Never again. Husband ordered a pepperoni/mushroom pizza and 45 minutes later still had not received it. Meanwhile at least 6 people who came in after us ordered personal pizzas had received theirs. The last straw was when a couple had only been their 5 – 6 minutes received their personal pizza.

I KNOW it’s not supposed to be good, but… ugh. Maybe I’m jaded, maybe I don’t know what’s fun anymore, maybe the biting sting of adulthood hit me too hard and I just hate everything. Or maybe, just maybe, the pizza is greasy, the restaurant is dirty, The pasta is rubbery, watery and the sauce is gross, and the desserts are tasteless and empty calories that don’t make me happy I ate. It’s sadness. I ate sadness. I’m diggin that Mac and Cheese pizza though. I don’t care what people say, Everybody likes Mac and Cheese(Within reason), don’t try and act like you didn’t eat at least three pieces.

CiCi’s is the Rodney Dangerfield of pizza franchises. {adjusts necktie} «They don’t get ‘no’ respect.» The local Hickory Cici’s is managed about as well as humanly possible by Mark Jones. The current sanitation rating is 98.0%, which gives one an idea of Mark’s efforts. Cici’s pizza is average on its best day. The employees can only do so much with the ingredients that they’re provided by corporate. A really good crispy crust pizza does not seem to be within their capabilities. I primarily come here for a small, inexpensive, basic salad. If I spot a good looking slice of pizza, I’ll try it. My primary motivation for coming to Cici’s is that«it’s inexpensive.» I also appreciate the free wi-fi. The screaming, ill behaved, tykes… not so much. Cici’s new volley in the pizza franchise wars is to offer stuffed crust pizza on the buffet. This puts them about twenty years behind Pizza Hut. This location’s most exotic pizza is a mac ‘n cheese pizza, which seems to be targeted toward the kiddies and tweens. Cici’s Pizza doesn’t get any respect, but then again, Rodney Dangerfield was never as funny as Richard Pryor.
