This place has really decent ORGANIC vegetable dishes and authentic Cantonese cuisine. The servers are all very friendly! Highly recommended.

This is the most friendly family own restaurant. The owner Lily is Vietnamese-Chinese and specialize not only The Phở but also provide authentic Cantonese herbal soup. She can cook the soup for you based on your body needs. All her vegetables are organic grown in her family’s backyard. Her Cage free steam chicken is delicious. Her newly special dishes — Steamed seafood Platter makes you mouth watering. She offered fresh fishes are caught from Catalina Island. It’s not a fancy restaurant but is defiantly worth the money.

Local gem in hacienda heights! DONOT think this is a Vietnamese Phở restaurant! They do serve very good Cantonese dishes! I would say their dishes are very good way better than their PHo. Their stir fried vegetables are very good and fresh as well! Recommended : — fish ball tofu pot — chicken soup

My family doesn’t really come here for the rice plates anymore. Their phở probably won’t live up to most people’s expectation; however, their dishes from Lili’s recipes are great! They are cheap and tasty. I fell in love with their steamed chicken with Chinese mushroom. Must try! Service is better than your average Chinese restaurant(unless you get the old grandma). But yeah come here for the Chinese dishes and not the phở: p

I love the charbroiled chicken here. The gem is the potato shrimp appetizer. There is a really nice authentic style of home cooking going on here. Lily’s recipe menu has some of the more American traditional favorites however the #9 on the regular menu is amazing! It’s a grilled beef skewer egg roll spring roll explosion of awesomeness.

The sign outside advertises their phở noodle soup. You would think that means their phở noodles would be good right? Nope. The only thing that this restaurant has going for them is that the bowls are quite large, even for a «small.» However, this is NOT a Vietnamese restaurant. It’s not even an authentic Chinese restaurant. The food was extremely bland that I had to use a lot of hoisin and sriracha sauce. It was probably the worst bowl of phở I have ever had. Sure, the price is cheap, so you really get what you pay for. My boyfriend ordered the wonton noodle soup. 30 minutes have passed and he never received his food. I finally asked the waitress about it(they only understand Chinese) and it turns out they gave his noodle soup to the WRONG table. It wasn’t even a simple mistake because the table that got his food was so far away from us. Then they told us that they ran out of noodles and asked if we were okay with a substitution. 40 minutes have passed and I was already so over it. Note: Utensils are filthy. When you ask for more napkins, they literally give you ONE. Seriously, so cheap. I hate this place.

Coming here for the first time. Service was fast, and we really enjoyed the food. The broth was great with fresh and well balanced favors. The BBQ pork and shrimp were very tasty from the grill. On the west side this is the place for sure.

We went with a party of 12 that included regulars that knew what to order. I liked that we could pre order so the food came out quickly(especially good with hungry little kids). Many of the items they ordered were not in the menu and props to them since their order was amazing. Flavors were diverse and definitely Chinese Vietnamese — great, complex flavors with a nice hint of spice and abundance of veggies. Small restaurants and on a Saturday night at 6 it was pretty packed with large parties. Service was great and friendly and Lily even came out to say hi and seemed really humble and kind. Everything was delicious, and in order of awesomeness: — pork chops — really well marinated, tender, and on the menu to boot! — vegetarian jai(tofu, mushrooms, noodles, veggies, great sauce) — yam greens(like spinach but without the aftertaste) — fresh lobster(5 lbs was a good amount for our seafood loving family) — fresh steamed fish — garlic shrimp — black bean clams — ox tail stew with tomato base(delicious sauce) — watercress soup(a giant serving — clear, simple)

If you are a third or fourth generation Cantonese Chinese American, going here and eating from the Lily’s menu is like going back in time and eating at your mom’s or grandma’s house. Delicious, authentic, home style. Vegetables picked straight from the owners garden. Incredibly flavorful soy sauce chicken, rich with anise. Bitter melon cooked with egg or cooked Any other way you ask. Ask what’s special for the day. It’s not fancy. It’s not expensive. But it transports to you back to the moments that etched the standard for food you would forever define to be good, and for that reason, it’s the best Chinese restaurant in LA!

Nasty. Came here once during my phở outbreak a couple weeks ago and was very disappointed. Veggie phở was ever so bland, luckily I got it to-go so I threw some seasonings from my pantry into it to try and spruce it up. It was still nasty though(side eye). Left my phở craving unsatisfied. Didn’t help that I read a review about a roach in their bread while I was eating. Can’t trust everyone’s phở.

Had the spicy beef noodle soup. The portions was large, the soup had decent flavored, but the beef really made the dish. The tea is surprisingly floral and delicious.

Do not expect much if you do come here to eat. Not a place to take your girlfriend on a date. The food is uummm… OK, I guess. It’s eatable, that’s all I can say. I would not be back again … sorry.

This place is okay. I don’t come here often, and when I do it’s typically because it’s close and I’m pressed for time, but I don’t want American fast food. Also… the restaurant name… what… Good things 1. You get your food real fast(we got our phở in 4 – 5 minutes) 2. There is no wait time to be seated(not that many customers) 3. Food is on the better side of average(but still average) 4. Food is relatively cheap($ 6 – 8) There’s a lot of things that this restaurant could do better if it wanted to join the top echelon of restaurants that serve phở, but I doubt that’s their goal. They seem pretty happy with being a low-key local phở shop in the area. It’s definitely not a fancy or a nice place, and you should know that before you go in. Don’t expect anything amazing, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

How does this place even still have customers? PEOPLE!!! DONOTEATHERE unless you like a little bit of COCKROACH protein with your noodles!!! This little establishment is owned and operated by the same people who run Quickly next door. Quickly is quite a disgusting place and doesn’t look sanitary at all. My husband and I got severe intestinal distress after consuming their beverages once. We never went back. I told my neighbor one day and she confessed that the same thing happened to her too. OK. But this review is about 2011 Noodle House. Anyway… one day I was too sick to cook dinner so my husband and I decided to try the Phở place next to Quickly(this was before I realized it was owned and operated by the same Quickly people) since it was just down the street from our house. My husband ordered phở. We shared it and concluded it was bland. Nothing special. I ordered bun(vermicelli). It looked OK. I poured the bowl of chili fish sauce dressing onto the bun. Next thing I saw was an inch long live cockroach… crawling out of the bun noodles gasping and desperately trying to keep itself from drowning from the tidal wave of chili fish sauce I just poured into the bun. Completely disgusted, I called the manager over. She says she has no idea how the cockroach got in there and offered to give me a new bowl of bun. «NOTHANKS!!!» I watched the manager take my cockroach bowl of bun away back to the kitchen and that is when I notice she crossed over to Quickly. They use the same kitchen. UGH… The manager didn’t even comp my meal. She didn’t charge me for the bun(because I didn’t eat any of it) but they still charged me for the phở. If I was in my right mind I would have taken a picture of the roach infested noodles and made a big stink. But I had the flu and after paying(NOTIPBTW) we left, swearing never to come back. So HEEDMYWARNINGFOLKS… this is not the place you want to go for anything you are going to put in your mouth and eat/drink.

Big portions and very tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed my BBQ pork and shrimp over vermicelli with fish sauce on the side. The BBQ pork and shrimp were tasty from the grill and the noodles were tender. My parents and I had plenty leftover from our orders that we took it all home for yummy second helpings a couple days later. We also saved room for some iced boba coffee from their adjoined shop next door.

2011 Noodle House is a little confusing. The Vietnamese dishes aren’t true Viet-style, mostly because they have a Chinese flair. But that doesn’t bother me because 2011 as saved me plenty of times when I was sick and needed something brothy, and when I was in a crunch for lunch. The phở broth is pretty flavorful without being too greasy, and they don’t skimp on noodles or broth. It’s a pretty filling portion for $ 6.25. I’m also a big fan of their spring rolls with charbroiled pork or beef for $ 4.25. When I was in a bind to pack my lunch for work, I would order a charbroiled pork chop plate, cut up the meat, and put it on a bed of spinach, and then some sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Voilà!!! The pork is super juicy and well-marinated. My parents also frequent 2011 Noodle House for the Chinese stir fried veggies, and for the braised beef soup noodles. Vietnamese dishes are no more than $ 8, and the Chinese dishes are a little pricier, especially when ordering something off Lily’s Recipes

Phở was very bland. Absolutely watered down or maybe just not a concentrated batch. Portion was very good. It’s a weird restaurant that also have chinese food. Somehow, the chinese foods seem better than the phở because the servers are all chinese. Even though the phở is on the cheap side, the quality is not that great so value is not there.

3.5 stars I like how Unilocal classifies this as «Chinese» [although correctly]. This place, as shown as a noodle house, does emphasize on its phở. But its phở is not the phở you’d get in Garden Grove. It’s a more Chinese-ified phở. Their soup/broth doesn’t have that much oil on the bottom(compared to other places). The pan fried pork noodles are good(I say pork because it tastes like pork), as they have the taste that you expect them to have along with less oil. I don’t know they do it, because after finishing –or as I do, wolfing– it down, there wasn’t that much oil at the bottom of the plate: O Their mini pork dumplings had thicker skin but other than that it was similar to the other mini dumplings I’ve had(but something about One Plus One Dumpling House in Chino Hills makes it a notch better). If you do want drinks from Quickly, tell your waitress and she will get it for you. Service is a bit slow for the water– I had to ask them rather than having them come over and automatically asking/refilling. The place is kinda small and the bathroom is a different story on its own, so hopefully you can come during an off time! It’s located in the plaza at the corner of Halliburton and Colima, and is closeby to Joy Karaōke if you know where that is.
