Updating this as we’ve eaten here three times in the last few weeks — the food is very good. We have not had anything we didn’t like. The ABC chicken is delicious and I love their Cobb Salad. Fantastic soups too. Service remains an issue — staff shows no sense of urgency and is not what I would consider bistro quality staff. And Tawna, the owner, is always there conducting business in the dining area. I don’t care to listen to her discussions with purveyors while I’m eating dinner with my husband right next to her. She does the same thing at their coffee shop, Stained Cup… interviewing applicants and taking up several tables. Wish she would take care of business elsewhere and leave the restaurants for her patrons.

The only good restaurant in Harbor Springs! On a recent 5 day trip, I ate at Paper Station 3 times and every time it was great. The service is fast and friendly, regardless if we were the only ones in the restaurant or if it was packed with only one waitress. The ABC, which is an almond crusted chicken on the dinner menu was AMAZING! Crispy and tender chicken over rice and wilted greens. The citrus salad, with mandarin oranges, grapefruit and goat cheese was so delicious and fresh, I’m going to have to try to recreate it while I’m downstate. The apple coleslaw, which is served with the sandwiches and burgers was crisp and refreshing. And I normally don’t even like coleslaw. The sweet pea burger was a little soggy and made it difficult to eat without a fork, but the favor was awesome and it was nice to have another vegitarian burger that was not a black bean burger. The only suggestion I have is they have a very large TV in the main dining room, which is quite distracting. Unless there is a big game on, they should just turn it off, 2 out of the 3 times I was there, it inexplicably was playing bull riding and the other time was some fishing show. No thanks! Also, be careful when opening the door, it’s difficult to see if there is someone on the other side of the door since the window is above most people’s line of vision.

Me and my girlfriend wanted to get some drinks after we had just went to another local business and grabbed a small pizza to go and we sat down outside and there chef told us we could not have other food on the patio. Even though we had ordered beer. I heard that Mike and Tawna are strong believers in helping other local businesses and working as a community and I find this very dissatisfying as they would not let us comfortably eat and drink while supporting local businesses.

This place was great! It’s a small place, but the service was great on a Saturday evening. We didn’t feel rushed. The Cubano Torta was amazing. Super flavorful. I would definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

I am in love with this place. The station burger and the chicken naan are my absolute go to’s, but the salads are amazing as well. I absolutely LOVE the onion rings and spicy dipping sauce. I can’t wait to try everything else they have to offer!

Nice new place in Harbor Springs to get a different twist on a burger. I had the Sweet Pea burger, is a sweet potato mix very good if you are not in the mood for a regular one. Fries need to be seasoned a little. But give this place a try, you will love the atmosphere too.

What a welcome addition to northern MI. It’s no secret that the other places in Harbor Springs seem to have a disdain for summer tourists. The menu is limited, but it has some unique items that taste great. Great beer menu too– they actually have some normal beers! Most places are too focused on beers that sound more like gross desserts these days. Looking forward to trying their breakfast next time we’re in Harbor.

We stopped in for a late afternoon drink — good addition for HS with the outside tables on Main Street! Retuned later that evening for dinner after looking at the menu — my husband and even the kids enjoyed it all!

Stopped in at 11:10 am on a Saturday, missed the breakfast menu. Had the BLT, it was very good. Service was a little disorganized. On weekends they should serve breakfast until noon or later. But the food is good.

My wife and I went for breakfast, which is a hard meal to screw up. I ordered the combination, which includes just about everything. My eggs were supposed to be over easy, but they were way… over…done. My whole wheat toast was cold and soggy. The bacon was overcooked. The«hash browns» I ordered well done and crispy weren’t hash browns at all, but home fries, lightly browned but definitely not well done, and rather soggy. There was no pure maple syrup for the pancakes, but rather a cheap, sugar-based topping, which they had to hunt down and bring later. Fake syrup is almost a crime in this part of Michigan, were pure maple syrup is produced locally and readily available, even if there’s a small surcharge to a diner. There’s really no excuse for this sort of garbage, especially at breakfast time. Any decent, short-order cook worth his or her salt should be able to turn out better with his or her eyes closed. Clearly, there’s a problem here. Stay away, unless you just don’t care, are drunk, hung over, or are related to the owner. Harbor Springs deserves better, and so do The Paper Station’s customers.

A great addition to the Harbors Springs collection of dining options. It’s only been open about week but the staff is attentive and the menu selections offer a change from the usual fare. The Greek Chicken Naan was very good and wife loved the Monte Cristo. The menu is complimented by nice beer and wine selection.

This place is fantastic with great atmosphere. Fair coctail and food prices. The owners and waitstaff seem super friendly. Recommend the onion rings and Cubano.

I wasn’t overly impressed. My mom ordered the Reuben. It was pretty good. The fries were nothing special. Under-seasoned. I got the Farmers’ Market salad. I liked the concept of it, but it needed something more. Perhaps some feta cheese and a more distinct dressing? It was just bitter and bland. The most frustrating part was my son’s grilled cheese which came with an ounce or two of blueberries. $ 9!!! The same price as my salad and just $ 2 less than my mom’s meal. That’s insane. It was just processed cheese on bread! Crazy.

Very nice addition to Harbor Springs. The cubano torta was spot on and piled high with roast pork and nicely smoked ham. Cool interior and I liked the flat screen TV on the wall also. The ‘half garage’ door open to the street helped to let some of the interior noise leak out onto the sidewalk. I’m looking forward to hitting up their breakfast soon. Fast and efficient service here also despite a very busy night for thursday’s diwntown ‘Night Musique’. Pro tip: get the hand battered onion rings!

Ordered the«Blind Pig» burger and truffle fries to split, it was wonderful! We also particularly liked the main-street location and atmosphere. Stop at The Paper Station!

This was my first visit to this new restaurant in Harbor Springs. In the old Mary Ellen’s building, it has turned the traditional diner into an American bistro with all the ambience you would expect from that phrase. They have worked out the opening glitches and I got excellent service and a truly outstanding lunch. The Greek Chicken Naan was fantastic and ensured that I will be a return customer. The garage door window at the front allows for shared indoor/outdoor seating and helps make a small space appear much larger. I think this is going to be a cozy winter dinner place when the time comes. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alcohol is available.

I went there for lunch on their second day open and I was impressed. The atmosphere is cool and classy, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch for the restaurant only being open for two days. One of the best qualities about this place is that it’s so cool, hip, and pleasant to go to. I love that there are so many great restaurants in the small towns of Harbor Springs and Petoskey and this is a great addition to the mix. The Paper Station seems like a fancy bistro you’d find in New York or Chicago. For food, I got the«Blind Pig» which is a large bacon cheeseburger. I have a big appetite, I was quite hungry, and this massive burger was more than enough! I’m a burger snob and I highly recommend trying out their burgers. The fries were nothing special, but they were amazing when paired with their garlic aioli sauce so I highly recommend getting some on the side.
