Went here with the family one time, had an awful experience from staff that didn’t seem to care, and we have never gone back.

I like it here. Food is good, decent cocktails, service is fine. Atmosphere is great, especially in the middle of hammonton. I like the gnocchi dish with 3 sauces. Recently had the Brussels sprouts with bacon– very tasty. A little bit pricey for what it is but it’s one of the only nicer restaurants in the immediate area so I get it.

Really really really great!!! Such an adorable Main Street, friendly, laid back yet sophisticated, wine bar atmosphere. Seems like they put a lot of attention into their specials, although we had the famous gnocchi duo, and it was fantastic. Everything was fantastic. The server was friendly and helped with the wine. we smacked on unique marinated olives while waiting for a baby kale and warm goat cheese fritti salad(special! So good!). Then we had the gnocchis which, suitably so, melt in your mouth. We finished with the scallops special over a risotto cake and broccoli-lobster sauce and the scallops were huge. My boyfriend and I split all of these and we left very pleased. Service was a tad slow but she had a couple tables at once at the 7:00 hit on a Wednesday night. It made us relax and enjoy the evening :) worth the 30 min hike it took to get there! If you’re in the area, goooooooo!

We stopped in two weekends ago for a nice lunch. We had a bottle of Amarone and shared the following food– arugula beet salad with goat cheese, duo of gnocchi, scallop with a risotto cake, oysters prepared with bacon(I cannot recall too many details I waited too long to write this review). For dessert we shared a salted caramel ice cream that was very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was spot on and we really enjoyed our visit. I have been here several times and have never had an issue but I feel this visit was the best so far.

Food is not worth the money. Not fresh. You can tell it was pre made and microwave heated. Not large portions either. More talking than service.

Best Valentines Day ever! I could not have picked a better place to go! Amazing food and amazing service and priced right! We decided to make this out ‘go-to’ place when we want a cocktail and a nice bite to eat. It really was one of the best meals I have had ever! Finally a place to visit all the time.

Best restaurant in South Jersey, period, full stop. Advice: Get small tapas, taste as much as possible. Everything they make is a great taste, so no risks, just awesomeness.

On a beautiful, sunny yet freezing cold afternoon, this was a great place to check out. Was definitely quiet inside, maybe a table or two sat, no noticeable music playing(and there should always be something playing.). Bartenders were friendly. There were three spots to dine in these ‘coves’, which is always a cute option, a little more privacy. The bar itself could use a small makeover, get organized, less cluttered. I went with a glass(or two) of Chardonnay(Foggy Oaks). Full flavored, crisp, delicious. $ 8 bucks was reasonable and the pours were heavy. We ordered a couple of different choices on the tapas menu: Cheese plate– it was fine. but seriously up your game please. The presentation was something I wouldn’t even do for a friend’s house invite, and the variety– boring. Manchego was one, and the other two were so similar but with a dry rub. Why not a goat! Or brie! Or triple crème?! Throw a little fun in there please.(Yes, I can be a cheese snob.) Also, there should always be some type of vehicle to eat said cheese. I found it odd when you asked if we wanted crackers, instead of just giving them to us, or even some sliced bread. Oysters– these stole the show and make me want to come back. Recommended by the bartender and excellent choice. They came out hot, topped with this slightly creamy, spinach, garlic, diced tomato mixture and were perfectly seasoned. Lamb lollipops–(3)chops beautifully cooked with just the right hint of rosemary, served standing up, leaning against a delicious mound of whipped potatoes. All in all, a little pricey, $ 80 and that’s without tip, so it’s not something I want to dine every weekend. I’m curious to taste more and see it a little more lively.

The place is really gorgeous inside. The wine selection promotes our local growers. I hate to give this place less than a satisfactory rating, but the food just isn’t that good. I haven’t been impressed with the 4 – 5 times I have eaten here. I was at a holiday party this year and they were handing out filet mignon sliders. It sounded exquisite, but tasted like frozen, then stalled, low grade meat. The crab cake was tasty, but that was it. In addition, it was such an unusual coincidence that 3 people I know and myself grew violently ill the very next day after eating here. That could have been caused by anything, so who knows.

Two of us stopped in for a drink. We sat at the bar and tried a few martinis between us. I was impressed with the selection of holiday themed drinks. We split the sliders which were ok. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I am putting this place in my permanent rotation for when I am in NJ visiting family. I also bought a gift certificate as a Christmas gift so I am spreading the cheer :)

Excellent food and wine selection. Service was excellent. Went there with a small group so we shared some items. Organic Tomato and Mozzarella was excellent. Crab Cake was good, but not as good as I hoped. Polenta triangles were good. Diver Scallops were incredible. One of the best tasting scallops I’ve ever had. Our server was knowledgable about the wines and was very prompt and attentive. I know this might sound petty, but the only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the chairs. I hate the chairs, you sink into them and you feel like you’re head is level with the table. I’m not sure why I see so many people liking the chairs on Unilocal

Outstanding!!! A superb find in downtown Hammonton. This has to be one if the best places I have dined at in a very long time. Excellent wine selection. Five star plus food. Well priced. We will return.

Nice atmosphere if not a bit snobby. Apps were ok but my friend and I both ordered risotto. It was terrible. Tasteless and bland w chewy, dry Braciole Not big drinkers so we didn’t try the wine. They were gracious and removed the entrée from our bill. Not worth the money. Seating was comfy but the chairs are way too low for the tables. Kathy

The best part about Annata is the ambiance– white table clothes, a lot of wood décor, wine bottles stored all over the place. It has a very relaxing atmosphere to it especially with their chairs. Anyone who’s been here knows what I’m talking about. All of the chairs for the tables are ridiculously comfortable. For a wine bar, I was expecting more extensive list of wines. It didn’t have any more or less than a typical nice restaurant. Now onto the food. Annata claims its food is tapas style. Whoever is trying to say their dishes are tapas style, needs a better understanding of tapas. The menu has two prices, one for a smaller size and the other for a larger. A few of the«smaller» dishes were ordered: the filet mignon cheesesteak sliders, pancetta wrapped pork tenderloin, and the lobster mac and cheese. There were three sliders, the only of the trio that were«tapas sized». They were good, but I was expecting a bit better being filet mignon steak. As for the pork tenderloin, this serving size was more like a traditional sized portion. The pork had a burgundy wine espagnole sauce that was amazing. The dish also came with a side of mashed potatoes that were very good with a garlic taste to them. Lastly, the mac and cheese was the size that could feed a basketball team. The bowl it came in was huge! The whole time I was wondering what the larger portion size came in. The m&c I felt was just ok and could have been better. Since these portion sizes are on the larger end, 2 – 3 people will be fine ordering the smaller of the two options. The nice thing about the huge sizes are you get a lot for your buck, but it is filling!

This is a darn shame. The food is pretty good, the value is very good, the service ok if we could have heard the servers, but the freaken noise. Holy crap its one of the loudest dinner experiences I have ever had. It was so loud that many times even with basically screaming, no one of our group heard each other. The management must know how loud it is what we assume to be a typical friday or saturday dinner. The prices are very reasonable, the food over all well worth it. I could list the individual plates, but after awhile of screaming just to be heard, who cares? Install some sound absorbing tiles, the acoustics just suck, suck in a big way. This is the first time a restaurant lost stars due to the noise… it was so over the top.

I was happy and excited to make the trek to Hammonton to try a restaurant that I had heard such great things about. I was not disappointed. One of the best parts about the meal here was the interesting collection of dishes. One of the specials I had, squid ink pasta(yes the pasta was made with actual squid ink, making it black) was delicious. Of course this being a wine bar, the meal would be incomplete without a delicious Italian wine. I was happy to try this little gem in the middle of the state and will make the trip again.
