I wouldn’t consider this a restaurant. I’d say it’s a bar. The inside was so empty so we sat outside which had a nice breeze but the music was so loud I couldn’t hear anything. And the menu was so small we didn’t order food. After we downed our drinks we left. And the service was terrible.

The Cove got the important things right. The food was really good and our waitress(Laura) was energetic and on the ball with everything. She recommended a dish for my wife and I and we were both very satisfied. I got the cobia oscar and my wife got the chicken alfredo. We both commented on how good the food was. The reason for 4 stars is because of the inside of the restaurant. It is dark and dingy with kind of a run down beach bar feel. There is an ugly/dirty looking water feature in the middle of the dining area. There is art all over the walls and where we sat was a big mirror that was really dirty. In my opinion, if you charge fine dining prices then the staff and décor should look the part. The kitchen is open and you can see the cooks wearing their everyday clothing. Every server had a different color shirt on. Get them some uniforms or make a dress code. The food was very worth the money but like I said the inside and staff could use some tlc. The back patio and bar area looked very nice. We will come back for the food.

In town visiting my brother and his family for the week and they suggested we go here. We started off with the fried shrimp with sweet chili sauce, that was delicious. I added a cup of lobster bisque to my order and that was quite tasty as well. It had a great tomato flavor to it and good hunks of lobster. My brother mentioned that the Hawaiian pork chop was pretty good so I ordered that with garlic mashed potatoes. It was ginormous and very juicy. I had enough left over for a whole meal the next day. This place really impressed me and will definitely make it a stop each time I come visit. Our waitress, Hope was very attentive and courteous as well.

On a day trip to Weeki Wachee, some friends and I found this restaurant via Unilocal for lunch. We were seated promptly and our server was very helpful. The food was A-OK, with the star being the spinach and crab dip appetizer. 2 members of our party ordered the early bird menu(which included dessert) while 2 did not. Our server brought all 4 of us dessert on the house, which I thought was very thoughtful(however, we all agreed that the Key Lime Pie they served was drastically missing some flavor.) Regardless, it was a nice experience.

Good steak and seasoned vegetables. The carrot cake was premade and defrosted. No place in ladies room to change a baby.

We had the best experience at this restaurant. The hostess & all of the staff were so friendly. We had four children with us, so we asked to be seated outside. The kids were entertained sitting by the water, looking down at the alligators & turtles. The food didn’t take long & was cooked to perfection! For such great food, the prices were extremely reasonable. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I were looking for something outside of the«chain» restaurants and found The Cove, it was outstanding! I had the bourbon glazed salmon and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the Hawaiian pork chop and it was EXCELLENT! I think the best part was the service, these are some of the nicest people! We will back! Love supporting local folks! Been here multiple times, love it!

My wife and I stopped by chance in the early afternoon, very few people here but the atmosphere was nice. I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta and my wife had the pan seared scallops. Both dishes were delicious, possibly the best I’ve ate. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend even though a bit pricy.

I’d recommend making reservations because this place gets busy for dinner. It was a last minute decision for us so we sat by the bar. Which was absolutely amazing. Our server/bartender Mel was the sweetest thing and she gave great recommendations on the food. We started off with conch fritters which were amazing and came with a piña colada dipping sauce which was heavenly. For our main course we had the lobster ravioli which had huge chunks of lobster and very cheesy. Absolutely amazing. And shrimp and scallop scampi which my BF thought was delicious. Also the dinner came with either soup or salad I had the lobster bisque which was out of this world delicious and he had the salad. I highly recommend this place it’s a bit out of the way but definitely a hidden gem. Five stars

The Cove is a locals kind of place. Friendly owners, management and staff, clean, and they serve FRESH food! Conch fritters and calamari are excellent and the bib salad is simple, yet amazingly fresh. Homemade dipping sauces and dressing. What We loved the most was the Cove supports local brewery, Marker 48. Prices are more than fair. Go, you will not be disappointed.

Came in with 5 people on Saturday and got sat immediately. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The Shrimp and Scallop scampi was a great choice. All around great place for seafood in Hernando Beach.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try. We started with the fried calamari, it was okay no tentacles the mustard key lime sauce just tasted like mustard, the peppers and tomatoes on it were uncooked. The bread and dipping sauce was terrible, hard bread and the dip was 90% oregano. The salad was good except for the croutons that could have chipped a tooth, they took a fork and knife to cut. The Brunswick soup had a good flavor. I got the scallop dinner with shrimp, the shrimp were cooked perfectly but the scallops were undercooked and chewy. My husband got the seafood platter and his shrimp cooked perfectly as well but the scallops were undercooked and the fish was overcooked and tough. Overall the food was mediocre at best, we will not be back for more.

Friendly service, good food, live entertainment with a tip jar. I always make reservations but on weeknights there is no need really. Skip the chains and give The Cove a try!

Good food and portions! Service was good and it was very busy! I had the caribbean pork chop with sweet potato and grilled pineapple and they were great; husband had the jerk chicken and it too was great… It’s on the Early Bird menu but you can get it at dinner too. We had the Conch fritters and they were good, the dipping sauce was very yummy if you are a coconut fan! My daughter and cousin shared the Hula Hula chicken and they ate almost all of it! Kid menu is ok and portion ok; a little pricey at $ 6.75. As for drinks the sangria was just ok; but the mango margarita was good(had it on the rocks because blinder was broken). Overall experience was very good and would definitely go back when in the area!

Hubby and I went for dinner here tonight. Great service from Carl and the food was great. If you go early they have early bird specials, and happy hour. We got there at 4:55, and they honored the early bird special. I got NY strip that was tender and great flavor. Husband got jerk chicken and he loved it. They had a guy singing great tunes and the Sangria was delish! Also lobster bisque was soooo good! We will return!

Off the main road in Spring Hill, FL but well worth looking for. We started with two excellent beers and had crispy dinner rolls with seasoned olive oil for dipping. We ordered the Hawaiian Pork Chops which came with salad, potatoes, veggies and a grilled pineapple wedge. The salad was fresh and came with house made dressing. The potatoes we chose were creamy garlic mashed. Very good. The grilled pineapple wedge was delicious. The grilled pork chops were the best. Tender, sweet and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is nice with live music. Service was excellent and friendly. I wish I could give The Cove more than five stars.

Got a chance to get back to The Cove, Hernando Beach over the weekend. Had the seafood chowder(very tasty, small criticism would be that’s it’s a little light on the seafood) and then the delicious pork chop. This is a great dish, cooked excellently and with a sweet taste, served with a pineapple slice. If you’ve had it then I’m sure you love it. Great place. The carrot cake was wonderful as well, and I don’t even like sweets.

«Off the Chart flavor! Excellent food and service. Started with Crab Cakes and Lobster Soup. Both delicious. Ordered grilled grouper with crab meat topping — full of flavor — awesome, Salads were fresh, home made dressing. Wife ordered grilled scallops with vegetables. Not dessert folks, but they looked great . Highly recommend this place. Live band & cold beer. Love it! Close to home. Bön appetite!
