Is this real life? Here on business for just 20 hours and staying across the street. There are probably 15 choices within walking distance but this one looked intriguing. I didn’t want a sit down meal and didn’t want Mcdonalds, Subway or Taco Bell. Very unassuming from the outside but the inside is very nice and clean. The staff were all happy and appeared to actually enjoy their jobs(as much as you can actually enjoy a job.) Here is where it got crazy… I got a double cheeseburger with a bunch of toppings and cheddar cheese. I got a chicken quesadilla, fries and a large soda with unlimited refills. it was $ 4.99. Yes, four dollars and ninety nine cents. Expecting the worst but cautiously optimistic I had to wait approximately 3 minutes for my food. The quesadilla was small but really good. Fries were natural cut and also very good. The burger was mediocre but plenty good and didn’t appear to be made from beef extract like most fast food places. I don’t mind the mediocre burger as it was a double, had cheddar and a bunch of toppings of my choice. For $ 4.99 it greatly exceeded expectations. There is no way I would have found anything better for less or even close really. Looking at the menu.5(or was it 4?) chicken nuggets for .99. BLT… .99. They’ve gone mad.

Cook out has not disappointed me YET! Their insatiably friendly and quick service only adds to the cook trays that I can’t get enough of. This location was actually my first time to try Cook Out and I’ve been a fan ever since. Cook out never fails.

No. The people in there are… interesting, but more importantly, the food is average for a fast food place. I was expecting something hopefully impressive from the other comments, but this place is not worth going out of your way for.

Rustic cabin meets fresh delish fast-food. This place is amazing for a quick bite. I have a habit of making long road trips from somewhere in the NorthEast(typically DC or NYC) down to Miami. This painfully long 19+ hour drive can get excruciatingly arduous. One of the few things that gets me through the trip is knowing that there is a Cook Out along the way to stop by at and chow down on some delicious fast-food on a budget! The milkshake menu is banging! I love that there are more than 10+ options for milkshakes including seasonal fruit blends. Usually you can even find chunks of real fruit in the creamy goodness. And let’s not forget that biscuits and hash puppies are side items at Cook Out! What I found interesting was the bible verses on the packaging. I guess its good food with a message(however you want to take the message).

It’s been over 5 years since I had cookout, they aren’t in the midwest. So when I was in the area for work and drove by I had to have it again. The food is good, but I can’t get over the sides that you can pick from to create a meal. I will keep going to Cook Out whenever I have the chance!

There is something on the menu for everyone and it is all delicious! What’s not to love about a place where a quesadilla is considered a side item?

Good alternative from the usual drive-thru experience. The food is pretty cheap, and pretty decent. Nothing spectacular — it’s still fast food — but it’s a good change-of-pace kind of place. Stand-outs for me were 1) the fact that you can get a corn dog as a side-dish, and 2) the milkshakes are legit.

Wait, is that right? A 5– star review for a burger drive through? Yes. Yes it is. I’m not sure how they do it but DANG they make some good burgers and AWESOME shakes. I’m from New England and when family or friends visit this is on my list of places to take them to. So, if your wondering should I go here tonight? Yes. Yes you should. Get in the car. Turn it on and get ready for some deliciousness.

After leaving Longhorn for crappy service we were starving and decided to check this place out. Service was great so was the food. The décor was nice also. I would recommend this place for quick service and good food.

Fast good tasting for for a really good price. The kitchen staff really works together to produce a great product. The 40+ milkshakes are great. The hard part is narrowing down your choice of flavor. Definitely will return.

Great food, great service, great selection. It took me longer to decide what I wanted than it took them to prepare my food. Super fast.

Courteous, Fast, Hot and always good food. The Cook Out has mastered fast food customer service. The large number of people in the kitchen work together to get your food cooked, bagged and too you in record time. I must applaud them for knowing how to organize each step. I do blame them for my stomach though. That BBQ platter keeps calls me even late at night, and knowing they’re open til 2am I’m right there. Five star experience always.

Had to update my review and give them another star since this location has improved in the past year. They haven’t messed up my order in a long time and they are really fast in the drive thru. Plus, the food is always hot and you get a lot for the money. Love their iced tea!

This is the first eat-in Cook Out I’ve been to in Metro Richmond; the others are double drive-in deals. The fare is the usual delicious, affordable food with a rustic, ranch/cabin-like décor and friendly, efficient service. Welcome to the East End, Cook Out! My family’s glad you’re here, and we LOVE the Christian music you play inside the restaurant! Free Wi-Fi too!
