back.

Presentation of the food was bad and the taste was bland. The wait was very long and both meals did not come out at the same time. Even then, it was over 5min wait for the second meal.
The eggs benedict looked great but the eggs were quite under done on the whites. The sausage with the waffle was over cooked and dry.
Coffee was terrible.
I gave 3 stars because the waitress was pleasent & communicative.

Been several times! Fast friendly service! Very reasonably priced! I go on the weekdays before work! Great breakfast.

Great service, food cooked properly, nice selection. Obvoiusly got a new cook/​mngr recently as the quality took an instant upturn. New specails. Way to go. Will definitely return.

Amazing special of the day, fresh tuna salad sandwich with fruit cup and yogurt! Along with a side cup of diced green onions (just in case you don’t like onions they give to you on side without you even asking). Awesome outdoor space with plenty of plugs for charging devices, like I’m charging mine right now! Beautiful sunny day with plenty of shaded tables if needed. Wifi works well. I’ll be back to try their breakfast next time! One of the best cafés in G’ville. Come try it!

The food was fine, when it finally arrived,… The service was slow. Really! In for Sunday brunch and after placing our orders, we had over a half hour wait.

This place is not good at all. I could list them all but the entire experience was a disappointment. They are over priced for what they are giving you. You will be better off going to mcdonalds. (Yes it was that bad)

My wife and I visited for the first time today and had a great breakfast! If you like spicy food you have the try the Jalapeño Bacon! It is great! My wife got the eggs Benedict and liked it as well. The wait staff was very friendly and the owner came to our table and spent a couple minutes telling us his story in the restaurant business. We will be back for sure !

Completely overpriced for what they give you. Nice atmosphere, good service, food was decent. I wanted fresh fruit instead of home fries and that would have added $ 3 onto my already $ 9 omelette. Healthy start breakfast was worth about $ 3 – 4 in any other place, cost $ 8 here. If the food was exceptional I wouldn’t mind paying, but the portions and the quality didn’t justify a $ 25 breakfast. We won’t be returning.

Went here Saturday morning. I ordered the veggie delight which is basically like Eggs Benedict but with tomatoes and mushrooms instead of the ham, and it was delicious. The tomatoes or mushrooms had some seasoning on them which just made the whole dish more interesting; I was bummed I ate it so quickly.
My boyfriend ordered the Greek omelette and a blueberry pancake. He’s a picky eater and asked to add chicken to the omelette. Given that it wasn’t something they even listed under the build your own omelette section the waitress had to quickly check how to write the order but once she did that it was no problem for them to do. And I’m not a huge pancake eater but he seemed to be pleased with the fact the pancakes were fluffy but had a bit of crispyness around the edges in a good way.
Besides feeling a bit too open, the atmosphere was pretty pleasant. The walls are painted a cheery orange which meshed nicely with the wood they have on the booths. I also liked how they had a hostess right at the front door so we avoided the awkward «do we seat ourselves?» moment.

I dont get the negative reviewers. They must be nuts as the staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. if you arent happy here you wont be happy anywhere

Food didn’t come (just eggs and bacon orders) for over forty minutes. No refills in the interim. Then we finally got our food and there was a hair. No sorry. The food was just average. I’d say its possible to get a good meal here. But it’s risky.

Traditional breakfast brunch menu. Well presented commercial food. Not much fresh local faire.
