Wow. Great food, great ambiance, great location, great price. Not something I thought I would find on the beach near Hana. The ribs I ate were some of the best I ever had. To be fair, the cook said they were the best he ever made, so maybe I got lucky and got a really good batch. The staff were friendly, and I couldn’t have been happier with my meal. I highly recommend this place.

Not sure whats going on here. We were very tired trying to find somewhere to eat and drove passed this place twice. We finally figured out this was the place and it’s outside. We asked the men sitting there are you open they said sometimes and went back to drinking… LOL ! Again not sure if this place really exist.

Can’t say enough good about Koki Sistahz! We stayed 3 nights in Hana and by the time we’d return from our day’s explorations, all but two restaurants were closed(the two are well publicized and for my tastes, have expensive forgettable food. We found Koki Sistahz on our last late afternoon/early evening! Beautiful location just 150 yards from the ocean and what a lovely view. Choice of eating either inside the 30′ x 40′ open air hut or outside either on a picnic table or, like we did, in one of the two semi-private wooden gazebos with built –in table and bench seating on two sides. It was an idyllic time because of all of the beauty of nature around us AND the warm, friendly(like we were locals) owner, lovely lady that blew my vegetarian tastes buds(and expectations) with the fresh, healthy, tasty stir-fried vegetables with nicely seasoned rice. My sweetheart was very happy with his chicken dish. I don’t often take the time to write a review, but given the surprisingly limited dining choices in Hana and closing times of many(4 pm or 5 pm if the place happens to be open that day), I wanted to give a big shout out to Koki Sistahz! They are expanding their hours(which are already better than any except the two biggest places I referred to above). They already offer breakfast one or two days a week, lunch and dinner almost every day, with dinner until 7:30 or 8 pm! Such good people, such good food in an amazingly lovely nature bayside setting. Also there was nice entertainment with a woman singing and playing guitar. Bön appetit!

Great food right on the beach. We tried huli chicken, fried pork chops and fried shrimp. All were great and big portions. You can bring your own drinks too ! Enjoyed meeting nice locals and tourists. Definitely better deal then sit down dinner spots in town.

So nice to find a place in Hana for casual dinner(a locals type place too)! We had Huli Huli chicken plate — the sides of rice and potato mac salad were just OK but the chicken was super tasty. We cleaned the bones. Also, it’s a very casual place — BYOB and you might hear some live music while you’re there as well.

Dining out options in Hana are very limited, but thanks to recently-opened Koki Sistahs, visitors and locals now have a truly unique and enchanting place for lunch and dinner. The location is absolutely stunning, on Haneo’o Point, between Koki beach and the Loko Nui(large fish pond) of Hamoa, across from Alau Island, with amazing views in all directions from this open-air pavilion. The food is very ono(delicious) local-style grinds, with generous helpings. Be prepared, it is not your typical restaurant and is make-shift in some ways, but it is a really sweet, relaxing atmosphere with locals interacting with visitors in a laid-back way, live music from local musicians much of the time, and the sound of waves breaking just over yonder. The restaurant is in operation under the reinstated Hawaiian Kingdom government, so your patronage supports Hawaiians rights and justice, and if you ask you can get good information about the true situation in Hawaii, and go far beyond the typical tourist in understanding Hawaii and it’s unique history and situation. But go for a great meal in a lovely spot! (And enjoy the free wi-fi!)

Some locals told us to check out the dinner at Koki Beach, little did we know we were stumbling upon our best night in Hana. This gem of a place is run by the sweetest, friendliest girl and her friends and family, serving up some delicious traditional Hawaiian eats. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere is unmatched anywhere in Hana. Located at nearby Koki Beach, your dinner is prepared and served in a beach hut just off the beach with live music most nights. Customers are a mix of tourists and locals, we ended up hanging out with the locals and having an amazing night. All the other food places close in Hana at 4pm except the overpriced hotel(not good) or the overpriced ranch house(not good). Wish we had found this place on our first night, but at least we have a reason to come back. If you do one thing on your stay in Hana, go check out the Koki Sistahs, there will be no regrets! Also, BYOB.

One of the best places on Maui to grab food on the go when you pass Hana. Take left down towards water at their neon sign Koki’s Grill. These guys cook during the day different things everyday. Food is amazing! They don’t like to advertise as they don’t want their place to be a madhouse but I feel there aren’t many places to go that’s fabulous so thought I’d share. Food is amazing!!!
