I love coming to Rudy’s. I love their pretzels with the mustard dipping sauce and their burgers and fries. I come here with my family. And I saw a cover band here a few weeks ago called White Weddings.

A lot of the negative reviews seem to be about the service but I’ve never had a problem. The food is decent for a bar and I like that it is independently run so it’s not a chain menu. Beer selection is adequate(about 25 or so taps).

Great venue for UFC fights. First time there and accommodated by manager at time Chris. He ROCKED, was very attentive and welcoming to our group. Food was great as well. Only small complaint was wait staff for evening was short, leaving many tables to tend for them & leaving us with several waits on drinks, so a little frustrating. But the staff worked hard & did there best. Will def be back to enjoy fights or games.

If I could give this place a zero I would. The fat black bouncer has a superiority complex and needs to be reminded we live in the 21st Century. The staff is rude, nasty, and not veteran friendly. We were asked to leave when we asked for service, even though we have held events here in the past. Will never ever go or suggest this place to anyone.

Rudy’s Staff discriminates against Veterans! Fat black man who works the door is lazy, disrespectful, and a disgrace! Came in for a beer and food with a group of fellow Veterans, wearing shirts indicating of such, and we were referred to as ‘you people’ and charged admission where others did not have to pay. Manager was called over and we were asked to leave and informed that we were not welcome there. People should not support an establishment where Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan Veterans, including disabled Veterans, were so blatantly tossed out like trash! Not just shocking, but hurtful. Will never walk through these doors again.

This place is so on point. The food is incredible for the price, service is awesome, and there’s tvs everywhere you look. Will be making this a regular hang out spot for games for sure.

Really good wings, and can’t beat the wing specials! Huge wing fan in general and the sauces here are thick & flavorful! I like the hot blue cheese the best. They come out crispy and juicy every time. Size of the wings are above average. Everything else is hit or miss. We order the football special nachos which are nothing to rave about but for $ 3 not complaining. Service has been fine every time. A lot of screens and they play every game. We came here so often that we forced ourselves to get nfl package at home to save money & calories, but we will still go…

I really want to like this place, however I have had 2 bad experiences within the last 2 months. For starters, my first waiter messed up the bill and charged my friend and I the wrong amounts after we left! Which means he altered the tip or entered it into the system wrong. I called the restaurant multiple times and was never able to get it fixed, I ended up having to file a claim with my credit card. The manager did nothing. I decided to try the place again, because I liked the food. Well that turned out even worse! Our waiter, who turned out to be the manager was HORRIBLE. He really should be fired or TRAINED. First he rushed us when we were ordering, then he didn’t come back to our table for over and hour. There was a large party, who we assume were his friends because he wouldn’t leave their group and left our table hanging. We would have ordered 1 – 2 more rounds because we were enjoying the music and atmosphere. Instead I had to track down another waitress and ask for a check — after my other friend asked the waiter for it once and he never gave it to us. At that point I asked to speak to a manager and found out that our waiter was the manager! He wouldn’t even come over to apologize, but sent the poor waitress to the table. She was apologetic and said that there was no other manager at the place. I had a long talk with the manager on how it was very unprofessional and that what he did was wrong. He didn’t seem to care and only took the wings off the bill. His friend — who didn’t work there, but was back with the wait staff decided to tell me to leave him alone and that he was once a waiter and knows how it is! I politely told him that I wasn’t talking to him and he was not involved in the conversation. At that point I thought about just walking out, he didn’t deserve a dime. I would have been more understanding if the waiter told us about the party and checked on us at least once or twice. OR even better, assigned our table to another waitress. But he didn’t do either, nor was he that apologetic. Sitting at a restaurant for over an HOUR without service is unacceptable. Just beware — their wait staff is clueless and their manager is horrid. I really hope the owner reads this and does something about it.

2.5 stars Bar staff are always fantastic. If you can, don’t get table service here. always ruins it. Food is a toss up… when you can get it. The kitchen’s hours are inconsistent. Have had a number of their wing varieties and they’re pretty solid when made right. Nachos are horrendous here. Waffle fries and onion rings are both pretty darn tasty. Waitstaff for the floor are clueless. Never able to make decisions on their own. The manager(older Hispanic or Greek guy) has absolutely no customer service skills. No one wants you gawking at them while they’re trying to enjoy their evening. I live in the immediate area and will go out of my way not to come here. Rudy’s is whack. They have live bands every weekend and it gets packed with nothing but geriatrics. Presently being the only Sports Bar option in the area, they get away with it but I’m hopeful that when Mimi’s opens up, they’ll be nothing like these folks.

If you’re looking to watch the World Series, GOSOMEWHEREELSE! No audio for the game. Rock music instead. Loud band comes on in the 7th Inning. Arrogant manager standing at the door watching half the place leave. Why would you have a band during the World Series? People were there to see the Mets until the band came on. This is not a sports bar!

New spot. Stumbled upon accidentally by my husband & I. I had the chicken pot pie… One word… Delicious! We were told that it was so popular as a special they decided to make it a staple on the menu. My husband had«The Birdie»: grilled chicken, roasted peppers, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato on a toasted roll. He enjoyed it very much… Cleaned his plate! I had enough to take home for round two! Reasonably priced… Great for football!

It’s a shame that the waitresses are nice and the food is decent because the owner and his managers could care less about their customers. I am a frequent customer and come buy often and still they couldn’t honor a simple request. Really? There wasn’t even a good reason for telling your loyal customer ‘no’. To be clear the owner isn’t even the one who told me no; he never even came over. Ignore unhappy customers; great way to run a business. I live up the block and will now drive out of the way just not to come here. Guess that’s what happens when you’re making money. You lose customers, more will come so you don’t care. Awful!

I have a gluten allergy and Rudy’s has consistently been a safe place for me to eat. They take food allergies very seriously here. Have always had great service and will continue to dine here.

I’m reluctant to give this place four stars. Not because I had a bad experience. Far from it. But I get the sense that this is the sort of place where your mileage could vary depending on who you end up having to deal with. Half of the staff strike me as not having a hospitable bone in their body, and the other half seem the type to go above and beyond. Case in point, when I came with two friends on what appeared to be a slow Monday evening, the girl at the front desk seemed annoyed we’d walked in. I was ready to write this off as a bad experience right then and there. But then we had the pleasure of having a waitress who was personable, attentive and friendlier than anyone you’d expect to find in a sports bar. She put a birthday candle in my brownie a la mode because one of my friends jokingly said it was my birthday. I told her firmly he was just being a jerk, but when she came out with dessert she said she didn’t want to risk it, all the while apologizing for any embarrassment caused. What a sweetheart. The food ranged from average to good. I thought the pulled pork nachos were decent and the wings were giant, juicy,(most likely GMO) monster wings with tasty sauces(although the bourbon wings were a touch heavy on the salt). Not as good as Candlight wings down the street but at $.39 a wing(Monday special?), I can’t really complain. I’d come back in the hopes that I’d end up having a similar experience but I wouldn’t be surprised if I felt compelled to write a review update with fewer stars. Cautious optimism is what I’d suggest if you’re going to come here.

I’ve now been to Rudys a couple of times for dinner and also gotten food to go. Me and my wife get the same thing every time we go, I’m sure the rest of the menu is good also but I can’t honestly say so because I always get the Cajun Chicken sandwich which is AWESOME. I highly recommend it. She gets the bbq ranch chicken salad. One time I went with a pastrami sandwich that was a daily special and that was also very good. Service is very good and every time we order food for pickup its always ready quickly and nice and hot. They have really good gameday specials and this is my favorite local bar for watching sports and bar food

I basically just found this place. I’ve seen it for a while on my jaunts up and down Central Ave, but hadn’t stopped in. Finally, I was in the mood to change that and boy am I glad. I have now been here about 4 times in the last month. First off, it’s pretty large. The bar is a good size, but there is also more than enough tables. They have a good number of tvs for all of your sporting needs, as well as those speaker boxes that allow you to listen to any of the games. The bartenders are great, the beer selection is pretty good and the food is amazing. The wings here are top notch. Easily the best in the area. They have a ton of flavors too, not just hot either. The bourbon are really tasty, the hot blue cheese are nice with a bit of a kick, my favorite are the Maryland Bay ones, which have bay seasoning. Hell, I even tried the PB&J wings. Yeah peanut butter and jelly. I liked them, they tasted more peanutty(I guess I made a word up) than anything, different, but good. I’ve had a few different things here as well. The burgers are good, big and filling. The sliders are great. I recommend the pulled pork ones. The buffalo chicken are good, but if you are going wings as well, it’s a lot of chicken. They also do really great things with the fries. Try the loaded fries they are amazing. Can’t wait to go back, maybe tomorrow!

This place is good competition to Candlelight. It’s got good food with an old school feel. The service is ehh sometimes there and sometimes not, but when they do serve you, they are with smiles. The food quantity and quality is great. It’s good ol bar/comfort food. Great wings, burgers, pulled pork, fried mac&cheese balls, EVERYTHING is good, but an artery clogger. You will leave here with a food coma, so be warned. The place is spacious with an abundant amount of TVs. I do appreciate the parking lot, and it’s never as crowded as Candlelight, and they accept credit cards. Cha-ching. This place is def worth a visit. I especially love the old school music that they play. It brings back memories. Very nostalgic.
