this is my favorite place to get sushi. a lot of people say it’s over rated but i definitely think the opposite. their crab is always a lot fresher tasting than anywhere else and the cooks are so nice. mari is such a babe too :)

Prices have climbed a bit and portions have gotten noticeably smaller(thinner ahi slices, smaller rice rolls). But flavor is as good as anywhere and there is generally new and interesting presentations to try. The calamari is exceptionally good. I also like seeing everything go by rather than choosing from a written menu.

This was perfectly fine, but things like lack of variety, average quality cuts, and no sashimi options lowers my rating. The girl who checked us out didn’t even know what was on the menu.

For a conveyer belt sushi I cannot complain. Sushi that I have experienced here has always been fresh and tastes great.

Honestly I have been coming to this place for years and I love the food so much. But they need more servers or faster service for drinks. I’m usually done eating by the time I get my drinks. But the sushi is the best that’s why I’ll keep coming!

Affordable. Decent selection on the conveyer on most days, however it would be nice to have some of the tempura rolls on the line like other sushi places I’ve frequented. Ordering them from the menu seems to take forever. There are other menu options for the kids which was nice, but the biggest downfall of this place is the wait staff. They are often understaffed in my opinion, and the waitresses are not attentive at all!!! IF you can get their attention, they seemed bothered and slow. I also wish there was some kind of menu with pictures to illustrate what’s on the conveyer belt. I’ve always found that helpful at other sushi places. I wouldn’t recommend as a great sushi restaurant, but will continue to go as they are close to home and consistent.

The sushi here seemed fresh and there was a nice selection. Everything is on a conveyor belt so the wait staff is not very attentive. But if you don’t really care about being waited on hand-and-foot, then this place is fine. The other reviews were a little too brutal IMO.

The plates were a bit overpriced compared to some of the other places around Portland I’ve been too. Most plates averaging between $ 2.25 and 3.25 each for three pieces of sushi. Although the rolls themselves were okay, there wasn’t much variety, with crab salad showing up in a few variations in most of the rolls that came by. I’ve definitely had better for cheaper. On the plus side: the place seemed clean and the staff was fine. Not great. Not terrible.

Couldn’t have been better timing. We got a set right away and there was unlimited selections. 30 minutes after we sat down there was a full house and people waiting. Food was fantastic. They will do whatever rolls you would like as well as the selections on the carts. Just a bit slow getting drinks.

Horrible sushi, not fresh, terrible flavor. I bet they purchase cheap, bad quality seafood. Meeka sushi has nothing to worry about!

I used to work at this place. When I did the manager Peter was horrible and stole our tips. I quit because of him. I can say I found a cockroach but only 1. They did have cockroach traps in the lockers we used to store our stuff when working so I wasn’t surprised when I seen it. They are not very clean there though. The workers set drinks of their own inside the ice maker in the back. The next manager(gabby) who was my coworker previously denied my service dog entry. It is illegal and I could have taken her to court for it but I decided to be the bigger person. Some people are not worth the time. Especially when the food isnt all that great. I wouldn’t say it’s bad though!

I came on at 4:00 on a Thursday, the place was fully staffed but not even half full of customers. I sat and waited, and waited and waited. I had to ask for water and gluten free soy sauce, which was shoved at me with ill grace(and no I was most certainly not rude when I asked). I asked the person who gave me the water if she could take an order she didn’t have time. No one ever came to take my order. It got two stars because the sushi was decent. Service would be zero stars.

Decent sushi fare. Reasonable prices. No cockroaches. If you see cockroaches or bed bugs, please check and make sure it didn’t come off of you. Been coming here for 5+ years and never had a problem. We always do the Calamari.

Great place if you love cockroaches. Came in here for lunch and been here few times before nothing special but today’s lunch included cockroaches roaming around the table, if you’re into that exotic kind thing — enjoy

Not much variety here. I guess I should’ve followed the stars rating according to Unilocal. Its true. Definitely a 2 out of 5 star rated sushi conveyor belt restaurant. Reasons: lacked unique variety. Pretty much a majority of the specialty rolls had imitation crab salad in it. The sushi plate covers were blurry, worn down and over used. Seating needs to be updated, felt very old and needed some revamping. Felt very bored with the selection they had. Positives: the staff was awesome and very friendly. Including the sushi chefs, caught their glances and they smiled. Servers were great too. Spicy tuna roll okay, decent. Baked mussels, good, flavorful, I would ease up on the amount of sauce they put on there, a little overwhelming. Smoked salmon nigiri with the cream cheese onion sauce was really delightful. Loved their pink ginger and wasabi paste. Imitation crab gunkan, decent. Wouldn’t come again though, unless they did a major menu revamp. good luck.

I moved to Gresham recently and was hoping to be near a conveyor belt sushi joint. Luckily I was and I felt happy… until I ate at the place. Basically if you want cheap sushi, ya got it. Cheap service(understaffed and very slow) and cheap fish. A sit down joint that costs more is far more worth it. Also on the service, my dad and I came in and got barley seated because they didn’t bus literally, I kid you not, the whole bar. The place was dead. We then were ignored for so long my dad had to pour us waters. We then left after another few minutes of no service.

Sushi tracks generally have a bad reputation. At least with me they do. There is something about all that raw fish rotating around on a belt for hours on end that just doesn’t seem right. So when we decided to eat here one afternoon(out of sheer convenience and not wanting to look for another parking spot anywhere) I wasn’t exactly expecting much. I am happy to report it was better than expected. The amount of edamame you get on a plate(the cheapest colored plate I might add) was enough to make this experience worthwhile. I can get that same amount of edamame at a local, more upscale, dining establishment for about 3x the price. And it was good quality stuff too! The sushi was so-so. Nothing that knocked my socks off, but also nothing that required spitting out either. The meal was quick and super affordable. And I’m not gonna lie… it is a little fun to pick the plates off the belt. It reminds me of that train on Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. Except not as creepy. If you are in the area and need something quick and affordable, this might be your spot. I don’t think you’ll leave feeling too upset about your visit. Middle of the road sushi.

The taste is what you’d expect from a conveyer belt sushi bar. I enjoyed the things I had especially the tuna hand roll and the creamy scallop. It was pretty slow so the entire time we were there no new sushi was being put on the belt which was unfortunate. The sushi that was on there seemed old because the plastic domes were clouded over with condensation. Kind of silly that we had to lift them up just to see what was under them. Because of this we had to order a lot off the menu which wasn’t bad because we were about the only ones there. The service was prompt. Price wise it was alittle spendy for what I got. Usually my meal will be 15 bucks for the amount I ate but I think my total was about 25 bucks. Kind of spendy for one person.
