Cracker Barrel is always good as long as we #1 get lucky with a good server & #2 go during the right hours for the freshest biscuits & cornbread!(And before the said«good servers» get cut prob. Between 2 – 5 stay away lol) Good home cooking southern style comfort food, breakfast anytime(did I mention biscuits YUM) & healthy choices available as well, how can you go wrong? This particular trip @ this location was fantastic. I had grilled tenders with brown rice & steamed broccoli. This is always a gamble because you never know when«grilled» is going to turn out«burned» But they were perfect as were my sides. My daughter & her friend both had fried tenders which were on target, one had mac & cheese the other had fries. If you haven’t had C. B mac & cheese you should it’s amazing. Right up there with the biscuits! My husband had the old timers breakfast & was quiet pleased. We got sat, greeted, drinks & had our order taken all in a timely manner & all of our food came out quickly & correct. I think I can say we owe most of our wonderful experience to our server who definitely deserves recognition. Her name was Chelsi J, since a good meal is absolutely nothing without good service(and vice versa) I recommend that if you want a good meal & are worried about your chances at getting a decent server just request her & hope that she’s on that day. I would request her again in a heartbeat but chances are I’ll never be at this location again because we were just passing through the area. My only negative about the store in general would be the restroom needed major cleaning. I kept the 5 star rating because I’m hoping that they were just busy & hadn’t sent anyone in to check it out yet & will clean it up asap… That’s all folks!

It’s Cracker Barrel, so expecting to be wowed wasn’t even on the spectrum, but at least satisfied would have been nice. I got the chicken fireside meal. I’ll post pictures of what they advertised, as opposed to what I received. It looked like my meal was leftover from someone else’s meal. I was thinking it would have some flavor and just be delicious. It fell short in every way. All the food was over cooked, all of it. The corn was mushy, there was no flavor, truthfully, the best tasting thing was the biscuit. For the money I spent on this $ 10, I’d prefer to have gone with my go to of mamas French toast. Three stars for the store really.

A road trip is not a road trip until you have stopped to eat at a cracker barrel and that is a fact. My favorite thing here is the biscuits and apple butter and they give it to you for free so yeah… we are off to a great start. The menu is good old fashion southern cooking. I can honestly make a meal out of the sides which you can do by ordering the veggie plate. The chicken fried chicken is also a good one if you are starving. You always leave cracker barrel stuffed to the gills because their portion sizes are huge. I’ve also found them to be very consistent which is great since I go once every blue moon. The food always comes out pretty quick and the service is always smiling and friendly. Whatever you do, order the apple butter with your biscuits!

Wait staff was super friendly and accommodating! My food came out missing components and she ensured that the order was fixed immediately. She even accommodated my picky child that wanted more fries and gave them to him free of charge. She was very vigilant of us throughout the entire meal and made sure we didn’t have to wait for anything we needed. Also very helpful with questions regarding the local surrounding area. We definitely got service that shows MS hospitality! Another plus is the cute little store that adjourns the restaurant. Eat and afterwards shop a little bit for candies, signs, clothes, etc.

Been here a few times. Usually has been a decent experience. Today was horrible… First we order and the waiter almost spills my coffee over me because he is shaking so bad.(I watched other patrons take there drinks from him because of the same fear) Then our food come; the lady doesn’t say hi… Actually doesn’t even say a word but starts placing pushing the food out in front of us. With our attention on our kids the solid placement of the plate onto the table was the way she announcers her presence. Because of her solid people skills and her obvious joy for her job; imagine her delight when when I informed her that we ordered pancakes and not French toast. 10 – 15 minutes later we get the pancakes for my boys and inform the next lady that the fried apples were missing from the other 2 meals ordered as well as the apple butter we ordered. 10 min go by; haven’t eaten anything other than my grits; why? No fork and waiter has not come by to check on us for 20min. YAYFORCOLDEGGSANDBREAKFASTMEATS!!! We actually had to intercept his attention from another table. I got to stare into an empty coffee cup for 20 minutes and my wife’s empty glass for 10. We had the pleasure of talking to our waiter one more time(3 times total for those who are counting) this time when he placed the ticket onto my plate… Really!!! We could watch great service in the distance by others on the staff but we were blessed with the for mentioned today… It wasn’t packed; empty tables no wait.

I’ve heard a lot about Cracker Barrel from friends who have visited other states outside of my hometown in California, and was very excited to find out what all the fuss was about. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I was a little nervous about the service and possible racism that I might experience. Fortunately, my experience was an amazing one, and maybe the service has improved since the reviews were written, or possibly the racism never existed. Since we went on a Sunday, there was a bit of a wait. The host guesstimated that it would be about a 25 minute wait, but it only ended up being closer to 15. My friend and I wandered around and missed the call for the table, but the host was very nice about it when we explained the situation, and put us as a priority on the wait list for the next table. I’m not supposed to have gluten or dairy, but since I was on vacation, I decided to be a little adventurous and deal with the consequences later. I normally do not love pancakes, but I think Cracker Barrel has me hooked. These are probably the fluffiest and tastiest pancakes I’ve ever had, and they serve them with these warm bottles of maple syrup. They are huge, and will fill you up quickly. I also ordered the Chicken Spinach Strawberry salad, and that was really good too, although the chicken was a bit too salty for my taste. Now, for the service. I believe our server was named Astra, and she was the sweetest server ever! I remarked to my friend about how great she was, and my friend agreed. It totally made my visit an enjoyable one, and all servers could learn a thing or two from her!

Food and service has gone downhill in past couple of years. Wait staff forgets parts of your meal, does not refill drinks. Food taste and quality has dropped off. Seems like they push candy etc. more than service.

We came here as a dinner stop on our way down to Ft. Myers. The gift shop area was just like any other Cracker Barrel, filled with tiny antique toys and stuff that you’ll use once and never touch again. This part of the store was nice and cute. The restaurant half of the store was just as cute, there were vintage posters everywhere and it had a very old-fashioned feel to it. However, cuteness doesn’t overpower quality. I ordered the bacon half pound cheeseburger, and it didn’t taste too good. I had a rather stale bun, and the sweet pickles awkwardly took over all of the flavor. It got to the point where I had to take them out so I could taste the beef instead of the nauseatingly sweet pickles. However, the biscuits, fries, and grits, were delicious. They tasted very good, and I enjoyed them greatly. As always, there were rocking chairs and plenty of old time games to play. So all in all, I would say if you like Cracker Barrel, come here. However if you get a burger, make sure you ask for it without pickles. And if you have time, definitely check out the nice gift shop!

Why review a chain restaurant like Cracker Barrel? They’re all the same, right? Nope. ‘Fraid not. I don’t know what it is about these Cracker Barrels on the coast. The one in Slidell’s the same way. Aren’t we in the South? Isn’t this Southern cooking? Then why do they keep serving me these greasy little hockey pucks instead of real biscuits? Why are the grits runny and undercooked? Maybe I was spoiled living in Kentucky a few years back. Yeah, I know it’s not the REAL South an eleven-hour drive north from here, but they know how to make a biscuit up there. Maybe that’s it. Maybe biscuits aren’t really a Deep South thing. Am I wrong? Heck if I know, but I’m not wrong about how bad these biscuits are at this place. Or the grits. Or just about anything else, really. I’ve been to good Cracker Barrels before, and when they’re good, they’re on my regular rotation. They all get the same supplies. It’s all in knowing what to do with them once you’ve got them. And these folks here tend to slop it out like high school cafeteria line cooks. I’ll hit this place once in a blue moon just because a big plate of country ham is a nice thing(and pretty hard to screw up), but I’m just disappointed because I know how much better this place could be if somebody knew how to cook. I’m heading to Kentucky for a wedding in a couple of weeks. I think I’ll stop at a REAL Cracker Barrel. Rant over.

Like other Cracker Barrel store & restaurant’s this offers the same which is plenty of seating, rocking chairs outside in front of the location. Different types of entrée’s to choose from first time and seeing a Cracker Barrel serving Ribs!!! I was like I have to try them so I did and they were delicious maybe less BBQ flavor is needed but over all they tasted great easy to pull off! The french fries were some what hard but good and the cole slaw was delicious. Over all great place to stop in if your a local or traveling through.

isn’t this place known for it’s breakfast? or maybe not? was the worst breakfast out of my whole trip which is sad because I really wanted some good grits before I left… at least the chocolate milk was good but that’s pretty hard to mess up anyway. eggs weren’t that bad either. biscuits were disgusting.

This is a great place for meeting your low expectations. I was on a road trip with four other guys and Cracker Barrel seemed to be the only consistent restaurant that we came across. It’s pretty much everywhere when you’re on the road. There’s no excuse for us, though. We were probably one hour into the trip and we came here. We could have held out for more. But we didn’t. My brother left his sunglasses at the table and our waitress came out to the parking lot to give them to us. That’s good service. Walking through a store to get to the table? That’s just weird. But I am assuming that’s what all Cracker Barrels are like. What is a cracker barrel? That doesn’t even make sense. A barrel of crackers? You have a cracker problem. You should see a counselor. I saw the movie The Counselor on a plane. Did he have a name or did everyone just call him counselor? I will not be watching it again so I may not ever find out.

Great place for breakfast. Right off the highway. I really like a clean well run Resturant. Rosemary was our server, and she has been with Cracker Barrel since 2001. She was excellent!
