I found the burger to be completely so-so. No atmosphere. Greasy fries. Very unimpressed. I won’t be going back — for a place to be named as a burger place — it should have tasted more like a burger.

First timer! Called in a Pick-Up order and taking advantage of their courtesy window on this rainy day! We’ll see… I got the Parmesan and Herb Fries with the 28 Burger… No Drink and it was over $ 14! That was a little surprising… The fries were wonderful! They were very hot and fresh along with the grated Parmesan and chopped herbs– DELICIOUS! The burger was good, but I wouldn’t say it really«wow-ed» me for the price. I’d certainly go back for the fries, but I wouldn’t get the burger again. The service was great and my food was ready right on time!

Just had dinner here. It was really good. The burger was not real big but it was really good & the staff was very nice. The large fries is enough for 2 people. I’ll will go back. This is not McDonalds so don’t expect it to be cheap. The burger was $ 5 and the large fries $ 5. If you want cheap, it at home!

I first went to BurgerFi in Winter Park, FL and was great to hear one opened here. What’s with the bad reviews? The food is exceptional and seems most of the bad reviews are due to the food not being prepared to someone’s liking. Here is a crazy thought, SPEAKUP. I have never been to a great place that wouldn’t make it right. You have bad days at work, it happens. You can’t expect a person to be «on» for their entire shift, just like you aren’t either. Give people a break. This is why we can’t have great places in Hickory is the attitude of «kiss my ass always» with no give on the customer’s part. Go ahead and go to Five Guys and tell me how that beer to go along with your burger tastes. Oh yeah, they don’t serve alcohol there.

Very good 100% Angus burgers, made to order. Kind of pricy, but the quality of the food is excellent. The french fry servings are large and can be shared; a bucket of fries will easily serve 4 to 6. For vegetarian fare, the quinoa burger is very good as well.

You know what this place is good for? Going for food with friends when you don’t want to hassle with splitting the check. You order from the counter but they bring it to your table, and you can get get(good) wine and beer. PLUS the burgers are really good. Solid veggie burger, and the Parmesan fries are amazing. The ice cream is legit, and I like those really big fans.

I’m updating my review because I can’t stay away and my experiences have been very good since my first visit. If I’m in Hickory, this is a must stop for lunch. Because I love the cry and fry and Chicago dog and I can always find a seat for the pups and I.

BURGERFI, your custard is amazing but your service is awful. The young gentleman working the register tonight(Nov 24) had zero customer service skills and the older guy behind the counter had no idea how to pour a beer. I was waiting patiently, next in line, and the young gentleman at the register helped the very next person who came through the door and completely ignored me. When I finally got to place my order, it took three times for him to record it correctly. After taking my order(medium swirl sundae with hot fudge and Oreos) he proceeded to make a LARGE sundae, completely stuffed with custard and no room for the hot fudge and Oreos. I basically got a pint of swirl sundae with a squirt of hot fudge and 2 crumbs of Oreos. I watched the older gentleman behind the counter pour three beers, each of which was extremely foamy. A few customers saw this same train wreck and proceeded to leave before giving BURGERFI their business. I really hope the manager sees this review and can teach the young gentleman a thing or two about customer service and how to make a sundae, both of which are critical life skills.

I must admit I have only ate here twice. The burgers are of high quality, quite similar to Five Guys. Fries are nothing special. However the onion rings are amazing and HUGE. Easily able to share.

I had hoped this would be Hickory’s fast food answer to Mooresville’s delicious Blu Star Grill(which also boasts using fresh quality ingredients, with a larger protein selection than BurgerFi). I was deeply disappointed. I’ve heard the service to be friendly, maybe I caught them on an off day because there was very low morale among the staff I saw and I didn’t even get a greeting. I found the patties on the BurgerFi Burger to have a similar taste and consistency to that of McDonalds. Not at all impressed. Maybe I was expecting too much, but for the price and hype I thought it would be much better.

Confession time: We have been back several times since our prior reviews, and I can say that this place has grown on us. Their onion rings and fries are consistently hot, fresh and delicious. Their milk shakes are a regular staple for us. Their burgers are best when ordered as the«original» house prep, and for the budget-minded, we share the original(it’s a double), and by the time we eat several fries a couple rings and share a milkshake, we’re satisfied. I do appreciate that the management actually reads their Unilocal reviews(I spoke with a manager about this). They(generally) now have the music turned down enough to be able to have conversation within our group. Power to the Unilocalers! We spoke about the loud music, and they listened!

Stumbled on this gem and it did not disappoint. For those of you who haven’t been– imagine fast food convenience but with quality ingredients. After enjoying a stacked burger with countless toppings, I didn’t have the guilt I would have had after burger from another chain. I had to make a review because of the quality service I got. Will definitely be visiting again.

I was on a work trip and happened to find this place out based on Unilocal.I have heard of this establishment in NYC, and was eager to try it out. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ended up building my own burger, with white cheddar cheese, grilled mushrooms, burgerfi sauce, a fried egg, lettuce/tomato/onion, and cheese sauce(I love cheese). As a side, I got a large onion rings and a chocolate milkshake. The burger was delicious, and I enjoyed how the bun was lightly toasted. Even though I piled the burger up with toppings, it still tasted fresh and juicy. The onion rings were crispy and oily, just like I like them. I was surprised by how thick the chocolate milkshake was; usually with chain restaurants, they end up being a bit watery but this one was excellent. The whipped cream topping was a nice touch! All in all, I was stuffed after eating all of my meal, and I noticed that they have craft beer on tap as well. Will definitely come back here soon.

It was our first time here. The staff was nice and very pleasant. My husband had the double with just a piece of lettuce and a very small and thin tomato on it and it was very bland. I ordered the veggie burger which was very delicious. Our fries were hot and very good! Our beverages tasted refreshing. The other down sides are that the sliding glass door that leads to the outside dining area was kept open, making it very hot and muggy. We sat inside the restaurant to stay cool and comfortable while we ate our lunch; it was not the case here.

Burgers were very tasty but the draft beer selection is great — they just always seem to be out of everything. Not much seating for the crowd it draws

This place was such a disappointment. It started when we ordered our food and the cashier did not have any social skills whatsoever. After spending a small fortune for 2 burgers and 1 order of the cry+fry, waiting for awhile for our food, and then finding a hair in the food I do not think my husband and I will be back for a long time. We did take the food back however they only offered to replace the cry+fry. We had to request that the whole order be replaced(just a note the hair touched everything it was that long). After waiting again for the order my husband and I came to the conclusions that they only replaced the cry+fry due to our burgers being soggy and cold. I do have to say that the waitress did ask for us to check our food and was apologetic regarding the hair. I wish back yard burgers had stayed it is a lot better compared to this place. The establishment did send an email saying they would like to make things right. I provided my phone number but never received a phone call. Just they do not care about making things right. Defiantly will not be back.

I’ll begin by letting you know the food was good! I genuinely did not have a complaint nor a problem with the food! I too did a little research about this place before visiting and eagerly awaited their opening day! From what I saw from the pictures on their website, it gave me the impression that they were an upscale burger restaurant. Their prices were UP, but nothing else. I felt the décor was bland and not very appealing, the tables and chairs were boring, and the space small. It seems they don’t have enough seating outside, nor do they have enough seating to accommodate a few large parties inside or out. The empty tables upon my arrival were messy… not good for any establishment imho. And the menu was difficult to see, I thought it could be larger. It was an experience, but for the price and lack of ambience, I doubt I’ll be going back.

I’ve been waiting with great anticipation for this place to open. Read their website, love the philosophy. My expectations were high. Today they earned 2 stars — «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» That fits. We were greeted right away but then left standing at the registers feeling a little lost since 2 available registers were manned but the cashiers weren’t paying attention at all. Once our order was being taken, the cashier was as sweet as she could be. For 2 burgers, 1 order of onion rings and 2 soda fountain drinks the price was over $ 22. Wow! Awfully pricey and it doesn’t even come with table service. Once we got our drinks we were in search of a table. There were plenty of vacant tables but every last one needed to be cleaned, which was an interesting state of affairs since there was a young male employee buzzing about the dining room picking up trays. He just never actually washed the tables. We chose one that appeared mostly clean, wiped it off ourselves and began the wait. Being a newly opened restaurant and offering high quality food, a long wait to receive food was semi-expected and definitely excusable. But sitting there for so long gave us plenty of time to look around at all the uncleaned tables. Meanwhile, the young man buzzing around the dining room approached us three times to ask if we were doing okay. He seemed like a sweet kid and was clearly trying hard. I hope the management will teach him that being over-solicitous is equally annoying as ignoring patrons. The food finally arrived. While the giant onion rings were visually impressive, they are too big to comfortably eat. The burger tasted good but was no better than Five Guys. The patty was actually much smaller than expected and the bun swallowed it up. On a side note… they toast their logo into the top bun. Didn’t phase me a bit but my 8 year old was NOT impressed with a «burnt» bun(it wasn’t burnt… just looked like it where the logo was). Offering beer and wine is a definite plus. I will be sure to try that next time. I WILL go back and give them another chance before I decide firmly.(I’m feeling bummed because I REALLY wanted to love this place… for now, I’ll just keep cheering on Chipotle and PDQ.)
