Lovely little spot right by the beach! Yummy chicken and decent ribs(we have high standards for ribs being from Texas). A great choice if you’ve conquered the Road to Hana and need some refueling for the return journey or more hiking! Large portions and decent prices. I would recommend going with the chicken plate and skipping the ribs. As you drive up, you can see the roasting the chicken on their big fire pit/grill setup and they have all the food set up in the large gazebo. It almost feels like you’re just going to the park to meet friends up for a bbq picnic! Again I have to stress that it’s right by the beach and gorgeous! There’s the great ocean breeze, plenty of seating in the gazebo, or the other two little gazebos to the side, or tables out by the beach. It’s also easy to find because there’s at least 2 – 3 signs as you drive through Hana pointing you in the right direction. Little spray painted cardboard signs on the side of the road.

We found this gem just south of Hana yesterday and had a delicious lunch of grilled chicken, rice and salad. A $ 5 «donation» in the jar got us an ice cold Heineken. The setting is spectacular and it is among the best food we’ve had in Maui at a fraction of the price. We had a $ 300 dinner at Merriman’s the night before and Huli Huli food and view truly was better.

if you made it here from Lahaina… CONGRATSYOUSURVIVEDTHEROADTOHANA!!! That drive was sooooo crazy so getting to eat here afterwards was extremely rewarding!!! It was rainy day so there weren’t a lot of people when we got there. We also got here right before they closed so all they had left was the huli huli chicken but I ain’t mad cause it was delicious!!! It was so tender and tastes so yummy with some texas pete hot sauce :-) All rice plates are $ 10, which is a little pricy in my opinion, however it is one of the few places that are open on the side of the road. Don’t miss the spray painted cardboard sign on the side of the street!!! If it’s not too cold or rainy, sit outside by the shoreline. It’s absolutely beautiful!!!

Tired from a day of driving, and hiking, we saw a sign that huli uli chicken was open. It was mid afternoon. we fortunately found the place and immediately became anxious. they were packing up. we asked if they ar any food? just chicken and no sides. we asked if we could buy the chicken. they graciously said yes — the chicken was just perfect to make it even better, they threw in coconut candy for free. the drive to hana can be a trial bot boy this chicken and the proprietor are pretty good

Huli-Huli chicken is the only reason I would ever make the long drive to Hana again. After hours of winding roads, we were looking for some quick local food and this place was a great find! The chicken was the best we had on the island, full of flavor. The pork was good, too.

Generous plate of very flavorful and tender chicken with salad and rice. Prompt and friendly service too. Seating is below a cute little pavilion where you can see and hear waves crashing against the beach. Definitely the best deal on the whole drive to Hana

We arrived as they were closing and got the very last order of smoked BBQ ribs. We were invited to stay as long as we liked while we enjoyed absolutely delicious falling-off-the-bone ribs with rice and salad greens. The family invited us to stay into the evening as we listened to their neice sing and play ukelele. A wonderful family and a magical evening!

Excellent, generously portioned BBQ chicken served with rice and salad. BBQ a sauce is light just the way it should when you’re marinating chicken. it’s run by a very sweet family with 3 young kids. by donations.

All rice plates are $ 10. We went with the Hulihuli chicken with potato & mac mixed salad. Chicken was smokey and flavorful, but slightly dry. For the portions, I’d say $ 8.50 is more reasonable. Personal rec: get the Aloha canned guava juice. So refreshing but from here, it’s $ 2.

This is the same location as the food stand for Troys some other days of the week. Also, judging by my visit last year, different people make Huli Huli chicken differently as well. Last year it was delicious bbq that was flavored mostly with sauce — and this afternoon it was even more delicious smoked bbq. The portion was large, and was served with cabbage kimchi, undercooked rice(although I like my rice super soft), corn, & green salad. The chicken is so good! Last year it was an older married couple cooking the food and this year it was a younger man and older man cooking the food. Both times they have precooked the food and have kept it in covered food warmers. When the weather is windy it’s pretty amazing to sit in the hut or by the ocean, but when there isn’t a breeze there are flies galore! Just try to eat out in the open as much as possible to avoid the flies. We sat on a log by the crashing waves — not too shabby!!!

Really cool beach atmosphere with live music the day we stopped by. It’s like have chicken and ribs strait off the grill in a friends backyard that happens to live in one the most beautiful places ever.

My husband and I stopped by kinda randomly. We have driven past once but we made U turn because it smelled so good. They gave us sample and decided to get combo which is chicken and ribs with rice and steamed corn. It cost $ 10. It was sooooooo delicious! We were there on vacation. We miss this place already! I definitely wanna come back here again! But honestly, I want them to be on Oahu. Coz we live on Oahu. So we can buy every Saturday!!! Thank you for the great food! It was amazing!

Does not exist? We went two days in a row expecting to find some awesome rotisserie chicken but found nothing. The building in the pictures is correct, that exists, however on Friday it was completely empty with no trace of life. We went back on Saturday thinking it was a fluke but it ended up that Troy’s had setup shop in that building location. We decided to keep searching for food because it looked like all that was setup was pre-cooked catering pans. We went to Braddah Huts for the second time instead for some delicious BBQ.

Ocean front location, friendly service and wonderful food. They serve until they run out of food so go early. Don’t forget to buy homemade pineapple coconut bread to go.

Really amazing little chicken /BBQ pork place on the road just past Hana. There are a couple of other places nearby, but definitely find Huli Huli. Amazing food for $ 10(cash only) a plate and fun little beachside spot to hang out. They even had a Hawaiian duo playing. Moist chicken, tender ribs(definitely try some of the sauces and the local Hawaiian sea salt) and the roast pork was also great. All with rice and slaw. Delicious. There’s limited seating, but don’t miss the picnic table behind the main building out by the water. Really great spot.

Delicious, very local, pure nature…

Great little rotisserie chicken hut on the beach. Locals hang out and play music. Super chill spot. The chicken is delicious juicy and tender. Bring your own beer– they don’t have any. Rumor has it that they make and sell Lau Lau some days of the week.

Given that there is absolutely nothing to eat in Hana and what we did eat was«eh» it was nice to find this cute«outdoor beach park gazebo café.» We missed the chicken, they ran out but were troopers and got some Mexican soup and(I think) fried shrimp. I loved the soup not so much whatever the other thing was. So bad I can’t remember what it was! As we were leaving the chicken was ready and it looked great. I still wish we took some to go. Oh well next time. What a life.

Definitely a locals pit stop. We had tried it the first time we drove to Hana and is was amazing. This time we stopped after the drive to the waterfalls, I was disappointed. Seems like I was eating leftovers.

Right on the side of the road in south Kihei. Doesn’t look like much but great chicken. Bought a whole chicken and the kids could not get enough in their greasy little hands.
