Let me start this review with the fact I live two blocks from this location and have for 2 years. So this observation is from almost 3 years of experience. Let me say– do not go to this location. First off… The soda/drink fountain is ALWAYS flat and MEGA gross. But that’s nothing. The problem is is that this McDs location is 1 block away from a homeless shelter that does not cater to the unfortunate… It caters to the drug addicts and humans that should be in insane asylums. The homeless shelter(it’s crazy the town would let this happen but it’s in the same building as a pre school) shuts down during the day… So the crazies are left to roam all day and most the night. Now I’d like to say I support helping the people that need help. But this shelter does no attempt at policing their crowd. The line to the shelter is literally multiple drug deals constantly going on. So– look forward to 3 – 4 harassing drug addicts asking for money before you even get to the counter to ask for a 10 piece nugget meal. Also. If you don’t give money. They will insult and harass you as you leave. The manager of this McDs even approached the shelter and addressed the issue that the drug dealing, street beggars were harassing the clients– to no avail. As I said I live near here and I have to constantly hear the threats, the drug deals, and the rudeness of homeless drug addicts that can’t even appreciate the tax payers money that provides a shelter for them. Steer clear of this McDonald’s at all costs. Because when the shelter is closed– this mcds allows them to just hang out all day in their business. Going to get a burger? Expect police, drug deals, aggressive homeless drug addicts insulting you if you don’t give them money… And more!

I ate here and the food looked nothing like the pictures. Didn’t even taste good. Lasted about 45 minutes in my body before i had to blow up the bathroom. STAYAWAY!!!

Looks nice and clean. Food is the same as any other Macdonalds obviously! I only eat Macdonalds once a year :)

Incredibly poorly run. Dirty. Limited menu, even when you order off the limited menu it takes forever. Limited menu doesn’t even have Big Mac??? Not satisfying. Not a single person here tried to be helpful. 2 machines with fountain soda, when pushing dr pepper both came out clear.

For years this Hoboken McDonald’s was rundown. It’s been totally renovated with a much improved layout and modernized design. It’s pleasant to eat in during the day, and the burgers and fries are consistently typical McD. Late weekend nights it’s another place altogether, especially when the bars close between 1:30 and 3:30AM. There aren’t too many fast food restaurants open late or 24 hours so the crowds converge here. For some failed business reason, management doesn’t staff up during those hours, even though it’s probably packed with long lines every weekend. The last time I was here, even with a limited menu(no Big Macs or Filet-o-Fish at a McD?!), there were 25 tickets on the board ahead of me… and a manager plus one cashier and one poor cook doing all the work in the back! They were overwhelmed and obviously a recipe for disaster with a boisterous, impatient crowd. Don’t ask why I come here during those hours!

I stopped in for breakfast and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. This is a pretty standard McDonald’s with standard prices and staff service. Bonus that it is 24hrs! Perhaps it is because I do not visit often that I do not experience the same occurances that others are speaking of, but my visit was fine. No issues at all. The food came out hot, and fresh, and it tasted just fine They were out of hot chocolate… but that can happen given the fridgid temps outside! I’d come back again, it’s a solid location.

BEWARE!!! I work around the corner from this place, 12am-8am, so not many places are open at these hours. I’m given a certain time for lunch every night which is typically 4am-4:30am. One day I figured I’d give them a shot. I get there and the doors are LOCKED(despite the huge yellow sign they have hanging in the window that says open 24 hours). They tell me to come back at 5am because they’re closed to switch over for breakfast(I for one have never heard of this in my life so I was shocked). I returned the next day at 5am to give it another shot, doors are LOCKED again! The same person from the day before proceeds to tell me they’re closed until 5:30am and come back then. I asked, «Then why did you tell me 5am yesterday?» The employee replies, «That was yesterday, today is a different day.» I reply, «Then how can you be a 24 hour facility and decide to close whenever you feel like it?» The employee proceeds to just shut and lock the door without a response. I guess they’re the only McDipshits that can just their own hours of operation when they’re suppose to be 24 hours…

Warm Soda. Yuck. Even the ice melted. But the place looks nice. Clean. Spacious. Honest ppl work there. I lost my wallet and they had it with everything inside.

These folks screwed up my order twice today. It’s quite amazing how I can order a plain cheeseburger… and get it with stuff on it twice. Once, hey it happens? Twice is simply impressive. There’s no words for this one…

This McDonald’s looks more like a coffee place than fast food. I feel like I’m in Miami or Los Angeles with the décor. Service is typical. I agree with other reviewers, there are homeless people in here. Otherwise, I like this McDonald’s.

They cleaned this McDonald’s up so much! It used to be a homeless hang out, something you’d see right out of NYC, urine stench and all. WHAT A MAKEOVER! Now it is really modern, somewhat od a future-esque décor, clean, relaxing, and keen to the eye. One of the nicest McDonald’s I’ve seen so far. Glad to see it come so far!

They finally opened this McDonald’s after a complete facelift they did on it. I have to say it looks great. The place is clean and has a luxurious décor which is more in line with the Hoboken feel.

This is one of the nicest McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. It was recently renovated — I just moved here so I have no idea what it was like before but it’s beautiful now. We came here for dinner one night for the buy one get one free Big Mac promo. We don’t go to McDonald’s often but we love Big Macs so we had to satisfy our Big Mac attack with the promo. Prices here seem to be lower than the NYC McDonald’s locations and these guys didn’t try to upsell me which I appreciated. In general, the prices at McDonald’s seem to be going up at a faster rate than general food inflation — remember the 49 cent hamburgers and $ 1 Big Mac promos??? It’s getting to the point where there are cheap and healthier alternatives. Specifically in Hoboken, I’d rather go to Mamoun’s for a $ 3 falafel sandwich than a regularly priced Big Mac which is $ 5 now!

The New Renovation had me update my review. These wonderfully designed Mickey D’s, Mc Café, whichever is your flavor are pretty cool to look at. This aided in saving McDonald’s European markets. Hey bright idea, let’s do the same to Hoboken, come on bub, you know what it used to look like. It was plagued with circa 1980s décor. I like design so it’s fun to see Mickey trying to swoon in an take over our eye first then stomach next. If it doesn’t work, I so want the furniture. Mr. Arne Jacobsen Mid-Century masterfully done«Egg chair», is my favorite piece seen at Mc Donald’s. I initially saw it in London and even in the 14th street/6th avenue location. I didn’t see it here maybe I missed it. Because I was more perplexed that food network was playing on the many flat screens. What was playing you say? It was the show, «Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger», a contradiction to say the least. Ohh, I did see another of the iconic chairs the«the seven chair,» by Mr. Jacobsen, tucked under the many trendy tables. The staff must have really gotten a super pep talk, like a new relationship. You meet the representative then so you will meet the real person. Finding out that isn’t her hair, it’s a weave. Dang! Hopefully they keep this Kelly Kapowski cheer going on. If you think about, kind of cool to have a «cool» place 24hrs with Wi-Fi and to chill out. Yes, the bums, «hobo»…kens will be there. What are you going to do c’est la vie. Food was fresh, for what it is. I ordered a café con leche. I think it’s only place around my area where I can get that, at Mickey D’s, no way, ok I guess could go to La Isla, but that line is too long. The most interesting thing was thinking of the old schematics of the building. Then take the patrons that are eating in the new design and place them in the same spot in old design. Some people were actually eating in the restroom. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! It makes me smile, so in your face Ronald. By the way I think he will be there so take the kiddies folks.

Thankfully, I haven’t eaten at McDonalds for years. However, that does not change the negative effect the fast food giant has made on my neighborhood. Having lived around the corner for years. Our streets have suffered from the insurmountable amount of trash it’s brand has left on our streets, sidewalks and homes. The franchises customers, employees and management have accepted zero responsibility for what’s happening right outside their door. Failing to follow the most basic rule in life«Don’t shit where you eat.» The place has been closed for renovations for months now and our block has never been cleaner. Screw you Ronald McDonald.

You know, I’m not really a McDonalds fan. I think the best I could give any McDonalds is a three, and I think the worst I could give any McDonalds is still a three. I mean, how do you screw it up? But this place is definitely your last-resort. Like, dead last. The cashiers are the epitome of sloppy, it turns into a SERIOUSMESS late at night — I don’t even want to go in here after 10pm after some of the crap I’ve had to put up with here. It’s 24 hours. However, I’ve passed by numerous occasions late at night where they were closed for a couple hours. Usually between 2am-4am. When I used to work the graveyard shift, I found myself very disappointed and opted to start going to the Dunkin Donuts nearby instead.

The freaks sure do come out at night! As Busta would say, I respect my conglomerate, but this particular location attracts an unnerving amount of crazies once the sun goes down. Came here with my boyfriend and our friend for quick food before we went out for the night around 9:30PM. There wasn’t much happening or so we thought, until my friend got Hi-C Orange all down her back. Turns out the couple behind us was having a lover’s quarrel and resorted to the old middle-school habit of a FOOOOOODFIIIIGHHHTTTT !!! Half eaten chicken nuggets and McDoubles strewn about, but don’t worry, the homeless guy lurking in the corner crept out to pick on their leftovers once they got kicked out… On the several other occasions I’ve gone here, it’s usually just packed with the 20 – 30 Y. Os who you avoided at the bar earlier in the night but they happen to still«be in the neighborhood.» Your best bet is to take your food and run. The food is your typical McD’s fare, but it’s kinda lame they eliminate like half the menu(most notably the dollar menu) at night– I guess it’s because everyone who pops in is to wasted too care!

McDonalds in Boken is sort of a last resort establishment; I would only venture in here in the wee hours of the morning but now I can choose 7 – 11 instead. McDonals purposely does not offer the dollar menu late at nght and a lot of the homeless end up stayed there through the night. Great for them, but not what I’m looking for. Additionally the cashiers frequently end up being unable to count change. During the day, typical McDonalds. You’re not missing much.

A McDonald’s is a McDonald’s no matter where you are. Whether its Hoboken, Boston, Egypt or China, it does not change very much. That is what you can expect from this place. They serve the standard food on the menu, at the standard price, and have the standard facility that they make it in. I can not really say that this place is much different than any other McD’s in New Jersey except in one regard… this place has more fights than any other McD’s that I have known. I could not tell you how many times I have walked past this place and either seen someone screaming at someone else, some pushing around, or some flying fists. I don’t know what it is with this place but it always seems like that is the case. Granted the times I usually witnesses these occurrences are between the hours of 10:00pm and 3:00am, it never fails to happen. I’m guessing that since it is the only dirt cheap place in Hoboken to get food at any time, it will attract anyone around the local area(especially drunk people). I gave this place two stars because the star rating says exactly what I am thinking; «Meh, I’ve experienced better.» I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for a quick bite and does not want to drop too many dimes on food. I suggest though when you walk in here to keep your head up because something is almost always going down. If you enjoy the sport of Extreme People Watching, this spot is great for doing it in the late evening/early morning. I will be stopping here again for late night food and entertainment.
