Denny’s

This is the place to eat and meet. They do not kick you out once you finish meal. I love to come here. Most of my friends birthdays are celebrated here. We were warm welcome everytime we came in. Great customer service. Food was served HOT!!!

The last time my girlfriend and I went there the service was horrible. We got there around midnight, we didn’t order our drinks until 30 mins after we were sat down. The waiters excuse was that he thought he took our order already. Then when we got our drinks (15mins later) and we noticed that one of the cups was dirty and had to ask for another one. Once he brought our drink back we finally ordered our food. We got our food, asked for ranch and didn’t get that for about another 15mins. He said he forgot and that he was sorry. At the end of our meal I noticed that there was a cockroach in my girlfriends food. Told the so called «manager» and he said sorry and gave us our check with no discount, no nothing. So I bit my tongue, paid my bill, and walked out. It was too late for me and didn’t feel like causing a scene. So yeah, this Denny’s is a NO from me and if I could I would rate it with 10 thumbs down.

They refuse to serve people… I can’t comment on the food cuz I could not get anyone to help. it show how’s much the employees hate their jobs to just not help customers on purpose… I’ll never go to any Denny’s ever again…& I hope this location gets closed

I have never like Denny’s. That being said, I adore coming to this Denny’s. My girlfriend and I regularly workout late well into the early hours and at times we are in need of some food to help with our recovery. Every time we come in the door Tete welcomes us with a smile and asks how we are doing. She is a delight, great customer service. Even though we always have custom orders she takes care of all of our needs. Thanks again Tete.

I have been here several times and customer service is okay but the food is just terrible. I had really gross and cold French toast once. I’ve had to ask for new pancakes, French toast, & fries all different visits. They only have maple syrup as a choice which some may not like. I’m done giving this place chances. The area in Hawthorne this place is in is also pretty sketchy. Save yourself the time& money.

If I could give this establishment a zero star rating I would. Terrible customer service, terrible management, terrible establishment all around. I called 6 times and no answer I can’t believe the phone was ignored 6 times. Terrible customer service I was appalled that I didn’t even get an apology after I explained to the manager that I called 6 times and got no answer.

I love coming here and when it’s your birthday u get to eat free way to go way to go I’ll be back

Waiter’s are nice, food takes long to come out, it is just OK. Manager doesn’t accept mobile coupons.

Pan cakes was on point and they cheesecake but I called it in and they never out in my order :(least the food was still hot but didn’t expect to wait.

it’s very peaceful and friendly. Love the food and the environment. I’ve only had good experiences here. I’m very happy with this Denny’s. Can’t wait to go back on Sunday.

good location however I feel like the property is short staff during the night shifts. I been here 3 times and it always takes our server about 15 min just to take the order. please take in to consideration!

I’ve Been coming here since 1989 and The Service keeps getting better and better,(ok maybe because they know me) I see new people come in and out and I still get treated with exceptional service, food is great and prices are reasonable and I rather go here then the buffet places down the street! This place is clean and friendly ! I wild recommend eating here late at after a night out or during the week ! Great Place and Great Food!

I was very impressed that they have now included Gluten Free notes on the menu. The food was good. The service was good. When we paid, though, I was disappointed to find that it is apparently a Big Deal which side of the pay counter I stand on (to the left or to the right of the register). If I stand where I am comfortable (the counter there is a good height for me — I’m short), they refuse to take my money! What’s that all about? Why make it difficult for a customer to pay?

I’m in a bit of a state of shock. I cannot believe I’m reviewing a Denny’s. What’s next, I wonder? Is a review of a Micky D’s in my future? I did promise to review every place of business I visit in a 2 week span so here goes.
This is my first Denny’s in about a dozen years. The last time was on a road trip. It was right next to a hotel we crashed in for the night. It was quick and serviceable.
This time I needed a quick place off the freeway to meet up with someone to go over some paperwork. We needed a quiet place with enough table space so we could spread out a bit. It needed to be a place where they wouldn’t kick us out the second we finished our meal. This place fit the bill. In addition to the above, this place offers complimentary power and wifi.

Walked in solo at this location, i was looked at like a creep… took a seat and nobody came up to ask shit. Minutes later, i get asked if i need a menu. Most uncomfortable wait ever… geeesh

I came here at 7pm and the services here was worse ever. Also it was only five people inside the restaurant not for sure why my food took so long with pancakes. Nobody came by to check on me to see if I needed anything not one time. The kids apples was sour Granny Apples are sweet not sour. Not coming here again. Worse Denny’s

I gone to others Denny’s and to be honest the food and serves was not the best.
Dennys on Hawthorne 132^nd has a great service and what I like also is the service.

I’ve been going to this Denny’s for years because it’s down the street from my home and the overall experience has never been 5 stars, but it’s sad to see such a decline in the operations of the restaurant.
I’d like this review to reflect more of a sympathetic tone versus an angry one, because it’s clear that this team needs some direction.
As I walked in, I read the sign that said «Please wait for hostess to be seated,» only problem was there was no one there. No one even greeted me, even the staff members who made awkward eye contact didn’t bother to at least say, «We’ll be right with you.» Terrible introduction. The rest of the experience mainly had me focused on the cleanliness standards… or lack there of. Dusty blinds, pepper shaker clearly not cleaned, and not to mention… how long has that balloon been stuck to the ceiling?
Anyway, the sign on the front door says it all. HELP WANTED… I say HELP NEEDED.
Daisy had a great smile and great energy, maybe she can help drive some energy in the restaurant

Have been here several times and always seem to like it. Liz, our server, was very nice and welcoming. The food in other Denny’s always looks like it came out of a box but here is an exception. So far so good and will come back. 5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service. More coffee please?

Man I love Denny’s! Whenever I’m low on dough but I’m craving a hearty breakfast this is my go-​to spot. They have a really cool $ 2,$ 4,$ 6,$ 8 menu that has really great value meals. Today I tried the grand slugger that consisted of 2 pancakes, has browns, eggs, 2 bacon and sausage, and complimentary coffee & orange juice! *drumroll please…* All for $ 8! Heck yeah.
The waiters here are really pleasant too. Checked up on us several times, filled my coffee without hesitation, and were really helpful. Our server was Elvia and she was great! They’re also open 24 hours so you can stop in whenever you please!
