I put my review in the «tips» section, fail. My facial was so good and relaxing that I forgot how to Unilocal!Iris is wonderful and sweet. She made my skin glow and the products she uses are amazing, most of them are her own concoctions. I’m so happy that I found a facial place in Hilo that I can become a regular at!

I have to agree with all the other 5 stars out there ! Iris was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! So sweet! Beautiful relaxing environment! She was able to fit me in last minute and helped me find the place ! When i go back to Hawaii with out a doubt I’ll stop in for services!!! Highly recommend !

I love getting facials from Iris! She makes many of her own products using fresh fruits and she also uses a local facial care line that is wonderful for my skin and makes me feel all eco-​happy. My skin was constantly breaking out before I started getting facials, but receiving a facial once a month from Iris has cleared up my skin almost completely. Extractions can be unpleasant, but Iris manages to make them a lot less painful than most other places I’ve been, and I never leave with the awful red blotches I used to experience– she really knows what she is doing. Iris also usually offers some sort of special so it is reasonably affordable. Highly recommend getting a facial from Iris for both deep cleaning and relaxation!

This is a wonderful, professional and quaint spa in the Heart of Hilo. It is tucked away in an office and is appt-​only. There is a sign at the building with the phone number. There is no store front so keep that in mind if you are trying to for a walk-​in.
It is run solely by Iris Markham– Huddy. She is fully licensed and makes a lot of her own natural products. She also uses and sells mostly (maybe only?) locally made products. I bought her Tahitian Jasmin solid perfume and I also got the Ola lip-​balm both I LOVE and have been using every day since my visit 2 weeks ago. Also very reasonably priced for the quality
I got a 1hr facial. It was very relaxing and Iris paid great attention to detail to make sure i was comfortable. The room was very clean and smelled beautiful and there was really nice, calming music playing.
Everything she did felt wonderful and when I was done my skin was glowing and felt better than it ever has from any other facial. She used local honey, steam treatments, a sugar scrub and lots of lovely little things in between. I felt so pampered.
She also gave me some wonderful suggestions on how to maintain my skin for my complexion. I have been using the toner she suggested and my skin has tone and texture has improved greatly.
I was only back in Hilo for a visit. I am located in LA and I have to say, Mermade/​Iris is better than any spa I know of in Hilo and most of LA. I wish I didn’t live so far away. Otherwise I’d go back to try her other treatments like the galvanic and her bikini waxes. Next time I’m in Hilo.
